Waking up, feeling myself moving. The pain in my head continued to thump as my eyes fluttered open to be greeted by tiny lights on. Flashes of what happened before I blacked out came to my mind causing my eyes to shoot open.
My head turned over to see Jackson staring down at me. "Oh you're awake." He said, as soon as he saw me awake in his arms.
Black spots appeared on his face as my eyes rolled back and soon darkness took me away once again, with the memories of the alpha and I.
My back was pressed against something hard, brining my hand up to my head as I fluttered my eyes opened, blinking rapidly as I tried to clear the blurred vision. "Us? He's gonna kill us?" Lydia's voice soon was heard.
I sat up, looking over to see Allison, Lydia, and Jackson. My eyes grew wide at the sight of them, what the hell were they doing here? "Who? Who is it?" Allison questioned, I quickly looked over at Scott who didn't notice I was wide awake.
"It's Derek. Derek hale." I gasped causing Stiles to catch my wide eyes as he stared back at me in shock.
"Uh...Scott..." He trailed, causing Scott to look over at him. He pointed at me not saying a word, Scott looked over at me to see me fully awake but glaring at him.
He sighed in relief. "Thank god you're okay." He pulled me into a hug but I didn't bother hugging him back.
"Are you kidding me, Scott?" I whispered in his ear in disbelief.
This was not going to be good in the future I know that for sure. "Derek killed the janitor." Jackson asked, causing me to look at Scott with a look as he stared back at me with the look of 'help me'.
"Are you sure?" Allison asked, causing me to roll my eyes and sit quietly.
Stiles and I both shared a look. "I saw him." Scott replied, nodding his head. I couldn't help but chuckle sarcastically, hopping off the desk.
Instantly dizziness greeted me causing me to stumble back before grabbing the table gaining my consciousness. I huffed standing straight walking away from the rest as I leaned against the wall staring out the window.
"The mountain li-" Before Lydia could finish Scott cut her off.
"No." I heard Scott say. "Derek killed them."
"All of them?" Allison questioned.
I pushed my hair out of my face, feeling irritated from all the questions they are asking instead of figuring away to get out of here. "Starting with his own sister." Scott added on, causing me to instantly snap around and glare at him.
He caught my eyes causing me to clench my jaw and stare at him disappointedly, feeding them lies, I get it but crossing the line to the point where you lie and tell them that Derek killed his own sister is where I've had it up to there.
"And the bus driver?" Allison continued to question.
Scott stared at me hesitantly before he continued on. "And the guy in the video store." He added. "It's been Derek the whole time. He's in here with us. And if we don't get out now...He's going to kill us too." He informed them hesitantly.
After a few minutes of sending Scott glares and disappointed look, Stiles stood beside me as I leaned against the wall still wondering what the three of them were doing here.

I couldn't help but sigh when Jackson turned to Stiles knowing something was about to occur. "Call the cops." Jackson demanded.
"No." Stiles responded with attitude.
Jackson looked surprised by his response. "Wh- what do you mean 'no'?"
Stiles grew annoyed. "I mean no. You want to hear it in Spanish? Noh." Jackson looked as if he grew annoyed. "Look, Derek killed three people, okay?" Are they still on that topic of Derek killing people." It hurt me to think he's probably injured badly, obviously feeling his pain here and there.
I snapped out of my thoughts when Jackson pushed Stiles back causing me to step forward and grab Stiles' arm gently while glaring at Jackson. "Yes, we're at Beacon Hills high school. We're trapped, and we need you to - but –" She stopped for a second causing us to look at her confused. "She hung up on me." Scott and I shared a surprised look.
"The police hung up on you?" Allison asked surprised.
I felt Stiles relax next to me as we both shared a similar look. "She said they got a tip warning them that there are gonna be prank calls about a break - in at the high school. She said if I called again that they're gonna trace it and have me arrested."
"Okay then call again." Allison suggested.
"No, they won't trace a cell and they'll send a car to your house before they send anyone here." Stiles informed them.
