My eyes stayed glued to the window as the three of us were parked in Stiles' jeep waiting outside of the hospital. I looked over at the time on Stiles' radio and winced at how late it was. He was going to miss his game.
My eyes stayed glued to the window as Stiles continued to drive the three of us to the hospital. I sucked in a breath looking over at the time on Stiles' radio to see what time it was and winced when I noticed Stiles was going to miss his game.
My eyes traveled to Stiles who was on the phone with Scott. "Yeah, I did and it looks just like the drawing." He responded. My eyes widen when Derek reached over snatching the phone from Stiles' hand and placed it on his ear.
"Hey, is there something on the back of it? There's gotta be something. An inscription, an opening, something." Derek asked, I couldn't help but put my ear against the phone to hear what Scott's response was.
"No, no, the thing's flat. And, no, it doesn't open. There's nothing in it, on it, around it, nothing." He responded, Derek sighed giving the phone back to Stiles.
I pushed myself back to the seat as Stiles parked the jeep. "I know. Look, if you see my dad, can you tell him...tell him I'll be there, I'll just be a little bit late, okay? All right, thanks." With that being said he hung up the phone.
I opened my mouth to say something but Derek beat me to it. "You're not gonna make it." My eyes widen at his negative comment.
Derek looked over at me to see my disappointed look. "I know." Stiles replied, his voice filled with sadness.
"And you didn't tell him about his mom, either." Derek continued to point out, making me shoot him another glare.
"Not till we find the truth." Stiles proceeded to say.
I clapped my hands together. "You know what?" The two of them looked at me. "The quicker we find the truth, the quicker we'll get to Stiles' game. Now let's go." I uttered, not wanting to feel a depressing moment.
Stiles nodded preparing to leave the car. "By the way, one more thing." Stiles and I looked at Derek confused.
"Yeah?" Stiles asked, before I flinched back when Derek slammed Stiles' head against the steering wheel.
"Derek! My god..." I gasped out, cupping my mouth in shock.
"Oh, god! What the hell was-"
"You know what that was for." Derek shot back angrily. "Go! Go!" He motioned for him to get out.
Stiles held his head slipping out of the car. I went to follow him but Derek grabbed my arm. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked, with a raised brow.

I forcefully swallowed my spit down my throat as the electric shocks ran through my bones. "I can't let him go by himself." I responded, he looked at me, shaking his head.
"No." I put my hand on top of the one that was holding my arm. "Stiles can't just go out there alone." I rubbed my thumb over his knuckles. "Please, I promise I'll be fine." He sighed letting of my wrist before he placed his lips over mine.
I was shocked at first but soon kissed back before pulling away and smiling at him. "I should go." I slipped out of the car, heading towards Stiles, feeling Derek's eyes on me from the car as we both entered the hospital.
Immediately when we entered the hospital I got a weird vibe, the sounds of our shoes hitting the floor was the only sound coming from the building which made me alerted as to why it was so empty and quiet.
"Something doesn't feel right." I whispered, scanning the place.
Stiles furrowed his brows. "Where is everyone?" He whispered back, as we looked around the area.
We came to a stop when we finally searched the whole area. "Call Derek, she's not here and this feels sketchy." I admitted, looking behind us, feeling as if someone was watching over us.
I shivered when flashbacks of the night were trapped in school came rushing back in my mind. Stiles sighed pulling his phone out as we continued to pace down the corridors. "We can't find her." Stiles said, as we continued to speed walk down the corridors, with the sounds of our shoes filling the quiet area. Stiles looked irritated. "Yeah, well, he's not here either." He continued to respond to the questions. "He's not here, He's gone, Derek."
I caught a shadow in the corner of my eyes, making stop which caused Stiles to stop and look at me confused. "Stiles, you and Layla need to get out of there, he's the Alpha!" My heart stopped when I turned around to see him.
"What the-" I cut myself off staring at the person in front of me with wide eyes.
"Well...Well...Well..." He walked closer and closer causing us to back up. "What do we have here?" The smirk on his face caused me to glare deeply at him. "You're beautiful." Stiles looked weird out by the comment.
"Thanks. I usually don't get that." Stiles replied sarcastically, causing Peter Hale to turn his gaze to him and flash him a glare.
