~ Summer Preston's POV ~
I feel like crap. Literal poop.
It's been a week since the fight and everyone has been on edge. Anthony and Tanner got suspended for 2 games for fighting. Eric isnt talking to Tanner even though he has no idea why they fought. Matt has no idea whose side to choose. Kali chose Tanners and Marilyn & I chose Anthony's.
"What did Tanner do?" Eric asked again.
"Nothing" I sighed.
"So Anthony just beat the crap out of him for no reason?" Eric scoffed.
"Eric. Drop it. Please" I whine.
"No. You need to tell me. I'm your brother" Eric complained. "My best friends are fighting and won't tell me why. It makes it seem like it's about my sister who is dating one of them"
"Eric" I groaned.
"Are you okay?" Eric asked.
"Yes"
"Are you sure? Because Anthony hasn't talked to you since the fight" He said and I stayed quiet. "Did you cheat-"
"God no" I spat out. "It was about Yasmine"
"Why they broke up?" Eric asked.
"You knew?" I asked.
"He told me the night he found out"
"Then why would you stay friends with him?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You know Anthony. He doesn't let anything mess with friendships. Yasmine wasn't as important to him as their friendship" Eric sighs. "Which brings up the question, why did they fight?"
"Eric..."
"Fine, fine. I'll stop"
I honestly don't know what to do anymore. Everything seems to be falling apart. My friendships, Anthony & I's friendship and 'relationship.'
I wake up every morning with a pit in my stomach because I don't know what's going to happen. I hope everyday that I'll wake up and see a text message from him on my phone. But I never do.
You know what? It's been too long. We can't just not talk to each other. We may not be in a real relationship but he is my friend. We need to work this out. I'm going to call him.
"Hello?" His voice said through the phone and every ounce of confidence I had drained. "Summer?"
"Yeah! Hello" I exclaimed after a few minutes of silence.
"Are you okay?" He sighed.
"Yeah! I just..." I trail off.
"Just?" He asks.
"Miss you" I mumble. It feels stupid saying something like that to Anthony. This is the first time in years that we aren't talking over something we did. This is the first time I've ever missed him.

"Summer..."
"No it's okay! I know you're upset with me. I just wanted to check if... we were still continuing, you know" I yelp out.
"I guess so, Summer" He said.
"Okay! Talk to you soon I guess" I rush out and hang up.
A few more days past and it was still just as bad. Matt had ended of choosing Tanner's side. I didn't blame him though. He was closer to Tanner and didn't know what was going on. Eric, on the other hand, was furious.
Matt came home from hanging out with Tanner and Eric blew up on him in front if everyone. Which got Mom & Dad involved.
"What's going on?" Dad yelled over the boys argument.
"Summer did something that screwed Tanner and Anthony's friendship up and I'm supposed to just drop my best friend?" Matt yelled.
"I didn't do anything" I stared at him incredulously.
"So that's why you're not even talking to Anthony?" Matt jabbed back.
"You don't know anything about what's going on" I yelled.
"Summer, let your father deal with them" Mom stopped me.
"No! He can't just blame me for Tanner being an ass" I yelled.
"I don't even know what happened because none of you will tell me" Matt screamed back.
"Adam, you deal with the boys" Mom said while dragging me upstairs to her room.
"What's going on?" She asked.
"It's not fair" I burst into tears.
"What happened baby?" She wrapped her arms around me.
"I found out Yasmine slept with Tanner while she was dating Anthony" I sobbed into her chest.
"Oh sweetie" She rubbed my back.
We sat there until I stopped crying before she spoke again.
"Can you explain how the fight started? I'm confused about why this would cause such a rift" Mom asked.
"I confronted Tanner about it when I found out and I started yelling at him for doing that" I explained.
"Was this because of that crush you had on him?" She furrowed her eyebrows.
"No. It was because Tanner was supposed to be Anthony's best friend. Anthony spent months depressed about Yasmine and his break up. And he stayed friends with Tanner. How could he do that to his friend?" I ranted.
"Tanner... Tanner isn't a great person. I knew that since Eric brought him over when you two were in middle school. He would always do things that would benefit himself. In everything. I think Eric even started to see it last year when Tanner tried out for captain" Mom explained and I nodded in agreement. "What happened between you and Tony?"