Silence fell over us. "What the..." Allison paused dumbfounded. "What is this? Why does Derek want to kill us? Why's he killing everyone?" She bombarded with questions, causing everyone to turn to Scott for the answers.
I sucked my teeth watching silently. "Why's everyone looking at me?" Scott questioned, well he was the one that started this.
"Is he the one that sent her the text?" Lydia asked, pointing at Allison.
"No. I mean. I don't know."
"Is he the one that called the police?" Allison added a question this time.
"I don't know!" He exploded causing everyone to look taken back.
I pushed myself off the wall. "Okay." I cut in as Stiles and I walked closer to the group.
"All right." Stiles added in. "Why don't we ease back on the throttle here, yeah?"
I grabbed Scott dragging him into the kitchen with Stiles trailing behind us. "First off throwing Derek under the bus, nicely done." I clenched my fist, trying to control myself from slapping the back of his head.
Scott glanced at me with an apologetic look. "I didn't know what to say. I had to say something." I shook my head in response.
"No. All you had to say was I don't know." I cut in, staring at him with shame.
Scott sighed at me. "I mean why does it matter, he's dead." My heart stopped, staring at him with a look of shock. Stiles glanced at me hesitantly. "Except if he's not..." Scott's eyes widen in realization as I stared at him with a look. "Oh god, I totally bit her head off."
"And she'll totally get over it. Bigger issues at hand here, like how do we get out alive?" Stiles said, finally speaking the right words.
"But we are alive. It could've killed us already. It's like it's cornering us or something." Scott glanced at me. "Think about this it had every chance to kill Layla but it didn't." I froze remembering the words said.

I bit my lip leaning closer, looking over my shoulder making sure no one was around us. "it said it's going to have us in its pack soon." I whispered, causing Scott to look at me concerned. "And after that it knocked me out." Stiles looked down at my neck.
"Yeah and left you with that huge bruise on your neck." He pointed, causing my hand to come up to my neck as I leaned back.
"Not only does this thing want us in its pack but Derek said it wants revenge." Scott added.
Stiles looked confused. "Against who?"
"Allison's family?" I suggested causing the two to look at each other and share a look.
Stiles nodded. "Maybe that's what the text was about. Someone had to send it."
I furrowed my brows. "But there has to be a reason why it wants revenge. Maybe the Hale family wasn't the Argents only victims?" I whispered, causing the two to look as if they were thinking.
"Okay, assheads - new plan." Jackson's voice came through the kitchen causing me to flinch before turning around to see him. "Stiles calls his useless dad and tells him to send someone with a gun and decent aim. Are we good with that?" I sighed at him, no one speaks up to disagree to his plan.
I didn't bother replying not wanting to be sucked into drama. "He's right." Scott agreed. "Tell him the truth if you have to." Stiles looked surprised by Scott's agreement with Jackson. "Just. Just call him." Scott told him hesitantly.
"I'm not watching my dad get eaten alive." Stiles whispered to Scott.
I stepped hesitantly when Jackson stalks towards Stiles, "all right give me the phone." Jackson stated, turning him around roughly trying to grab Stiles' phone from his pocket. I gasped loudly when Stiles punched Jackson in the face sending him to the floor.
My hands shot up to my mouth staring in shock, what shocked me even more was instead of Lydia running up to make sure her boyfriend was okay it was Allison. "Jackson! Are you okay?" She asked worriedly, causing me to raise an eyebrow.
I glanced at Scott with a knowing look, as I walked past him and towards Stiles while Lydia ran towards Jackson to help. My eyes fell on Stiles shaking his hand before pulling his phone out and placing it to his ear.
I looked at the two girls kneeling down Jackson, before looking back over at Stiles when he began talking. "Dad, hey, it's me. And it's your voice mail. Look, I need you to call me back now. Like, right now-" A loud slam came against the door causing me to flinch back into Stiles. "We're at the school. Dad, we're at the school." Stiles said quicker this time.
