《Insanity》Chapter 32.

I nervously lifted my hand up and knocked on the wooden door with full hesitation. My heart jumped as soon as it slowly swung open to reveal my mom fuming.
"Get in." She firmly tells me.
"Okay." I mumble as I promptly stepped inside before closing the door behind me.
"Where were you?" She asks me in a stern voice as she quietly sat down on the couch.
"School." I lied.
"Don't lie to me, Brae." Fuck.
"I-I was with a friend. We hung out and stuff after school." I stammered while nervously fiddling with my
fingers. I feel so guilty already. I've been lying to mom constantly and that's not me at all. What's happening to me? Is this all because of Harry? Well, probably. I should just stay away from him for my safety and for mom.
"With who?" She press in.
"Ha-harry." I lower my head in remorse as his name rolled out of my tongue in a strange way.
"What?!" She snaps, standing up. "He is only bringing you in danger, don't you see?!"
"I see..." I truthfully reply. I knew from the very start that he was no good for me to be my friend, but something in him intrigues me and makes me want to know him deeply. He is one of a kind and somewhat unique in my eyes, and somehow I couldn't let him slip out of my fingers that easily.
"Then stay away from him. From now on, you will be avoiding and ignoring him, is that understood?" She sternly asks.
"Yes mom..." I mumbled.
A heavy sigh escaped between her lips as she slowly approaches me. "This is for your own good, Brae. I don't want you to be with a wrong person and most importantly, I don't want you coming home so late. There was another news yesterday about the murderer. He overall killed 5 people already. Please listen to me..."
I never thought the murderer could be this worse. "You're right mom. I will try my best to come home early and... Avoid Harry." God, please help me with this.

"Here's your book, Brae." Luke says, handing me the book.
"Hmm." I hum as I took it out of his hand and placed it inside my bag. He usually borrow books from me since he's too lazy to bring his own or get them from his locker. Apparently. he hasn't opened his locker for ages. It's quite crazy to be honest. Nonetheless, I'm surprised that he didn't lose my book this time or fail in giving it back to me. Good job, Luke. Hopefully, he'll continue which I doubt he will.
"So..." He trails off. "How's the guy?"
"What guy?" I am certain this is about Harry again. Can't I have a break.
"The Henry dude with loads of tattoos and shit."
I laughed. "You mean, Harry?"
"Oh yeah whatever." I'm aware that he doesn't care about him but Harry is such a simple name to memorize, in my opinion. Now I completely understand why he fails in almost all of his subjects.
"Well, he's not my concern so I don't know." I shrug, hoping he would just keep his mouth shut. I'm terribly trying to forget about Harry and he's not helping at all.
"Or really?" He raised at eyebrow at me.
"Wait, since when do you care about a guy?" I roll my eyes, attempting to change the topic.
"I don't fucking care about Harvey." He grumbles. I couldn't help but laugh when he got Harry's name wrong for the second time. This was utterly hilarious. "Oh god."
"I mean Harry." He quickly corrected.
"You're seriously not good at remembering." I state.
"I simply just don't care about him, is all." He shrugs. I roll my eyes at his statement. "Sure"
"By the way, I better get going." I add.
"Oh okay. See ya." He waves his hand.
"Bye." I say, before going to the other direction. Hopefully, no Harry will show up.
"Oh hey Brae."
I let out a squeal as I quickly turned to where the voice came from. Relief washed through me when I saw it was only Nicolas. "God you startled me." I breathed out, placing a hand on my chest.

"Sorry about that." He chuckles. He's actually being nice rightnow which is sorta odd.
"Nah it's fine. Well, I have to go so see you around." I tell him as I swiftly turned around and unexpectedly bumped into someone's hard chest, nearly knocking me down. I look up to meet a pair of green eyes which I honestly adore. What the hell am I saying.
"Ha-harry." I choked out, backing off. The close proximity was too uncomfortable for me to handle.
"Nice to see you too." He smirks. What the hell are you doing, Brae? RUN.
"Gotta go." I quickly say, as I walk past him but he caught my arm.
"Are you ignoring me?" He asks, rather amused.
"Let me go." I jerked my arm out of his grip and continued walking but this time, in a quick pace.
I let out a sigh of relief when I noticed no Harry was following behind me. Thank god. I smile to myself, knowing that I'm finally free. No more lies, no more trouble, no more fear and no more Ha-
"Why are you smiling?" A sudden voice startled me as I frantically glanced to where it came from. My face dropped as soon as I saw Harry beside me.
"Can't you fucking leave me alone." I snap, quickening my pace.
"Woah. What did I do?"
"My mom doesn't want you near me so fuck off."
"And you would actually listen to her?"
I abruptly stopped dead in my tracks and turned to face him. "She's my mom, Harry. Ofcourse I'd listen to her."
"But you're old enough already. You can make your own decisions, love. Don't spend your whole life with someone controlling it."
"My mom is right, Harry. I need to stay away from you and that's what I'm doing rightnow."
"And why?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Because... You're only bringing me in danger."
"Scratch that. I don't only bring you in danger and as a matter of fact, you're the one bringing yourself in that situation." He argues.
"Ugh! Just leave me alone." I pleaded, desperately and continued walking home.
Suddenly, I felt a hand grab my arm pulling me to look at him. "Ha-" I started but was cut off by Harry's lips slamming against mine. I was completely taken aback and was afraid to move but Harry pressed me closer into him which I thought was impossible already, and starts desperately moving his lips against my own. I had the urge to kiss back but luckily I stopped myself. Harry seemed to be frustrated by that as he bit my bottom lip, causing me to wince. "Move." He breathes out, his lips completely still against my mouth. Out of the blue, he grabs my ass. I gasp, causing me to part my lips. Harry didn't waste any time as he quickly slips his tongue into my mouth. I moan as I couldn't help myself from kissing him back. This honestly felt different from the previous kiss. This was more passionate and somehow mind blowing. I was overwhelmed with different emotions that I can't quite fathom. I was in midst of confusion but I couldn't care less. I smiled into the kiss as I felt something odd inside my stomach. It was a beautiful feeling, may I add. Perhaps, it was the butterflies, but I'm not in love. Definitely not with Harry... Or maybe I'm wrong. My hands roamed through his curly locks as I titled my head to the right a bit, deepening the kiss. He let out a throaty moan as our tongue battled for dominance. I don't want to sound cliché but to be honest with you, all I feel rightnow is love.
Sadly, we pulled away from eachother to catch our breaths. After a few minutes, we eventually calmed down.
"Do you still want to ignore me?" Harry asks, a smirk plastered across his face as he slowly wrapped his arms around my waist again.
"No." I responded, smiling like crazy. He grins and plants a lingering kiss beside my mouth. This day was absolutely amazing. I couldn't even care less about what my mom will think.
