《The Silent Queen》Group Reunion

"So you're telling me that we're leaving tomorrow?!" Zelda demanded.

The newly wed couple had retreated to their room to prepare for the reception. Link was slumped on the bed, which had rose petals scattered all over it, and Zelda was admiring her new gown in the mirror. The top of her dress was purple, and the skirt was a beige colour, which displayed the triforce proudly. She also wore golden shoulder plates, and upon her head was a golden head piece that was encrusted with an azure jewel.

"Yeah." Link replied lazily.

He was still dressed in his tunic that he wore at the ceremony, though it was now crumpled slightly.

"How do I look?"

Zelda turned away from the mirror and flicked her long blond away from her face as she slipped on a pair of silk gloves and put on her rings over it.

"Wow..." Link whispered.

His eyes widened as he stared at her, his mouth hanging open slightly.

"You, uh... You look alright." He answered casually.

"Oh, I knew I shouldn't have worn this." Zelda whimpered.

"No I'm kidding. You look amazing. Honestly."

"Really?"

"Yes. My, you would look stunning even if your were wearing the most ridiculous clothing ever."

"Ok, you can stop." The Queen chuckled, blushing slightly.

Link smirked as he sprung up from the bed, got down on one knee, and held out an arm dramatically.

"My dearest Zelda!" He declared, "You are the most beautiful person I have ever had the honour of laying eyes upon. Your beauty radiates so much that even the sun and moon are jealous of-"

"I said stop." His wife hissed, "Come on, tidy yourself up and lets go."

"I don't want to go."

Link crossed his arms and scrunched his face up.

"Think of all of the food you can stuff your pathetic little mouth with." Zelda bribed, "And all of the delicious sweet treats."

"You drive a hard bargain, my love." Her husband pondered, "But the only sweet treat I need is you."

"Charming... But for the love of Hylia, can we get a move on? The guests must be waiting."

Link reluctantly heaved himself from the bed, and ran his fingers through his hair.

"You are not going to the reception in this state!" Zelda scolded.

"Sounds good to me."

She feverishly patted down his clothes in attempt to tidy them up

"There, that's as close as you'll get to dashing." She sighed, patting his cheek.

"Rude."

"Now come, the food awaits."

***********

"Presenting Queen Zelda and Prince Consort Link!"

The guests all cheered as the newly wed couple entered the great hall, which was decorated for the night. There were tables to the sides for sitting and eating, and in the middle there was a space for dancing. The decorations were mostly blue, and ranged from blue flowers to blue bunting, and even blue frosting on some of the cakes.

"Oh wait, Link, close your eyes."

Before he could protest, Zelda placed her hands over his eyes, and began guiding him somewhere.

"I don't like this, Zelds..."

"Stop whining."

She guided him over to a table, then let go of him.

"Surprise!"

He blinked multiple times before focusing on a large cake, with four tiers, the bottom tier being almost as large as the table.

"Wow..."

"You said you wanted a large wedding cake." Zelda said bashfully.

He sneakily picked up a bit of the frosting with his finger, and licked it delectably.

"This is delicious!" He declared.

They spent the night chatting with guests who came to congratulate them, as well as dancing and snacking on food.

"Congratulations on your wedding!" A guest said, "But, uh, Your Majesty, do you happen to know where the toilets are?"

"Allow me to show you where they are." Zelda replied apologetically.

Link smiled as he watched them leave. He picked up a tall glass of champagne from a passing servant, then downed it eagerly.

"At least one of you has to stay sober tonight."

He almost dropped his glass as Sidon enthusiastically thumped him on the back.

"Congratulations, Link." Sidon cheered.

Accompanying Sidon was Yunobo, Teba and Riju, who were all dressed in blue garments, reminiscing the ones worn by the previous champions. Most of them all looked the same, except Riju, who had grown taller and matured quite a bit. In fact, she no longer looked like a mere child anymore.

"Yeah, way to go, Goro!" Yunobo chuckled.

"May your marriage be an ever blissful one." Riju bowed.

