《The Silent Queen》Packing Bags

"So tell me, what have you been getting up to yesterday?" Sidon asked airily.

It was the next day and Sidon and Link were watching Zelda as she played with some Zora children. Link and Zelda had got back from their day out quite late the day before, so they had no time to meet with Sidon.

"Not much..." Link replied, his face going a deep crimson.

"Oh Link, you old rascal." Sidon laughed heartily.

Link rubbed the back of his neck and laughed uncomfortably.

"Will you be staying any longer?" The Zora prince asked, changing the subject.

"Perhaps we'll make a move later." Link stated, "We've got a lot of places to go to."

Sidon nodded. Link watched as Zelda allowed the Zora children to play with her long hair. Today she was dressed in a light blue blouse and white leggings.

"If only those children were Hylian." Sidon sighed, "And looked like you. Then again, there might just be if what I am assuming is correct."

"For Hylia's sake!" Link hissed, "Mind your own business! I wouldn't do that before-"

"Ok! ok!" Sidon chuckled, "I'm just teasing."

"Good..." Link mumbled darkly.

Sidon smiled again and sighed.

"Well, I have things to do." He said, "I best be off. Good-bye, if I do not see you again before you leave."

As he left, Link averted his attention to Zelda. He couldn't help but have a goofy grin on his face as he watched her laugh with the Zora children. Maybe Sidon had a point? No. Link had a long way to go. There was still the matter of asking that dreaded question.

"Link, are you ok?" Zelda called out.

He snapped out of his trance and stared at her, a bewildered expression on his face.

"Wha- yeah, all's good." He replied.

Zelda whispered something to the Zora children which made them squeal with delight and run away.

"Got bored?" Link asked.

"I can only play with children for so long." Zelda said airily, "Anyway, there are bigger children in need of my attention."

"Wanna play tag?" Link giggled childishly.

Zelda sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Where are we going next?" She asked.

"Its a surprise..."

"Link! You know I hate surprises!" Zelda cried.

"Looks like you're going to have to hate me, then." He shrugged.

"Stop being so difficult!" She scolded, smacking his on his arm.

"Well excuse me, Your Majesty." Link muttered.

Zelda groaned with annoyance.

"Can we just get ready to get a move on?" She asked.

"Alright, get your bags packed."

"Won't you do it for me?" Zelda asked, putting on her best sad-dog face.

"For the right price." Link said cheekily.

"Agh!" The Queen cried with exasperation, "You're all the same!"

She stormed off to their room, leaving Link to supress his laughter. He took pleasure in making the Queen of Hyrule annoyed, because he knew that she couldn't stay mad at him for long. He even had a feeling that she would bring herself up to pack his bag as well.

Link took a few steps towards their room, then decided to take out his map and to find a route to their next destination. They could either take the horses and go the long way, or...

"Link, where have all of the your pants gone?"

"What?"

"Wait. Never mind. I found them."

He smiled as he returned back to his map. He knew her all too well. She knew him like the back of her hand. They had known each other for a very long time. Why was there a reason not to ask?

"Maybe because I'm scared..." He said to himself.

"Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will."

The words of a book Zelda had once read to him rattled in his mind. He remembered more from the books she had read rather than the ones he had read on his own. Perhaps it was because he paid more attention to her voice. Then again, every word that passes her lips enchants the General.

"Here, everything has been packed."

Link turned around to see Zelda lugging the bags.

"Let me take them." He offered.

His mind then started to race. If there were bags, that means they would have to take the horses, which means that they would have to go the long way.

"I even sorted your dirty clothes from your clean ones." Zelda added cheerfully.

"Thanks."

"Now you have to pay me in some sort of way." She said hopefully.

Link sighed and beckoned her closer. He then tipped her chin up, ready to kiss her.

"I didn't ask, though." He said, moving away.

"Fine..."

"Anyway, are you still not satisfied after yesterday?" Link added, grin sprawled across his face.

"Link!" Zelda exclaimed indignantly.

"Sorry..." He said hastily, "But you are really hard to impress."

"I guess I have high standard."

"Shall we get a move on or are we going to stay here discussing your so called 'standard'?"

"Fine, whatever, Mr. I-Can't-Relax-Because-I-Have-No-Life." Zelda mumbled as they made their way out of Zora's Domain.

"Fancy that, Mrs. I-Can't-Relax-Because-I-Have-No-Life." Link said under his breath.

"What was that?"

"N-Nothing." Link replied, going bright red in the face.

"You must stop mumbling." Zelda said, "I can't hear what you say most of the time."

"That's the point." Link mumbled.

They finally returned back to their horses and began their journey to Link's unknown location.

"I hope you've had fun." He asked after a while.

"I have." Replied Zelda, "Truly. Its been so good to finally unwind and relax."

"That's good." Link said warmly.

"Thank you, Link." Zelda smiled, "Thank you for everything."

"Don't thank me yet." He laughed, "Our journey has barely started."

"And I'm looking forward to the rest of it, even if I don't know where you're taking me." She stated, "I would follow you to the end of the world and not question it once."

"Awww, Zelda. You're making me blush."

"Well, you do look cute when you blush." Zelda giggled.

Link was probably the only guy she had seen who could look cute and handsome at the same time. He had his chiselled, devil-may-care complexion as well as his big blue eyes and adorable personality which just urged her to always want to hug him. Then again, this was the guy with the gentle touch who could also slay a multitude of monsters with the same hand.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Link asked.

"Why not?" Zelda replied, "If I'm in love I'll stare all I want. Don't think I haven't felt your eyes on me all the time."

Link's red cheeks became darker in colour.

"You're always so embarrassed." She laughed, "Relax."

"I've come to a point where I don't even know the meaning of relax." He stated.

"When we get back to the castle, we're going to have a full-on spa day." Zelda said.

"I like the idea of that."
