I huffed, pushing my hair into a pony tail before I continued to organize my bedroom. This was the only way I could distract myself from thinking about Derek and stressing but let's just say I thought it would help but it really isn't.
My attention was caught by something dropping, causing me to quickly spin around. "What are you doing here?" I asked, glaring at the man in the room.
"You should close your windows." Peter said, with a smirk on his face.
I glared deeply at him as he stepped closer to me, causing me to move back as I held a metal hanger up. "Get close to me and I swear to god I'll shove this so deep in your..." I trailed, trying to look for a word. "Backside and it'll end up coming out of your throat!" I threatened him. He stared at me with his eyebrows shot up in surprise before he bursted into laughter.
I clenched my jaw as he looked completely amused. "You're like a cute little kitty cat that has a personality of a lion." He stepped closer. I backed up until my back pressed up against the wall causing me to curse under my breath.
"Mm." He hummed, pinning me to the wall with his hand on either sides of my head. "What are you going to do little kitty?" I glared up at him.
"I swear to god if you don't back away this will be so deep into your lungs causing all the oxygen in you to run out and the only way you'll be able to breathe is by using an oxygen mask!" He leaned down making me hold in my breath and turn my head the other way.
"Your threats are very weak." His breath made contact with my skin.
"Let go of me!" I demanded, glaring at him.
"Derek is a lucky man. But you would have been even luckier if you were with me." I sucked in a breath, glaring up at him.
He's just trying to get under my skin. That's all. "I'd rather get pushed off a ledge of a high building and get run over by a huge truck then having someone burn me alive rather than being with you." I shot back, he smirked at me.
"Way too much sass. I wonder how Derek puts up with that."
"Leave us all alone. Including Derek, we don't want to be a part of your stupid pack." I argued, pushing myself further into the wall trying to get personal space. "Now why don't you run along and disappear in the pit of hell. I'm sure you'll find a sweet home in hell." I gave him a little fake smile.
His hand removed from the wall grabbing onto my chin. "You talk too much, maybe there is way to shut you up." My eyes widen when his lips pressed against mine.
I fought against his hold as he gripped onto me, his lips moving against mine making me want to scream. My knee lifted up and hit him straight where the sun don't shine causing him to pull away groaning in pain. I pushed him away from me making him tumble onto the floor.
"You creep!" I shouted, wiping my mouth. "Get out!" He stood up from the ground.
"No wonder Derek is addicted to those lips. Very soft and plumped," He clicked his tongue licking his lips. "The taste of cherry." I balled my fist glaring at him.

I wiped my lips in disgust. "Get out!" I shouted, pointing at the window.
He smirked at me. "Regrets will be made." He winked, before jumping out of the window.
I stormed towards the window, slamming it shut and locking it. "God." I slapped my forehead. I stalked into the bathroom, turning on the water and washing my lips.
I walked into Scott's bedroom to see Scott searching his room. "What's going on?" I asked, gaining their attention as I shut the door behind me.
"Scott lost his phone." Stiles informed me, as I slumped beside him.
"Really? Again Scott?" I said in disbelief.
"I know. I know." He uttered, throwing the blanket and pillow all over the place. "Call it again." He told Stiles who looked tired.
He dials Scott's number once again as it rings we hear nothing. "It's not here." Stiles said, ending the phone call. "Okay, so you lost your phone. Why don't you just get a new one?"
"I can't afford a new one. And I can't do this alone." He informed Stiles. "We have to find Derek." I bit my lip at the name of Derek as Scott glanced over at me.
I pushed my hair away from my face. "Well, I'd do anything to find him." I said, counting myself in.
"Well, "A", you're not alone." Stiles started. "You have me and Layla." He motioned to the two of us. "And "B", didn't you say Derek walked into gunfire? He sounds pretty dead." My head snapped over, glaring at Stiles.
"Why are you always assuming that he's dead?" I raised an eyebrow at him, he shrugged innocently. I shook my head, throwing myself back as I lied on Scott's bed.
I rubbed my temple. "Argent's plan was to use him to get to the Alpha..." I shot up, sitting up as I stared at Scott with a raised brow. "They're not gonna kill him." He reassured, making me exhale deeply.
"All right, so then just let them do what they're planning, you know? They use Derek to get Peter - problem solved" My head snapped over glaring at Stiles.
"Stiles." I warned, causing him to sigh at me.
"Not if Peter's going after Allison to find Derek! I can't protect her on my own." He had a pleading look on his face. "Which means we either find Derek first - just - just help me!" I stood up as Stiles followed my action as the two of us started searching with Scott.
I headed into his closet, moving his clothes around trying to find the phone but sadly it wasn't there either. Scott angrily threw his clothes everywhere in desperate need to find his phone.
