《The Silent Queen》Lurelin Village

"And we have arrived at Lurelin Village."
After waking up at the crack of dawn and leaving the castle the moment they were ready, Link and Zelda made a brisk journey across Hyrule to the small fishing village near the coast. Zelda, however, did not know where they were headed, and Link had to do all he could to contain his excitement.
"Lurelin- This is where you wanted to take me so badly?" Zelda gawked as their horses rode into the village.
"Yeah..." her husband replied bashfully, "you've been talking about how you wanted to visited this village for a while, and I figured that this could be our honeymoon destination."
"I'm thoroughly impressed." She winked, "I was fearful that you'd take us up into the mountains or into the depths of the Faron Region with nothing but a few measly portions of food."
"Truth be told, that was going to be the next option."
"Of course it was..."
The couple were greeted by the villagers, who all seemed to be overjoyed by the royal visit. The people were flocking out of their houses to see both Link and Zelda, and they all ranged from small children to the elderly.
"Your Majesty, it is an honour to have you visit us." A villager bowed.
"The honour is all mine." Zelda smiled as she dismounted her horse.
"Ah, Link, it's a pleasure to see you here again." A man said.
"It's wonderful to be back." Link grinned.
"Would you like us to take your bags to where you will be staying?" Thee man asked.
"Where are we staying?"
"In our inn." A woman answered as she stood by the man's side.
"Great!" The Queen clapped her hands together, "come on, Link."
Link and the man both took hold of the bags as the woman and Zelda walked toward a small building.
"The rooms are now separate for privacy." The woman explained, "Please, do join us for dinner once you have settled down."
"Will do, cheers." The Prince Consort waved and the man and woman left.

"Oh it's nice and compact." Zelda sighed as she looked around the room.
"Which means there's less space between us..."
Link's hands coiled around her waist as he pulled her closer, a faint smirk present on his lips.
"Oh huzzah, that means we have to get close." She sighed sarcastically, her hand resting against his chest.
"Oh don't worry, I'm dreading it more than you, but anyway, let's move onto the real fun!"
He let go of her eagerly and made a bound towards their bags, where he started searching through them frantically.
"You... you didn't pack any beach clothes?" He demanded.
"Don't you dare say that so accusingly!" Zelda snapped, "how in Hylia's name was I supposed to know that we were coming here?"
"If you don't know where we're going, you should pack for any condition."
"Next time, you pack!"
"No, because every time I do you say I'm pathetic and then you just take over."
"That's because you're hopeless!"
"Then don't tell me to pack instead!"
"Then don't tell me to pack everything you want!"
"Then... Whatever..." Link grumbled, crossing his arms and scrunching up his face as he sank down onto the bed.
Zelda chuckled to herself softly as she laid down on the bed and pulled him closer to her.
"Can I show you something?" She whispered.
Though his face was still annoyed, his expression softened slightly as he nodded. His wife smiled as she took hold of his left hand and slipped the ring off of his finger.
"Here, look." She urged, holding it up to him at eye level.
"'My Hero'?" He stated as he read the engraving on the inside of the ring.
His scowl turned into a smile while he pressed his lips against her lips, before moving up to her nose, then for forehead. Zelda tugged on his tunic slightly as she pulled him into a kiss, Link tumbling on top of her. They paused for breath, grinning childishly, but as they neared each other again, they were interrupted by the roar of hunger which emitted from Link's stomach.

"You're hungry? Again?"
"What do you mean 'again'? It's dinner time."
Zelda sighed as she pushed him off of her. She got up from the bed, flicked her hair away, then made for the door of their room, not before glancing back at Link and smiling.
"Come on, then, let's fill that seemingly endless stomach of yours." She grinned, drumming her fingers against the door frame.
"Right you are!"
They both walked out of their room and into the open space of the village, where they could see a few villagers gathering around a fire. Link looked up at the golden sky, then thought for a moment.
"It looks like they haven't even started cooking yet. Do you want to... Go see the sunset?"
Zelda took hold of his hand a smiled sweetly at him, before pulling him away from the villagers and toward the seashore. Link briefly let go of her hand as he pulled off his boots and rolled up his trousers, urging Zelda to do the same. After she did, their hands intertwined again as they allowed the water to lap again their feet. They stood hand in hand, watching in awe as the orange sun touched the blue sea, which reflected a soft, pale, golden colour. Link shot a side glance toward his wife, a small smile appearing on his face as he watched her look on at the sunset, her own face being bathed with the holy glow. He lived for moments like these. Where there was nothing but him and Zelda. Zelda and him.
"Could anything be more beautiful than this?" She sighed dreamily.
"Actually, you-"
Link was cut off by Zelda slapping her hand over his mouth and drawing nearer.
"Actions, not words." She breathed in his ear.
His hand found their place around her waist again as they leaned in for another kiss, though this time it was much longer. After they pulled away from each other, Link sat down on the sand, before patting it curiously. He then began pulling up scoops of it with his hand, then proceeded to pat it into a shape. Zelda watched on, bemused.
"Ta-dah!" The Prince consort said with a flourish, revealing a sand mound with a twig stuck in at the top.
"And it is..."
"Your castle!"
"Oh... It's...it's visible that you tried your best." Zelda cringed, patting her husband on his head.
"Can we go eat now?"
"Alright, let's go see if the food is ready."
They put their boots back on then walked back to the village. There they saw even more people gathered around a fire, and even something being roasted on a stick.
"Ah, good timing!" A villager called out, "the fish is practically roasted now."
The couple took a seat with the villagers, and where given a hearty chunk of fish, which caused Link to lick his lips eagerly.
"Eat up everyone!" A villager chuckled.
They all dug into their meal as the sky slowly faded from light to dark, and by the time they finished their meals, the sky was blanketed with stars that twinkled carelessly.
"That was a stupendous meal!" Link exclaimed.
"Why thank you." A man responded, slightly embarrassed.
"My goodness, that truly was a great meal." Zelda added.
"That's a huge compliment since she only eats the finest meals." Link said before receiving a nudge from the Queen.
The villagers spoke amongst themselves, leaving Link to scheme again.
"Tomorrow there's somewhere else I want to take you." He whispered in his wife's ear.
"More surprises?"
"Yeah."
"Ok, then."
"Alrighty, we should head to bed." Link announced, "We can't wake up late and let the day go to waste."
"Yeah, we should sleep, too." Another villager replied, "we have to go fishing quite early in the morning."
"Now you mention it... I'm rather tired." Zelda yawned.
"Would you like me to carry you?" Link offered.
"No... that won't be-"
Her husband picked her up and held her in his arms, before smirking and slinging her over his shoulder.
"Hey!"
"I didn't say how I'd carry you." He chuckled, clearly suppressing a torrent of laughter.
"You are the worst!" Zelda growled.
"For the love of Hylia, get used to it."
"I don't even know if that's possible..."