"You must be Stiles?" He snarls, causing Stiles and I to both share a look. He turned his gaze back to me. "I bet Derek doesn't tell you how beautiful you are, Layla." He winked at me causing me to feel grossed out. "Beautiful name as well but those gorgeous looks will not stop me from killing you." He rushed towards me grabbing me by the neck pushing me against the wall.

"Shit!" Stiles cursed.
I clutched onto Peter's wrist, feeling the air get cut out of my lungs. "What are you doing here? Visiting hours are over." My eyes fell on Jennifer who was standing on the other side of the corridor.
"You...and him. You're....you're the one who...Oh, my...and he's...Oh, my God, We're gonna die." Stiles freaked out as I looked over at him under the chock hold Peter had me in.
"Stil-Stiles!" I forced out under the tight man's grip. "Run!" I forced out, feeling him tighten his grip.
"The tighter the better huh?" I groaned, placing my hand tightly against his wrist causing him to hiss before throw me across the room as he waved his hand around from the burning sensation I gave him.
I coughed holding onto my neck as Stiles ran towards me. "Shit! You okay?" He rubbed my back as I continued to cough.
My watery eyes caught Jennifer who landed on the floor, looking behind her fallen body to see Derek standing there. I sighed in relief, trying to hold myself from continuously coughing.
"That's not nice. She's my nurse." I glared up at the man in front of us.
"She's the psychotic bitch helping you kill people." He shot back, before he stalked towards his uncle. "Get out of the way." He ordered Stiles, causing Stiles to grab me and pull me behind a desk.
"Oh, damn." Stiles muttered.
"Met that princess of yours." He continued to say with a smug look on his face. "She seems to gorgeous for you after what happened to the last one I think you should leave her for someone that will not make her end up dead." I froze, furrowing my brows confused by his words.
My eyes landed on Derek who almost looked murderous as he launches himself at Peter, my eyes widen when Peter grabbed Derek by the jacket slamming him against the wall causing the cracks to appear in the wall before he slammed him into the opposite wall, my eyes widen cupping my mouth.
Stiles stood up grabbing my hand. "We gotta go." He tried forcing me up but I pulled my hand away.
"You go, I'm not leaving Derek this time." Stiles looked disappointed by my reply.
"Don't be stubborn let's go." He demanded, but I stood my ground.
"Stiles, please." He looked down at me sighing before he got up and left.
I stood up watching the two fight, my eyes widen at Peter dragging Derek by the neck towards Jennifer's body. "You think I killed Laura on purpose?" Peter pressed Derek's button. "One of my own family?" He let go of Derek causing him to lay his back against the tile floor, his eyes slowly caught my wide ones.
I hadn't realized I cupped my mouth until now. My eyes landed on Peter searching for something on Jennifer's unconscious body. I narrowed my brows when I caught the car keys in his hand.
"My mind, my personality were literally burned out of me. I was being driven by pure instinct." He continued saying as I inched closer, causing Derek to shake his head at me.
I flinched back when Derek launched up but soon was pushed down by Peter who placed his foot against his torso causing him to lay there with blood oozing from his lips.
Peter's eyes slowly fell to me. "A little birdy told me she's not only your mate but a part of our family." Derek's eyes fell on me as I stood there numbly. "Feeling Derek's pain must be unbearable." If looks could kill he'd be dead by now.
"What do you want from us?" I asked feeling the anger pulse through my skin, glaring at him inching closer.
He smirked at me. "What I want is for you two to be in my pack." His eyes slowly flashed red causing my eyes to flash.
I looked down, not wanting to meet his red eyes. "You want forgiveness?" Derek breathed out, causing my head to snap towards his direction.
"I want understanding." He responded back. "Do you have any idea... What it was like for me during those years? Slowly healing, cell by cell. Even more slowly coming back to consciousness. Yes, becoming an Alpha, taking that from Laura pushed me over a plateau in the healing process. I can't help that. I tried to tell you what was happening. I tried to warn you."
Derek got up and went to launch at him again but Peter easily threw him against the glass barrier, making the glasses shatter in pieces. I gasped, flinching backwards. "Derek!" I called out worriedly.
Peter smirked at me. "Don't worry, he's a big boy he can handle it."