"You know, you probably lost it when you two were fighting." Stiles stated. "You remember that, when he was trying to kill you, after you interrupted him trying to kill Jackson? Are you starting to see a pattern of violent behavior here?" I pinched the bridge of my nose, starting to get annoyed.
"We're not going to leave my mate for death." I shot back, glaring at Stiles, who looked highly disappointed in me.
"He wasn't going to kill anyone. And I'm not letting him die." Scott added, my eyes traveled over to him as a smile came across my face.
"Could you at least think about letting him die? For me?" Stiles asked pleadingly, making me roll my eyes but my eyes fell on Scott who was burning holes in my neck.

"What?" I asked, touching my neck but soon froze at the feeling of my mate mark.
Scott stepped forward grabbing my wrist, pulling it away from the mark and inspecting it. Stiles stepped forward looking at it with a scrunched up face. "D.H?" Stiles said, tilting his head.
Scott sighed at me. "He marked you?" He asked, nodding my head in response.
Scott slowly nodded, stepping back as he sat on the chair. "You're mad." I pointed out as he looked up at me.
He shook his head. "You're mates. I have to accept it." He struggled out, as my lips latched onto my teeth.
Stiles groaned. "So you're accepting him in the family? You two sure will have a great brother-in-law bound." Stiles responded sarcastically. I huffed patting Stiles' shoulder.
"Peter was in my room." I informed them, crossing my arms.
Scott's head snapped up. "Did he hurt you?" He asked worriedly.
I sucked in a breath. "He kissed me..." I trailed, suddenly cringing at the thought of it.
"Creep." Stiles forced out with a squeaky voice. "Was it magical?" He asked sarcastically, causing me to slap the back of his head.
"I'm gonna kill him. I'm gonna kill him." Scott repeated, growing angry.
"There is no need I cause him sever pain at a special place." I reassured. Stiles hissed at the thought as he looked down at his.
"Remind me not to mess with you." He commented. I couldn't help but chuckle at his comment.
I walked to the window and froze, when I saw my mom's car pull up in the driveway. "Mom's back!" I called out, causing Scott and Stiles to come over and look out the window with me.
Scott sighed from beside me. "Is she okay?" Scott and I both shook our heads. "What's she doing?" Stiles proceeded to ask.
"Crying." Scott responded sadly, making me back away from the window and sigh as I slumped on the bed.
"Poor mom." I muttered, staring down at my interlocked hands, Scott walked over slumping down beside me. I placed my hand on his shoulder, squeezing it comfortingly.
"Scott, you can't protect everyone." Stiles told him, Scott looked up at him.
"I have to." He muttered, looking down once again as I sighed at his expression.
I gasped when a pain shot through my side catching their attention. My hand instantly came in contact with my side. "Layla? Are you alright?" Stiles asked worriedly.
I froze in my spot. "Derek's in danger." I breathed out, looking over at Scott who stared back at me worriedly.
The three of us were at the cafeteria of school. My eyes instantly fell on Jake coming our way making me sigh deeply, knowing what was coming.
"Layla." He greeted, making me glare at him. He shuffled around awkwardly as I continued to glare at him not saying a word.
Scott nudged me. "Jake." I forced out, picking at my food without looking at him.
"I was wondering if you want to go as my date to the dance." He questioned. I raised an eyebrow, looking up at him once again.
I went to decline when Scott spoke up. "She would love to." My eyes widen as my head snapped towards his direction.
"Oh god..." Stiles trailed.
I kicked Scott under the table. "Great. I'll pick you up at eight." He informed me, walking away.
"I'm going to kill you. I'm actually going to kill you." I mumbled under my breath as I stabbed my fork into my food. "What the hell is wrong with you!? You know he's my stalker!" I exclaimed, as Scott rolled his eyes at me.
"You needed a date anyways." Scott shrugged.
I groaned. "I wasn't gonna go to that stupid dance anyways!" I slapped my hand on the table.
Scott smirked at me. "Have fun."
I turned my head slowly to his direction with a glare. "You're definitely Derek's mate." Stiles mumbled.
I huffed, looking through dresses as Lydia stood beside me. "I think this dance tonight is so stupid." I told her, looking at all the short dresses, I was going through.
She huffed at me. "Why are you two grumpy?" She questioned, causing Allison and I to both look at each other.
Derek. That's the first thing that ran through my mind. "I never liked formals and whatever." I muttered. Allison nodded her head in agreement.
"You two could smile, at least." Lydia said, making me sigh at her comment. "Ever heard of the saying, "Never frown. Someone could be falling in love with your smile"? Smile, especially you Allison. I'm buying you a dress." I rolled my eyes, moving away from that dress racket.
"Have to admit as far as apologies go, that's more than I expected."
"Excellent." Lydia uttered proudly.
"But not as much as I'm going to ask." Lydia and I both looked over at Allison confused.