Another slam against the door causing the chairs against the door to tumble down, I stood frozen watching the sight, flinching when Stiles grabbed my arm dragging me back with him.
The metal door almost looks as if it about to open and right then and there we knew we weren't safe at all. "The kitchen, the door out of the kitchen leads to the stairwell." Stiles reminded us.
Scott looked at him. "Which only goes up," He spoke up.
"Up is better than down here." I stated looking over at the door inches away from opening and the Alpha killing all of us.
Another loud slam caused all of us to quickly run into the kitchen, I quickly bursted the stairwell door open as we ran up the stairs. I ran towards the first door I saw but locked. "It's locked." I responded, as we continued to run up the stairs trying to find one that was open.
I slid down the wall, sitting on the ground as we all hid from the window that the Alpha could possibly see us in. I watched Scott lean towards the door but Stiles shot out and grabbed his arm but Scott continued to tilt his head as if he was trying to listen.
I slowly stood up pressing my back against the wall as we heard the door clatter. My eyes widen as a breath steams against the window. Everyone sighed in relief when it walked away from the classroom door, but for sure it wasn't gone.
"Jackson." Scott whispered, catching his attention. "How many people can fit in your car?" Scott asked.
"Originally five, if someone squeezes on someone's lap." He suggested.
"Five?" Allison spoke up. "I barely fit in the back." She specified.
Stiles sighed. "It doesn't matter." He cut in. "There's no getting out without drawing attention." My eyes landed on a steel door a few inches away from us.
I pushed myself off the wall causing everyone to look at me. "What about this?" I pointed, causing Scott to walk over next to me.
"This leads to the roof." Scott added. "We can go down the fire escape to the parking lot in, like, seconds."
Stiles pointed at the door. "That's a deadbolt." He clarified.
The janitor came to my mind. "The janitor has a key." I reminded them.
Stiles looked at me with a look. "You mean his body has it."
"Stiles." I snapped. He shrugged at me.
"Speaking the truth." He uttered under his breath.
I rolled my eyes, crossing my eyes turning back to Scott hoping he had a plan. "I can get it." Scott whispered, getting closer to Stiles and I. "I can find him by scent, by blood." My eyes grew wide at his stupid plan.
"No." I quickly said.
"Well, gee, that sounds like an incredibly terrible idea." I quickly nodded my head agreeing with Stiles. "What else you got?"
Scott turned to the others. "I'm getting the key." He informed them.
I stepped forward grabbing his arm, causing him to look down at me. "No you're not." I disagreed at this terrible idea. "I will not let you go out there." He sighed at me squeezing my hand that had grabbed onto his arm.
"Are you serious?" Allison stated in disbelief.
"Well, it's the best plan." I shook my head repeatedly. "Someone has to get the key if we wanna get out of here." He removed my hands from his arm, giving me a reassuring look.
"No. That is a stupid plan, we'll figure something else out." I cut in, not letting this happen.
"Look, we have to get out of here somehow."
"Then I'm coming with you." I snapped. He shook his head.
"I'm not risking it. Plus, it was my fault for dragging you into this mess." He whispered, making me glare up at him.
Allison stepped forward. "You can't go out there unarmed."
I watched Scott grab the teacher's pointer from the chalkboard, gripping it as if it was a baseball bat. I stared at him in disbelief "Well, it's better than nothing." He stated looking down at it.
"There's gotta be something else." Stiles cut in looking around the classroom.
"There is." Lydia said nodding towards the chemical cabin.
Stiles looked at her dumbfounded. "What are we gonna do? Throw acid on him?"
"No." Lydia shook her head. "Like a fire bomb, in there is everything you need to make a self – igniting Molotov cocktail." She informed us, Stiles looked confused.
"Self- igniting-" He froze when he tried saying the other part.
Lydia grew annoyed. "Molotov cocktail." She finished for him. Everyone looked at her completely surprised. "What? I read it somewhere." Acting as if she wasn't smart.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her. "Well we don't have a key for that eith-" He was cut off when Jackson smashed the glass, causing me to pucker my bottom lip and shrug at Stiles who looked back at me.
