"Ugh, curse this rain!"

Link stared out of the window as the rain cascaded from the sky.

"No star gazing then?" Zelda said.

"Unless you want to go lie down in the rain?" Link replied sarcastically, "I hate the rain. It always comes down at the wrong moment."

"I like the rain." Zelda stated as she joined him at the window, "And I love nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa and listen to the rain patter against the window."

A small grin spread across Link's face. He'd just have to improvise. He quickly made his way to the fireplace and loaded it with wood, and soon enough, the room was full of warmth.

"Link, what are you doi-"

He then hurried into the kitchen and returned with a new bottle and two glasses in his hand.

"Again?!" Zelda exclaimed, "Two drink sessions in a day can hardly be good."

"Oh, come on." Link urged cheekily, "Its not like we drink all the time. Stop being so boring."

He placed the items on the table and reclined on the sofa with his hands behind his head, staring at Zelda expectantly. She pursed her lips and stared back at him, slowly walking towards him.

"What has gotten into you?" She demanded.

"More like what have I gotten int-"

She picked up a cushion and smacked him in the face.

"That's for being so disgusting!" She cried.

Link laughed and pulled her onto the sofa.

"You really need to chill." He said.

"You really need to shut up."

Link absent-mindedly touched his lips.

"Make me."

They were soon interlocked in a kiss, and spent the rest of the evening cuddled on the sofa, until they both fell asleep in each other's arms.

After waking up, washing and eating a hearty breakfast which Link had prepared, the two were ready to get a move on. They were both sat on the balcony of the house, and were over looking the small town.

"We could go see Robbie." Link suggested, "and get those books you had a heart attack over."

Zelda blushed.

"And then we can go see the construction of the Citadel." Link carried on, "then make our way to the next location."

"Oh, its such a shame that we have to leave this place." Zelda sighed, the wind whistling through her hair.

"We could come back some other time." Link said hopefully.

"I just want to stay here, forever, and never leave..."

"Hey, cheer up, at least the castle has a large library."

"Oh yes!" She exclaimed, "I could never leave the books in there! They're just too precious."

Link chuckled.

"To think that some books are upstaging me." He mumbled.

"Ha! What about your food!" Zelda retaliated.

"A man and his food is different." He said hotly.

"Man?"

Link raised his eyebrow questioningly.

"If wielding the Master Sword doesn't make me a man, I don't know what does." He said, crossing his arms

Zelda giggled.

"Oh, stop being so immature." Link scolded.

This time Zelda burst into a fit of laughter.

"This trip is making you insane!" He cried.

Zelda carried on laughing.

"Honestly, I don't know how I cope with you." Link sighed, before getting up and leaving the hysterical Queen on the balcony.

After all of their bags were packed, and Zelda had calmed down, they bade goodbye to their host and departed the town atop their horses.

"So you're still wearing that watch I gave you for your twentieth birthday?" Zelda asked after a while

"I've been wearing it this entire time, how have you only just noticed?" Link replied, "And anyway, it was Purah who made it."

"No, I'm just surprised that you've kept managed to keep it for a year." Zelda said airily, "You always seem to be breaking things."

"I do not!" Link cried.

"The royal blacksmith has made you an uncountable amount of bows and shields by now." The Queen carried on, "Thank Hylia that the Master Sword doesn't break."

"Yeah, well..."

"Oh Link!" Zelda chuckled, "You can't deny that you are a recipe for destruction."

They neared the ancient tech lab and dismounted their horses before Link knocked on the door.

"Who is it, what do you want?" A voice demanded.

"It is I, Link." The General announced, "Accompanied by the Queen of Hyrule."

The door opened to reveal a small, eccentric Shiekah man wearing strange goggles.

"Link!" The man boomed, "Good to see you again! I thought you died!"

"Good to see you, too, Robbie..."

"And Zelda, It's been so long." Robbie said, "Oh please, you two must come in."

They were both bustled into the lab by the excited scientist. The space was cluttered. There were shelves spilling with books and designs for sheikah technology littered across the floor. There was also an air of craziness and excitement, perhaps radiating from the little mad scientists

"Link, you remember my oven, Cherry?" Robbie asked fondly, indicating the small oven with a somewhat humanoid face.

"Robbie, do we have guests?"

A woman who was about half a century younger than Robbie approached the new guests.

"Oh, and my wife, Jerrin." Robbie added bashfully.

"Link, right?" Jerrin asked, "Yes, I remember you."

"Hiya." Link said awkwardly, "Uh, this is Zelda. I don't know if you've met her before."

"No, but I've heard many great things about you, Your Majesty." Jerrin smiled at Zelda.

"Zelda will do." She said.

"So, what brings you to our remote lab?" Jerrin asked.

Link took a deep breath.

"So, we're currently on a trip around Hyrule-"

"A honeymoon?" Robbie interrupted.

"N-No, not a honeymoon," Link went red, "Anyway, Zelda had an awful fright because she forgot to pack a book on ancient technology..."

"And so you were wondering if we could give you any?" Jerrin finished, "But of course we could! We have more than we know what to do with. Come with me, Zelda, I'll show you the best one's we've got, and you can choose from them."

"Oh, thank you so much!" Zelda said gratefully, following her hostess.

They stood next to one of the many shelves and the Queen began ruffling through the books, trying to find one she liked. Link had a feeling that they were going to be there for a while

"This should have been a honeymoon." Robbie grumbled, "What are you playing at, boy?"

"Hey, there's no need to rush things." Link said coolly, "We have all the time in the world."

"But you never know what's around the corner." The scientist urged, "You've got to make the most of every moment. I mean, just look at what happened with the Calamity, you almost died!"

Link sighed and bowed his head.

"You have a point." He said, "we never really know what's going to happen next."

"So much for them youngsters squeezing the juice out of life." Robbie scoffed.

"Uh..."

"Pah! You're in a young body! I'm in an old body! Consider yourself lucky!"

After what seemed like ages to Link, Jerrin and Zelda returned, and Zelda seemed to be very excited about the book in her hands. The book was small, but fairly thick, and it was decorated with elaborate sheikah patterns.

"The history of ancient technology." Jerrin said in response to Link's quizzical expression "Probably the most interesting topic."

"Why not a book on how to build the darn things?" Link asked.

"You make it sound so easy." Zelda said.

"yeah, yeah, whatever." Link mumbled, "We'll be off now, we need to go check out the citadel. Thank you so much."

"And don' forget about what I said." Robbie called out, "Life is quite unpredictable."

...This probably has to be the stupidest chapter I've ever written. In my defense, I am ill... Or maybe I just can't write? I might go back and change things up a bit when I feel better.
