《Counterattack》The Fight

"Why not?" I question Ace, getting irritated.
"He is, 'The Blue King,' ring any bells?"
Blue king. That is a nice name. Wait, Blue King. BLUE king. It's Blue.
"August," I whisper, and Ace nods. I don't know how I feel about fighting my former best friend, but I am not backing down from a fight.
"So many people are gathered here to see me fight. I am not going to back down just because it's Blue," I inform Ace.
"Alex. He is strong, like crazy strong. He became an unbeatable champion only when he was 16 years old. He is naturally gifted," Ace warns me.
"Are you saying that I am not strong?" I gasp, getting offended.
"No, that is not what I meant," Ace sighs.
"I don't care. I am going," I announce and turn around to enter the ring. Ace catches my wrists and turns me around, pulling me into a hug.
"I know your stubborn behind won't listen to me. Just take care, ok? I don't want you getting hurt," I hug him back, taking deep breaths.
"I won't. I promise," I look at the ring to see Blue warming up. I sigh and enter the ring. He stops for a moment to look at me and suddenly starts chuckling. He is also wearing a mask similar to mine.
"Girl? I am fighting a girl?" He looks amused.
"Why? You think I am weak just because I am a girl?" I question feeling rage burn within me.
"Oh, no. I heard a lot about you from others. I have also seen a girl fight a guy double her size this week," He mumbles the last part, but I understand that he is talking about me.
"Must have been a strong girl," I start moving around to loosen the muscles.
"Not only strong but also very pretty," I stop moving and look at him as heat rise to my cheeks. I silently curse, and he continues talking,
"I am not going to lie. It will be embarrassing to get beaten up by a girl but, I am also an undefeated champion, so I won't go down without a fight," He smirks.
"Good to know because I am not backing down either."

"3, 2, 1 and FIGHT," I wince a bit from the loud cheering and hollering.
"Let's see what you got, pretty girl," We circle each other.
"I am going to make you regret calling me that," I announce with a smirk and take a step forward. He doesn't back down either and takes a step forward too.
Before I could blink, he throws a punch at me. I dodge but not soon enough. He gets the side of my face, and I stumble back from the impact.
Ace was not lying when he said Blue is strong. He has fast reflexes too. Usually, the one who makes the first move in a match has the upper hand. But this match is going to be different. I am going to win.
"Not bad," I compliment, and before he could answer, I take a step forward to jab hit his shin. He dodges it by moving to the side and tries to cross punch me, but I protect myself with my hands to the side of my face.
We both take a step backwards. August likes to go for fast punches since he has good reflexes. Even if his punches don't land, he can quickly defend himself from the opponent's attack. I pretty much have a grip on how he fights. Now, it's time for my counterattack.
It's not like only he has fast reflex and speed. I crouch down and extend my one leg, and swipe his body down. He didn't have enough time to jump, so he falls on his back.
I take this opportunity and sit on his stomach and start punching him on his face. He tries to protect himself, but I manage to land a few hits to his face. He uses his knee and lands a solid hit on my back. The breath catches on my throat, and I quickly get up and start coughing. He uses this time to get up.
August didn't waste any time. He holds both my legs and makes me go off balance, and I fall on my back. Just like I did, he manages to punch me a few times. As he is in between my legs, I use it as an opportunity. I bring my legs up, cross them and hold them as tight as I can so that he cannot escape.

"Nice fight," I give him an icy smile, and before he could react, I use my left hand to cup the back of his neck, and with my right elbow, I hit him hard on his temple, knocking him out.
The crowd is silent. No one would have thought I would defeat 'The Blue King'.
"The RUTHLESS QUEEN DEFEATS THE BLUE KING," The crowd erupts into screams and cheers.
I get up and stretch backwards and moan. August hit me pretty hard with his knee. It is definitely going to bruise. I exit the ring and spit the blood out of my mouth. His punches were hard and rigid too.
Ace walks to me with a grin on his face. He hands me a towel, I wipe my sweat and blood. We both head to the changing room. It's risky to take my mask off here, so I don't remove it. Ace helps me remove the tape and stretch to lessen the pain in my back.
If I want, I can fight someone else who dares to challenge me, but I am in no shape to fight now. August did a number on me with his kick and punches.
The door opens, and Blue comes in, holding his head. He stops there for a moment and massages both his temples. Thank goodness he has his eyes closed.
I look at Ace, panicked. If he sees us together, he will know who I am. Ace frantically looks around somewhere to hide. He runs to the left then to the right looking for places to hide. The room is completely empty except for a few benches.
"There is nowhere to hide," He whisper shouts.
"Just turn around or crouch down, you idiot," I whisper back, and before he could crouch down,
"Ace?" August questions.
"What are you doing here?" He questions and his eyes finally land on mine. He looks at Ace and then looks at me. He does it three more times, and he widens his eyes. I lie down and massage my temples. The headache tomorrow is going to be unbearable.
"No wonder you smelled familiar," I look at him weirdly. Knowing how I smell is not creepy at all. Nope.
"I fought Alex and lost. Wow," He exclaims. I motion Ace to lock the door and take off my mask.
But August goes from being surprised to furious.
"You brought her here? What if she gets seriously hurt?" He yells at Ace.
"Don't act like you care," Ace snarls back.
"I always cared for her,"
"Shut up. I already have a serious headache from your punches. If I get hurt or not is none of your business now. You are just a stranger who I fought today. That's all," I wear my mask and gather all my stuff and get up to leave the room. I stop and look at Blue before I open the door.
"I never thanked you for your kind words of motivation. I changed. Not because you asked me to, and not because I want to be your friend. I changed to this bad version of myself because I don't deserve other's bullshit. I was a nerd who was a victim of bullying, but now those same bullies tremble when I am in the room,"
"So, thanks again," I give him a menacing smile and finally leave the room, leaving him speechless.
Ace follows me, and we collect our reward money and leave the café. Ace grins at me once we settle down in his car.
"You go, queen. That was so bad and beautiful. I am so proud of you. It was also very satisfying to see him speechless," I chuckle and thank him. Even though it's late, we buy food, snacks, and pizza for all three of us to enjoy.
It was a good day.
"Not to ruin this moment, but you have to go to his house tomorrow to do your project," Adora reminds me just as I am about to doze off. I hit myself with a pillow, and she chuckles at my poor state. Tomorrow is going to be a disaster.

My guild was transported to another world, but I'm just the Illusionist Enchanter
Skyforge, the virtual reality game of the 22nd century. The NPCs were mostly boring cookie cutter characters, but at least the political and military aspects were amazing. A great guild could build their base any way they wished, take over territories by converting the landstones and lead great armies in massive wars - or wager everything in the great arena. Well, but I'm just an enchanter with a secondary illusion skill tree. In other words, I'm totally dependent on my guild. But since thanks to this guild I could play the way I wish I don't mind. After we were all sent to another world I kind of regretted not being able to play god with the others.