"That is until she starts biting your head off..." Teba muttered, "I am kidding. Though, do be warned: things get tough when you try and add more members to your family. You have to think twice about everything you do or say."

"I'll... Bear that in mind." Link gulped.

"Where is the lucky lady, anyway?" Sidon asked.

"Gone to show a guest where the toilets are."

"Yes, where are the toilets?" Riju asked.

"I don't know what she's arranged, so don't ask me."

"I'm back!"

Zelda returned, and the new champions all cheered.

"And here's the sheath to the sword." Sidon muttered, causing Link to stamp on his foot.

"It's so great to finally see you all together again!" Zelda exclaimed.

"There was no way that we were going to miss your wedding." Yunobo replied.

"In fact, we were all waiting for this moment." Teba chuckled, "and I think I'm safe in saying that I spoke for everyone."

"Yeah, we all had to wait a long time thanks to someone..." Sidon glared at Link.

As Link opened his mouth to retaliate, he was cut off by a few notes of an accordion being played. He, and all of the others guests turned to where the musicians were to see a blue Rito stood at the front holding an accordion.

"I'd like congratulate the Queen and her husband for their marriage." The Rito started, "And I would like to play a song in honour of them uniting."

The guests went silent as he began to play.

The chosen Hero; the divine Princess

Both battle the calamity in an instance.

After the battle was won, their task was done,

But their new adventure had only begun.

They travelled together, far and wide

Making sure not to show their other side.

Their hearts felt a pain, yearning for more.

Denying the one they had fallen for.

After so long they had accepted their fate

But there was one last step which they had to await.

The hero finally gave in to his passion,

And the two united in an elaborate fashion.

This is the tale of an undying desire

Of how their love will grow ever higher.

The Rito finished his song with a flourish, and the guests remained silent, before they erupted with cheers and clapping.

"Kass never fails to amaze me." Link murmured to Zelda.

Kass bowed a few times before setting down his accordion and making his way to the married couple.

"Kass! You were amazing!" Zelda grinned.

"Hearing the Queen say that means a lot." The Rito replied humbly.

"I'm sure your teacher would be proud." Link added.

"Thank you."

The new champions greeted the bard, and congratulated him for his performance.

"Oh hey, we should take a group photo, Goro!" Yunobo suggested.

"Did someone say photo?"

Purah joined them, and held up a shiekah slate.

"I brought my own shiekah slate for the every purpose of taking photos." She explained, "And I think, Your Majesty, you know the exact place to take this picture."

"I do." Zelda smiled, "Come on."

She led the group out of the great hall and into the gardens, which were glowing with nocturnal flowers. They all walked up to a stone gazebo, and Purah chuckled wistfully.

"I still remember it like it was yesterday." She sighed, "Well, get into place everyone!"

Link and Zelda both stood at the front, with Zelda hands interlocked in front of her, and Link's hanging down his side awkwardly.

"Come on, she's your wife!" Purah exclaimed, "Put an arm around her waist or something!"

The Prince Consort blushed before wrapping his arm around the Queen's waist. The other champions also got into place. Sidon stood next to Link, Teba stood next to Zelda, Yunobo stood at the back, crouching down slightly, and was lifting Riju up.

"Kass, won't you join us?" Teba called out.

"No I won't-"

Teba pulled Kass into the picture before he could finish his sentence.

"You're one of us." Teba chuckled.

"Alright, stay just like that!" Purah ordered, "ready? Click Snap!"

"Oh, that's a keeper!" The shiekah stated after looking at her slate.

The gentle breeze whistled through the night, making Zelda shiver slightly.

"Cold?" Link asked, rubbing her arm.

"Kinda..."

He wrapped his arms around her, and they both listened on as their companions chatted amongst themselves, the two of them lost in their own world.

"And then the Goron chief gave me the honour of firing his canon!" Yunobo declared proudly.

"That's great!" Sidon smiled, "I'm sure he saw the potential in you!"

"That's not all, though, Goro." The Goron continued, "did you hear about Riju?"

