The man walk into the office looking happy with the news he is about to tell his boss. The boss look up from the phone to see the errand man walking into the office with a envelope in hand.
" what do you have" the boss asked the man while pointing at the envelope.
"Boss, you won't believe what I found out" the errand man said.
" what is it, Don't play games with me." said the boss in a threatening way.
" here is the picture of the new wife . I found out that, Amir married this lady instead of this one here" he explained while pointing the pictures of which lady to which.
" why was their a change of bride? " the boss asked in wonder.
" The main bride ran away so the parents had to replace her with this one. My source told me all these " he explained
" but this isn't enough to distroy the family. I want something more valid. This is just nonsense, bring me something strong, something that will end them " the boss yelled at him and he quivered from the boss outbust.
" I'm sorry boss " he pleaded
" Don't tell me sorry, take this nonsense out of my face " the errand man quickly pack the pictures in the boss's front.
The boss look at the errand man sternly
" when next you comeback here with a information, make sure to bring something I'd be satisfied with. Tell whoever your source is, to search deeper. I want more, not this stupid thing here. That family must have a skeleton in their closet, make sure to search deeper. They aren't any saints" the boss said to the man in a firm voice and the man nodded that he understood.
" get out"
After the prayer, I folded the praying mat from the floor and kept it at the side. Ameera went to sit on the bed while picking on her nails. I noticed that she always does that whenever she's nervous.
I cleared my throat in other to gain her attention. She look up at me in a questioning way.
" OK, I'm sure you know that you're free to do whatever you want to do but please don't go through my stuff. We might be married but I still don't trust you" I know that was rude of me but I have to be self-conscious .
"You'd be sleeping in this room and I will take the guest room. If you need anything else don't hesitate to ask me" I left without even seeing her reaction but who cares. She brought all this to herself when she agreed to marry me.
I walked to the guest room with a sigh. I'm so tired right now. I match to the small walk-in closet in the room to pick my night wear. I want my room back already ,everything in the guest room is small but what Khalifa told me made me give her my room.

I don't even know why I even abide to his advice. Maybe because it has some truth in it.
Before Ameera was brought in ,Khalifa said somethings to me. He said...
" Amir, please try and make it easy for the poor girl. I know you Amir, I know that right now you're already planning something ugly for the poor girl. Even if you don't trust her at least try to give her a chance to prove herself . "
" she might be as your mom known her to be. Maybe she only went along with the marriage to help the family out as your mom had said. Just please, take it easy with her"
" and if you notice that she is as bad as you have speculated then you are free to expose her. But for now try to know and understand her" Khalifa said before he left the house.
He was right though, I think I should give her a chance to prove herself but still yet I don't trust her. I just have this sinking feeling in me that she is keeping something from us. I'd still find out.
I wore my my night wear and walk to the queen size bed to lay on it. I was facing the ceiling while thinking of so many senerios.
Just forget it Amir, let her be... Scolded my subconscious.
I decided to sleep but heard the buzz of my phone. I took it to see the message.
Congratulation on your wedding.
From samira.
Samira?
How did she even get my number? , I changed my number before coming back to Nigeria. Who could have given her my new number?
She better not do something foolish cos I'd hunt her down. I don't even know why she had to follow me back to Nigeria. I already made it clear that we are done. But she never listen.
I decide to just forget everything for now so I recited my sleeping prayers and finally slept off.

I was woken up by a loud knock at the door. I lazily get up from bed and slowly walk to the door. I opened the door and Amir was standing outside.
" I came to wake you up so you can pray, it's time for fajr prayer " he said and I nodded at him. He left after saying what brought him.
I close the door and walk back to the bed to sleep. I'm on my period so I won't be able to pray.
I woke up three hours later. It is already 8:00am. I walked to the bathroom and did my business. Few minutes later I came out to dress.Amir said the room is mine so that mean I'm free to do anything in it without any disturbance.
I wore a simple blue jallabiya designed with pink embroidery. I walked to my boxes to start putting my things in the appropriate place. I arranged my clothes in the walked in closet. I'm seriously amazed with the amout of clothes Amir' parent put in the boxes, it's so much.