"Scott. No." I continued to convince him to not go. While Lydia continued to make the bomb she was preparing for him.
"This is insane. You can't do this." Allison butted in.
"We can't just sit here, waiting for Stiles' dad to check on his messages." He snapped, disagreeing with the both of us.
Allison sighed angrily. "You could die." She reminded. "Don't you get that? He's killed three people." She continued to convince him but whatever me and Allison were doing wasn't going to work.
I swallowed roughly, watching Scott walk closer to the door. "And we're next. Somebody has to do something." He grabbed the chair that was preventing the door from opening.
I stepped forward to stop him but Allison beat me to it. "Stop just stop!" She snapped, causing him to freeze. She stared at him with the look of anger and fear. "Do you remember - do you remember when you told me you knew whether or lying? That I had a tell? Well, so do you." Scott looked taken back, I looked at her with wide eyes. "You're a horrible liar. And you've been lying all night." I closed my eyes tightly, turning my head the other way sighing. "Just - just please - please don't go. Please don't leave us. Please." She begged hopping it would stop him.
Scott moved the chair causing my heart to sink as Lydia handed him the bomb she had made. "Don't." I stepped forward.
"Lock it behind me." He said before stepping back causing me to rush towards the door but Stiles grabbed my arm while the others shut and locked the door
"Scott!" I shouted, fear instantly washed over me. "Stiles-" I turned around suddenly feeling pain in my chest the same place where Derek was injured at sinking to my knees as Stiles looked down at me worriedly.
I looked down to see red marks all over my body. "Hey! Hey. Layla? You okay?" Stiles' voice echoed as my vision blurred.
I fell forward, Stiles quickly grabbed me as my whole world spun and everywhere became black.
I felt something against my face, feeling cold suddenly as my eyes remained shut my brain had no energy to move my body. "She's barely breathing!" I heard someone shout as I felt a wind flow into my nose and fill up my lungs.
My eyes instantly shot open as I snapped up. "She's awake." I heard a female voice call out. "Honey are you okay?" I looked over to see a paramedic staring down at me worriedly.
I nodded looking confused, but then memories came to my mind. "Layla." I looked over to see Scott walking towards me in relief as he pulled me into a hug.
"You're okay." I breathed out, hugging him tightly.
Scott and I pulled away, my eyes traveled to Stiles who had been there for a while now with a smile and look of relief on his face. "You okay?" He asked.
I nodded my head. "Yeah." I whispered out, the feeling of my throat being itchy.
"She's free to go but she needs to be aware of that big bruise on her neck." The paramedic told Scott.
He nodded his head. "Thank you." He said, helping me out of the ambulance as he held me leading me towards Mr. Stilinski's car as he talked to other officers before looking over at me with a relieved smile.
I sent him a small smile back, before turning my head looking over at the spot Derek was supposed to be but he wasn't there.
Where had he gone? When he was completely injured? Was he okay?
Questions continued to swim around in my mind as we slipped into the car while my eyes slowly shut closed feeling completely weak.

Fear. Regret. Memories. They all flashed before my eyes as my life began to fade away. I felt a darkness encroach upon my heart followed by a sinister foreboding. Within that moment I was asked a single question by a powerful, mystical being. “Brave being, do you wish to accomplish a great deed in your life?” “No,” I refused, but the voice did not listen. It summoned me to its world only to try to have me slaughtered. But then, I was saved by him, the princess who disguised herself as a man. He was hellbent on revenge, and he was determined to drag me down with him. This story is meant to be a bit of a mix of genres and cultures, so there are some elements that may seem xianxia like, but it's not exactly the same so I didn't tag it. It also has multiple lead characters but is written in first person. Schedule: Dropped Normal Chapter Length: approximately 3000 words Warning: Tagged [15+] for Strong Language and Violence (Gore and Profanity aren't very prevalent, but I added the warning tags just in case).