"Oh, it wasn't much." Riju blushed.

"Well tell us anyway." Teba urged.

"Bularia let me go out into the desert by myself to deal with some matters." Riju explained.

"Way to go!" The Zora Prince cheered, "I knew you could do it."

"I'm tired." Zelda whispered to Link, still in his arms, as the champions continued to talk.

He glanced at his watch.

"It should be over soon." He replied, "Should we go back and bid them farewell, we have to get up early tomorrow."

"But we're not done for the night." His wife teased.

"You said you were tired..."

She shrugged.

"I'm hungry." Link blurted out, "can I go get more food?"

"Don't come crying to me when you vomit in the middle of the night."

"Don't worry, I'll be sure to direct it all onto you."

"Looking forward to it..."

"Well, can I get more food?" Link aksed, "can I? Can I? Can-"

"I don't know, do whatever you want! I'm going to go pack our bags, and you can say bye to our guests."

"Oh, Link, you're suppose to take her to your room, not let her go by herself whilst you stuff your gob." Sidon frowned as he turned to them.

"But-"

"No buts."

"Don't worry, we can tell your guests that you both needed to sleep for tomorrow." Kass piped up.

"Yeah, and we'll tell them to scram!" Purah added.

"T-thank you." Zelda yawned.

"Well, come on!" Link called out, already inside the castle.

"Carry her, you weakling!" Sidon replied.

The Prince Consort grumbled to himself as he stormed back. He placed an arm around his wife's waist, then hoisted her up onto his shoulder before re-entering the castle.

"Seriously, Link?" Their friends heard Zelda say before they were long gone.

"Talk about romantic." Purah remarked.

"Kass, you should make a song about how silly the Hero is." The Zora Prince suggested.

"I believe there is actually a song which focuses on the princess's, now Queen I suppose, light hearted side." Kass explained, "Very few got to see that side of her, but my teacher was one of them, so he was inspired to write this song. However, he was in love with her, so it's probably not best to bring it up."

"Yeah, maybe not." Riju chuckled.

"Shall we all go back, Goro?" Yunobo asked.

"Perhaps." Teba responded, "maybe get some more cake."

"Alright, team, lets go in and have some fun!" Sidon winked.

********

"And I have officially 'carried' you to your room."

Link kicked the door open and let Zelda stand up by herself.

"Thanks..."

"Have you, uh, packed?" Link asked tentatively.

"I even packed your stuff."

"Great, because I forgot."

"I guessed something like that would happen." Zelda smiled warmly, "now then, I think I shall change into my night gown. Do you mind?"

She turned around and pointed at the lacing on the back of her dress.

"Sure..." link replied.

He fumbled with the string, poking his tongue out, before sighing heavily with annoyance.

"How do you even-"

"You're just tightening it now!"

He continued tugging on the lacing, until there was a quiet rip that was still loud enough for both of them to hear.

"I... y-you can fix it." Link offered frantically.

Zelda reached behind her for the hanging piece of string, then causally pulled it until it had become undone.

"Wasn't so hard, was it?" She growled before picking up her night gown and going behind the changing screen.

"It's going to be a fun life." Her husband muttered as he stripped down to his boxers then put on a shirt before collapsing onto the bed.

"I'll be sure to fix that!" Zelda snapped.

"I know you want fun too, Zelds."

"We've established that your idea of 'fun' is very much dangerous." She states as she sat on the bed in her night gown.

"Not dangerous, just fun. And there's going to be a lot of it where we're going tomorrow."

"I can't wait..."

"Anyway... Speaking of fun." Link mischievously grinned.

"Yes?"

"Care to... Shield surf down a hill but instead of just one shield there a shield on each foot!"

"Um..."

"Now that I say it out loud, it actually sounds pretty fun."

"Whatever floats your boat." Zelda sighed, "we should probably sleep now."

They both got under the covers and rested their heads on their pillows for a moment before Link turned to his wife.

"So, did you need anymore help with that lacing?"