When I was done with everything, I decided to have breakfast. I walked out of my room to the kitchen which is just around the corner of the sitting room. I open the fridge to see what food Amir was talking about yesterday.
The house is so quiet, maybe Amir went out. I decided to have some tea and toast bread. In the process of eating I heard the shuttle of keys like someone is opening the door. When the door opened, Amir came in with a polythene bag in his hand. He walked straight to the dinning table which I was eating. I stood to greet him
" Good morning " I greeted and he nodded his head. He stretched his hand to hand over the polythene bag to me.
" here, it contains some snacks. It's yours" I collect it from his hand.
" Thanks " I said with a smile and he nodded and turn to leave for his room.
" Have you eaten or should I make some tea for you with a toast bread " I nervously asked while he turn to shake his head.
" Don't worry. You don't need to bother, I already had something when I went out" those grey eyes
" I'm so sorry I overslept, I should have wake up early to prepare something for you"
"Ameera, I said it's OK. You don't need to be so worked up about it. I didn't want to disturb you. " I love the way his grey eyes twinkled
" but still"
" don't worry " he said with a small smile. So he smiles.
" Thanks again for the snacks, you shouldn't have bother" I shyly said while he nodded his head.
" before I forget, my younger sister and friend are coming over to greet you. "
" OK I'd be expecting " I answered. He nodded and turn to leave.
I kept the polythene bag on the dinning table and continue eating my toast bread and tea. Few minutes later, I was done eating . I took my plates and the snacks to the kitchen. I washed the dirty plates and arrange them properly. When I was done doing the dishes, I went to the sitting room to watch telly.
I was interrupted by two different voices. The two owner of the voice salaamed and I answered their greetings. Two familiar faces came in with a big smile on their face.
I have seen those faces before, but where?
I remember the female as sadiya, Amir's sister and the other might be the friend Amir was talking about.
" sister Ameera how are you doing " sadiya came forward to hug me.
" I'm fine " I answered with a smile.
" hope yahya is treating you right" she wiggled her eyebrows and I shyly smiled at her.
" aww, she's blushing "
" let her be, sadie" Amir's friend interfere in a friendly way.
" Can't you see that she is all red now" he jokingly scolded sadiya while she rolled her eyes at him. She muttered something along the line like " jerk".
They really look cute together or are they dating.....i thought.
" let me bring some refreshments for you" I stood up as I said this.
I went to the kitchen to get some refreshment for them .
" haba Our wife ,you shouldn't have bother. Where is even that husband of yours" he jokingly said while I smile.
" he is inside. Let me call him for you" I went in to call Amir.
When I got to Amir's room I raise my hand to knock but stop cos of what I heard from inside his room.
"just leave me alone Samira, I'm now a married man. "
" I have told you countless time that you brought all this to yourself . Why didn't you think of that before running off to sleep with another man. Just let me be, Period" Amir angrily shouted at the other person at the other side of the phone .
Who could this samira be to him, is she Amir's ex girlfriend ?...... I thought
When I heard some silent, I raised my hands to knock at the door but the door flew open before I could by an angry Amir.
" erm erm, I was just erm" I stuttered.
" what do you want Ameera, or where you eavesdropping on my conversation " he asked in a stern voice which I quickly shake my head.
" No, I swear I just came here to call you. Your friend and sister are already here"
" so, what you're trying to say is that you didn't hear anything " he folded his hands as if expecting me to lie.
" No, I didn't come here to eavesdrop , I just came to call you out and it so happened that you were on the phone with who knows. I only heard your last sentence " I explained while he stood there contemplating whether to believe me or not.
" Tell them I'll be out in a minutes" after saying this, he closed his door at my face. How rude of him.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

Moonshot
Gregarious businessman Evin Tumble is fascinated by the sudden and inexplicable appearance of a low-orbiting moon. Specifically, he's interested in shooting it down with a giant cannon. The moon is only about eight miles overhead, but it's high enough and quick enough that nobody can reach it by balloon or airship. He hires our protagonists: taciturn Iseult Morrin, cheerful Sean Whelan, and nervous Íde Ceallaigh, to help him with his obsession. As our heroes are dispersed across the continent to perform tasks for Tumble, and the moon-hunt draws closer, they become increasingly suspicious of their benefactor's motives and true nature. Moonshot is a story centred around struggling with confidence, the difficulty of being an immigrant, and the duality of truth, all clad in the trappings of an urban fantasy. It is character-driven, from the heart, and based on tropes and ideas that are missing from a lot of contemporary fantasy (a push beyond the flawless-yet-somehow-still-needs-rescuing-by-an-oafish-man heroine trope, a touch of cosmic magic based on the shared geometries of Celtic and Arab art).
