The sound of a loud growl was heard, looking around to catch sight of the Alpha. But I didn't seen anything, cold air brushed past me. My eyes fell on Argent's gun that fell to the floor, soon his body fell unconscious next to his gun causing me to gasp. I hissed when Allison screamed loudly, as soon as seeing her father's body hit the ground.
Her body flew backwards, knocking the bow out of her hand across the yard.
"Come on." Kate's voice was heard, as she continued to move her gun around, looking for the alpha. She fired her gun into the dark. "Come on!" She exclaimed.
I gasped when Peter ended up right beside her, grabbing her wrist as the gun continued to fire continuously until he twisted her arm, breaking it making me gasp and hiss at the action. Pulling the weapon from her hand and lifting her feet from the ground as he dragged her into the house.
"No!" Allison exclaimed, running into the house after them.
"Allison!" I called, running towards the house after her but as soon as I went to enter the house, the window was heard shattering as Scott's body came flying out. "Scott!" I shouted as his body hit the ground.
I went to head towards him but my head felt as if it had become light and my vision blurred around me. I held onto the wall tightly, feeling my body weaken. Through my blurred vision I saw the alpha charging towards me but he was soon tackled by Scott who stood in front of me protectively.
All the growls and screams were fading away and echoing. The sound of a honk came echoing in my ears as I slowly collapsed onto the ground, resting my head against the wall. I gasped at the stinging pain in my neck, pressing my hand onto my neck, where Kate had injected.

I forced my eyes to look at the Alpha who was staring at Stiles and Jackson, Stiles threw something at the Alpha but he caught it easily, growling loudly at Stiles. Allison stood there, aiming her arrow at the alpha and soon shot the arrow at the glass causing Peter's body to light on fire, his screams came loudly, causing me to hold onto my sensitive ears tightly.
My vision was now blurring and clearing every two seconds. Stiles came rushing towards me with Jackson following close behind. "Layla? You okay?" Stiles asked worried, grabbing onto my arm.
"I-I" I tried forcing the words out. "I don't know what's happening to me." I forced out, my body fell into Stiles who quickly grabbed me.
"Shit!" Stiles exclaimed, holding my weak body tightly. "Hey. Hey. Try staying awake for me." I heard Stiles' words echoing in my ear.
"Is that a rash?" Jackson said, touching my neck carefully.
I hissed at the sudden pain. "Rash?" Stiles repeated. "Oh god. Please don't tell me that's contagious."
"Hey. You're going to be fine." Jackson reassured, sitting in front of me.
I nodded weakly but soon my eyes fell onto Derek who crouched down in front of Peter, as Scott ran towards him. "Wait!" He shouted. "You said the cure comes from the one who bit you. Derek." Derek looked hesitant while staring down at Peter. "If you do this, I'm dead. Her father, her family, what am I supposed to do?" Scott carried on saying as Derek remained with a completely blank expression.
I soft gasp escaped my throat when I saw his claw raise in the air. "Wait! No! No! Don't!" Scott warned. But Derek completely ignored his order and slashed Peter's throat.

He slowly stood up, turning around showing his red eyes. "I'm the Alpha now."
My continued to spin, my eyes rolled to the back of my head. "Layla! Layla!" Stiles' voice came echoing into my ear until darkness took over me completely.

I groaned in pain as my voice came out raspy, my eyes slowly fluttered open. My eyebrows scrunched up in confusion as I blinked away the blurriness from my eyes. "How do you feel?" I gasped, looking over to see Derek standing there with his arms crossed leaning against the doorframe of his bedroom.
"Horrible." My voice came out completely raspy as I answered him with honesty.
He sucked in a breath, coming to sit right beside me. "Let me see." He moved my hair back, looking at my neck. "It's gone." He revealed, making me touch my neck, not feeling the rough or painful feeling on my neck anymore.
Awkward silence fell over us. "Are you mad at me?" He broke the silence looked over at me.
I sucked in a breath, playing with my hands. "No." I responded, looking up at his forest green eyes. "But I am a little disappointed." I continued, as he looked down with a little frown playing on his lips.
"I-I'm-" I cut him off, smashed my lips onto his.
Feeling the butterfly feeling awaken as he wrapped his arms around me tightly, kissing back as passionately as I was. Derek climbed on top of me, causing me to lay back as he hovered over me. His lips slowly trailing away from my lips and onto my neck. I took in a deep breath, as I tugged at the bottom of his shirt.
He pulled away from me, staring into my eyes for a split second. "Are you sure?" He asked, unsure about what was about to happen.
I slowly nodded my head. "Yes." I breathed out, he backed up slipping his shirt off his body as he wrapped his arms around me smashing his lips back onto mine.

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus
