Chewing at the inside of my cheek, I toss my phone, the device spinning in the air before dropping onto my hand flawlessly. I sigh, and my body falls on the bed. It's been a week since Boopie and I talked. The last message he sent me is still repeatedly deluging my senses every once in a while. Does he really love me? Probably not. I mean, that would be ridiculous. He can't just fall in love with a stranger he has never seen before let alone within a flipping week. Too unrealistic for a fact.
"Lockett!" a voice blares outside my door, alarming me by my mother's sudden tone.
"Yeah?!" I yell back, too lazy to leave the bed.
"The internet is back!"
A huge smile etches on my lips as I quickly put my phone right in front of my face. My super ready fingers about to fire the Boopie app.
"Fuck yes!" I yell-whisper, excitement taking over me at this point. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the Wi-Fi came back. Okay . . . it's only for a week. Not as bad as you think about it, but fuck, I cannot live without the internet. It's my source of living, like . . . literally. These past few days were a massive hell for me. I barely did anything other than eat, drink, sleep, poop, and pee. That's how my whole week ran.
I let my fingers take me to Boopie app, and as soon as I see the two words, 'start chat' etched on the screen, I begin to type.
I scrunch my nose at his dry response. He doesn't seem happy I'm here.
I nearly choke on my own breath as I sit up. The fuck?

My phone slips out of my grasp as my mouth went agape. My heart rate increasing rapidly as it's almost about to burst out of my chest. If this is some sick joke, I will totally slaughter this asshole. He can't just say that and make me feel like this without sticking to his word.
A hard lump forms in my throat and my hand begins to tremble, making it hard for me to type properly.