"Tanner was being rude and he caught the ending of our conversation. So he started a fight with him" I explained.
"Is that how you got that bruise on your tummy?" Mom asked and I snorted at her use of the word 'tummy.'
"Yeah. It was an accident though. He didn't mean it. I threw myself on top of him to get him off of Tanner" I explained. "He hasn't talked to me much since then"
"Maybe he thinks you still have feelings for Tanner" Mom explained. "Try talking to him again"
That was 3 days ago and I still haven't talked to Anthony. I felt uncomfortable. Too uncomfortable in my own home. Dad was able to stop Eric & Matt's fight but the tension was still there.
It was Halloween tonight and I didn't know what I was going to do. Sage, May, Kevin, Devin & Mark were old enough to go trick or treat by themselves. Mom & Dad were taking Sky to their friends Halloween party. Matt was going out with some girl and Eric was going to a Halloween party. Marilyn was out with her mom. So I was all by myself for the night.
It was 8:30 when I heard a knock on the door. I assumed it was another trick or treater but I was surprised when I saw Anthony standing on my doorstep.
"Anthony?" I questioned.
"Summer" He stumbled inside and I sighed.
He was drunk.
"Are you okay, Anthony?" I asked following him inside.
"I should be asking you that" He said. "I hurt you"
"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Eric told me that you got hurt when I beat up Tanner" He explained.
"Oh, I'm fine Anthony. It was just a small bruise" I sighed. "I gave it to myself when I jumped in"
"I shouldn't of been fighting around you" He mumbled and I sighed. He was drunk and beating himself up over something this stupid.
"Tanner was being an ass. It's fine" I sat on the couch next to him.
"He was an ass. I can't believe you dated him" Anthony said annoyed.
"You and me both" I laughed quietly.
"You should have dated me" Anthony announced.
"Alright, drunky" I laughed.
"No I'm not even joking. I wouldn't have cheated on you" He announced and my smile dropped. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that"
"It's okay"
"Can I see the bruise?" He asks suddenly.
"Anthony-"
"Please" He glances down at me.
"Fine" I sigh and lift my shirt up enough for him to see the bruise.
"Damn" He hissed leaning lower to inspect it. "I'm really like him"
"What?"
"Nothing" He whispers, looking up at me.
For a few minutes we stared at each other before his lips were on mine. And I did something crazy. Like kiss back.
It wasn't like the kisses we had in front of people. Those were staged. There was nothing real about them. Those felt like the kisses I did while on stage, acting. But this one was real. Nobody was around and my arms started tingling. My heart started to flutter and-
"I'm sorry. I'm drunk" Anthony pulled back.
"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I'm drunk. I shouldn't of done that. It just felt like something to do since we do it so much" He shook his head.
The way he worded it didn't make sense but I knew what he meant. He's kissed me so many times in front of people that it just felt like something he was supposed to do. He didn't actually want to kiss me.
"I'm sorry for ignoring you. Everything can go back to normal now right?" He rubbed the back of his neck and I nodded. "Okay good. I need to get back to that party, but I'll see you tomorrow. Okay Sunshine?"
"Okay Anthony" I laughed and he smiled before walking out of the living room.
Once I heard the door close, I sighed.
This wasn't supposed to be happening.

The Sea of Destiny
[Let me be straight with you. This is trash, like old dime store novel trash. Don't expect grandiose writing, anything profound, or much beyond being free of spelling errors. Like my profile says, it’s hopefully like a salty snack, decent and satisfying for people looking for this kind of thing (at least that's my hope). It is simple, weird, and most likely growing in ridiculousness as it rapidly escalates.] Michael just wants to get away after a rough breakup. He figures some time alone cruising on a sick jet ski will help clear his head. After a small series of mishaps he winds up as humanities last hope adrift at sea after nuclear devastation destroys the mainland. Will he be able to solve the mystery of the bowl of the ancients before nuclear winter freezes over his dwindling food supply? Who are these mysterious women he keeps meeting, and will he even care about the talents they bring to the table, or will he be too focused on how they keep ruining his carefully laid plans for survival at sea? Read this cheesy short story to see for yourself, and discover the true mystery behind the hand of fate.

To Snag A Vampire
Where you would expect a brother-knight to be a paragon of virtue, discipline, and modesty — Oliver Arborough is a little off the mark, what with his frivolous, flippant nature and the tendency to give in to worldly desires. Teetering on the line between the finer things in life and the order’s tolerance, he faces a challenge that might just send him over the edge; On a routine assignment to kill some local legend terrorizing a rural countryside, our strapping young knight encounters an unparalleled beauty in the form of a young woman called Lenora — who happens to be said local legend terrorizing said rural countryside. And so begins the tale of a young knight and his reluctant companion, in a journey that the order most definitely would not approve of and could very well spell a life of hardship and strife for him in the future — but hey, doesn’t that just add to the thrill of it?

Island Paradise (Grashien Chronicles Book 1)

What will come of this unexpected change in circumstances? How will the tribes react? And will the Grashiens be able to rejoin society for good? Author's note: This is the first book in what is expected to be an eight-book series. The first few chapters aren't very good since they were written when I was about ten, but the quality improves around chapter 7. Please bear with it; I'll try to get the chapters in as soon as possible. Thanks!
