《The Silent Queen》Return To Zora's Domain

"Have you eaten? Are we ready to leave?"
"I'm eating." Link replied with his mouth full.
"Well, eat faster." Zelda said impatiently.
"Do you want me to choke like last time?" Link challenged.
Zelda stifled a laugh. She casted her mind back to when Link was in a rush to finish his breakfast, and soon enough found himself choking on a piece of toast. He would've just died then and there and Zelda wasn't eating with him.
"Yes, but I'm here." She whined, "So go on and choke, I don't care, just hurry up!"
Link gulped down his last bit of egg and wiped his mouth on a handkerchief.
"A'right, I'm done." He mumbled, "I don't get why you're excited, you don't even know where we're going."
"I'm excited nonetheless." Zelda said hotly, "So get going!"
Link chuckled as he checked over the horses and double checked their bags. It was good that she was excited for a change, and not stropping around the castle like she was on a constant period.
Link mounted his horse, and whistled out to Zelda.
"Now you're the one who's being slow!"
"Sorry..."
Zelda hopped onto Winter and urged her on into a gallop.
"Woah, hold your horses!" Link called out, "You don't even know the way."
"Just call out the directions!"
"Um... Right!"
"Hang on!" Zelda brought her horse to a stop, "Are we going to Zora's Domain?"
"Darn it!" Link exclaimed, "Stop being clever!"
"Why Zora's Domain in particular?" She asked.
"Just... The scenery is good..."
"Of Sidon." Zelda muttered as she urged Winter on again.
"Hey, come on, its not like that!" Link called out, "I'm not even ga-"
"Hello, fellow traveller!"
A man was standing on the pathway, waving at Link and Zelda. He had a unsettling grin on his face.
"Shut up Yiga." Link spat, "I honestly do not care!"
"You will di-"
"I said shut it!" He shouted, "Carry on and it will be you who dies! Is that clear?"
The traveller disappeared in poof of smoke and then reappeared as a Yiga.
"Link?" Zelda said with uncertainty.

"Last chance..." He warned the Yiga whilst drawing his own sword.
The Yiga shook his head and disappeared, and did not reappear again.
"They are such a nuisance." Link grumbled.
"Looks like you found your people, then." Zelda smirked.
Soon enough, the pair neared Zora's Domain, and were greeted by a cheerful friend.
"My, my, it is good to see the two of you again!"
"How's it going, Sidon?" Link asked.
"Marvellous!" Sidon boomed, "And you know, I think I'm finally getting the hang of controlling Ruta!"
The Queen and the General decided that new Champions had to be appointed. Link would stay as the Hylian Champion, though he did refuse, and Sidon, Teba, Riju and Yunobo became the Champions of their respective races. All of them were so eager to uptake the place that was once occupied by legends.
"That's good to hear!" Zelda said happily, "I'm sure that Mipha is proud of you."
"I can feel her always watching over me." Sidon said softly, gazing up into the sky, "Oh, you must forgive me!"
"It's ok, Sidon." Zelda smiled reassuringly, "we all miss her."
"Well, we will not wait a second longer!" He said with a flourish, "let me take you to the domain!"
The three of them trekked you the path to Zora's Domain, with Sidon leading the way. It was good to be back knowing that there wasn't anything majorly important to be done, so Link could take all of the time in the world to relax: a word which he didn't use very often.
"Have your people been fairing well?" Zelda asked politely.
"They've been great." The Zora Prince replied, "I think they've found it in their hearts to move on from mourning for my beloved sister and to get going about with their daily lives. They all still remember her, but not as someone who was swallowed up by the Calamity, but as someone who was a hero."
Link smiled and looked down at his hands. He was the only one who was fortunate enough to see Mipha. She had aided him throughout his quest to annihilate Ganon.
"I say, I think that it is jolly good that the two of you are taking a break." Sidon added, "Speaking of which, where did you disappear off to during the ball?"

"Somewhere." Link replied.
"Keeping secrets, are we?" Sidon smirked.
"Oh, Sidon, its not like that !" Zelda cried.
"Of course it isn't, Your Majesty." He said with a grin.
"Hey Sidon, mind your own business." Link snapped.
The Zora grinned once more. He couldn't get enough of making these two Hylians uncomfortable.
"Well, we have arrived." He announced, "Make yourself at home. As you very well know, we have an inn for you to stay in."
"Thank you." Zelda said.
"And when you have time, I think my father would be more than pleased to talk to the two of you, though don't feel rushed to do so." Sidon carried on, "Seeing as it is late, I'm sure he can wait until tomorrow."
"Thanks."
"I won't keep you any longer." The Prince said, "I'll be on my way."
The Hylians watched as their host made his way up the spiralling staircases of the Domain, most probably heading towards the royal chamber.
"Happy now?" Zelda teased, "You saw him, now do you want to return back to me?"
"No I don't think I will." Link said with a grin, "Unless you can make it all the way up to the top of that mountain with me."
Zelda followed the direction of his pointed finger.
"Oh no!" She cried, "No! Last time we went up there, a lynel attacked me then you dragged me off of the cliff!"
"Yeah, but the lynel is dead."
"Can't we go somewhere else?" Zelda pleaded.
"We can swim up waterfalls?" Link suggested.
"I haven't got armour."
"But I do."
"Fine."
"And then we can swim up the waterfalls to take us to Polymus Mountain." He smirked.
"What is you addiction with that place?!"
"Its nice..."
"Have you got no where else to go?" Zelda asked sceptically, "a place where we haven't gone before? Maybe somewhere romantic?"
She batted her eyelashes and smiled sweetly
"Fine, we swim up waterfalls then take a ride on a raft down one of the rivers." Link sighed, "Is that romantic enough?!"
"Sounds great, darling." Zelda smirked as she kissed his cheek.
"But now its late, so there's no point." He said, putting his arm over her shoulder, "Do you just want to go for a walk? We can do all of those things tomorrow."
"Has it only been one day?" Zelda exclaimed as they made their way out of the Domain via one of the bridges.
"Uh-huh."
"Its been a great day." She sighed happily.
They walked up a small hill, and sat down at the top, over looking Zora's Domain.
"why are you smiling?" Zelda asked.
Link had a grin on his face. He couldn't help but remember a time where they found interactions like this awkward.
"Nothing." He replied.
Zelda smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Oh hey, look up at the sky!" Link exclaimed.
They both lay down and gazed up into the starry night sky. The tail of a shooting star could be seen glowing against the darkness. It was so mesmerising. But Link thought that the stars looked pale compared to her eyes...
"Make a wish." Link whispered.
He turned on his side and kissed her. She kissed him back, and wrapped her arms around him.
"I've made one." She whispered back, "Have you?"
"The same wish as ever." he replied.
"What is it?"
"I can't tell you that."
He then thought for a moment.
"Maybe I can..."
He felt around in his pocket for the box.
"Zelda... I-.. Will you-"
Before he could get the box or the words out, the ominous sound of a goat sounded behind him.
"What the-"
The goat charged at them. Link rolled out of the way, pulling Zelda with him.
"I hate that goat!" He shouted.
He picked up a near by rock and lobbed it at the goat with all of his strength.
"Eat that!"
"You're really not one with the wild, are you?" Zelda teased.
"Whatever." Link grumbled, "Its late. Lets get back."
He stood up and held his hand out for the Queen.
"And I promise that we'll do everything we planned tomorrow, ok?" he added.
"Ok!" Zelda smiled cheerfully as she sprung to her feet and held his hand.
"Anyway, what was your wish?" Link asked as they walked back.
"I can't tell you that."