"What?" Lydia questioned. "What's that supposed to mean?" She further pressed.
"It means you're going to cancel on whatever dumb, roided-up jock you said yes to and you're going to go with someone else." Allison proceeded to say.
"Who?" Lydia asked.
"Him," Allison pointed over, my head turned to see her pointing at Stiles who was holding a cologne bottle and accidentally sprayed himself causing him to sneeze.
How happy I am to see Stiles right now. I smirked over at Lydia, knowing it would be a dream come true if Lydia asks him out.
Lydia looked completely dumbstruck by this. "Don't frown, Lydia. Someone could be falling in love with your smile." Allison used Lydia's line on her.
I looked over at Stiles who was waving at us before sneezing again. I couldn't help but smile over at him.
Allison and I walked away from Lydia as Stiles and her were going through some dressed. "So...you're going with Jake." Allison started a conversation.
I huffed. "Yep." I said unhappily. "Scott made it happen before I could decline." I scoffed, wanting to punch my brother in the face.
Allison chuckled. "Let me guess you're in love with someone." I froze, looking over at her sending her a smile.
"Mhm." I hummed my response.
"Aw! Who is he?" She asked looking interested.
I smiled at the thought of Derek coming into my mind. "The only hint I'll give you is that he's not in our school." I gave her a little hint causing her to laugh.
"You are so secretive." I winked at her, giving her a little chuckle. "Come on, give me another hint." She continued to push.
I froze, thinking of something to say until one thing stumbled into my mind. "H-He's Stiles' cousin." I put my lips in a thin line mentally slapping myself.
"Really? That's cute." She commented.
I chuckled nodding my head. "How does this look?" Allison asked finally changing the subject, showing me a dress making me tilt my head and scan it.
"I don't really like it." I admitted, but our attention was soon caught my a male voice.
"That's not your color." My head snapped up to see Peter peering over the racks. "Sorry if that was intrusive, but - considering your skin tone, I'd go lighter." He continued to comment, glancing over at me with a smirk.
"Because I'm pale?" Allison asked, as I continued to glare at Peter who held an amuse look.
"Fair." Peter corrected. "I mean, you can't call skin like yours pale. Not skin that perfect." I glared at the creep in front of us as Allison shuffled uncomfortable.
"Okay." She responded awkwardly.
"Trust me, I - I have a unique perspective on the subject. Do you mind?" Before Allison could move her hand he latched onto it and held it up to a fabric. "See? Much better." He motioned to the light colored dress. He stepped closer to us causing us to back away. "High school dance?" He asked, causing chills down my body.
"Formal." Allison forced out.
"Attention shoppers. To the owner of a blue Mazda, license plate –" The announcers voice came through the speaker.
Allison looked over at me. "Did she just say a blue Mazda?" She asked. I nodded my head in response.
"- 5768. Your car is being towed –"
"Oh! That's my car!" She quickly rushed away, leaving me alone with Peter.
My eyes traveled over to him. "Aren't you just an amazing fashion designer?" I said, my voice filled with sarcasm.
He smirked at me, pulling a dress from the rack. "Beautiful." He placed the dress into my hand without taking his eyes off me.
I glared at him deeply. "You can't play these games forever, peter." I spat out, walking closer to him.
"These games would all end if you just joined the pack." I chuckled at him as my jaw clenched.
"Burn me alive and I'll still say no." I shot back, storming away from him.
I entered the house to see my mom walking down the stairs. I smiled at her, shutting the door behind me. "Welcome back." She greeted, looking down at the bag in my hand.
"Bought my dress." I held up the bag, as she smiled at me.
"I want to see, come on let's go to the living room." I nodded, following her into the living room.
I handed her the bag as she opened it up, pulling the dress Peter had given me out. "It's beautiful." She gasped, scanning the dress. I smiled at her. "I can't wait to see this on you. Prepare for all the pictures." She winked, causing me to groan.
"I kind of don't want to go." I said, slumping down on the chair beside her.
"Why? Did the guy you like not ask you out?" She asked, looking at me with a sad smile.
I shook my head. "No. It's this other guy, he's always been chasing me and annoying me." I huffed, looking down at the ground.
"Oh." She pulled me into a tight hug, pressing a kiss to my head. "He'll come around." She promised, making me sigh knowing we had to get to Derek before it was too late.
I pulled away from her. "I'll put this upstairs." I sent her a small smile, standing up and picking up my bag once again. "I'll be down in a few." I told her, walking towards the stairs and climbing them.
I barged into the room, throwing the bag onto the bed as I shut the door behind me. I pulled my phone out of my purse, opening the message box to see no message from Derek but what caused me to freeze was the seen at the bottom of the message.
I scrunched my brows as I looked down at it, for sure it wasn't Derek who opened these messages. It had to be the Argents.
