《Healing Hearts ❤ Derek Hale ✔ (Under construction)》(1x6) Heart monitor, Part 2 ✓

Placing my lipstick back into my makeup drawer before shutting it back up and walking out of the bathroom, I shut the door picking up my bag that was laying there on my bed. I was super tired, all thanks to that damn essay that kept me up at night.
Scott and Stiles had already gone to school so that means I have to walk to school and possibly be late. I literally give up on life, walking down the stairs heading towards the front door pulling it open, walking out before shutting it behind me and locking it up.
My mind was filled with the thoughts of Derek ever since yesterday. I can't stop thinking about him, walking down the sidewalk. A car drove by me but soon slowed down causing me to look up and see Jackson's car. He slowly stopped his car rolling his window down. "You need a ride?" He asked with a smile on his face.
I chuckled nodding my head. "It's really needed." I laughed, walking towards the passenger seat. I slipped inside and strapped my seatbelt. "Thank you for giving me the offer." I said, he smiled at me with a grin.
"I guess I'm your hero of the day." I suppressed a laugh, as he drove off. "So how is your essay?" He asked, causing me to groan at the thought of it.
"Well, I was up all night finishing it and now my head feels like someone has been beating my head with a hammer all day." I admitted, causing him to burst into laughter.
"Dear god. That sound like hell."
"It is." He chuckled, taking a turn into the school's parking lot. "Thank you for the ride." I said, unstrapping my seatbelt.
"No problem." I opened the passenger door, stepping out of his car and walking towards Stiles who I saw walking towards the school.
"Stiles." I greeted, causing him to flinch in fear.
"You scared the living crap out of me." He breathed out, causing me to laugh.
"How is your dad?" I couldn't help but ask him.
He sighed. "He's good." He answered. I frowned realizing he was probably still angry at Scott.
"Still giving Scott the silent treatment?" He nodded his head, swinging his arm over my shoulder. "Looks like I'm sitting with you today." I sighed, shaking my head with a smile playing on my lips. We walked toward my locker, I unlocked it taking out my books that were needed.
"Stiles," I began, shutting my locker door back up. "Why did you tell my mom that I was seeing someone?" I asked, giving him that look.
He swallowed roughly. "W-what?" He chuckled nervously. "I mean aren't you? Derek and you...ya know..." I glared at him, clutching my books tighter.
I stepped closer to him. "All thanks to you my mom gave me that talk." He bursted into laughter causing me to glare at him even more, he instantly went back to poker face.
He shrugged his shoulders. "Not funny." He straightened himself out. I shook my head walking away with him following hot on my trail. "Come on! She would've found out eventually." I shot him another looking causing him to click his tongue. "I'm sorry, alright?" I stared at Stiles who stared back at me with that smile he always does.
I couldn't help but smile at his smile. "I hate you." I muttered, pushing the classroom door open, we both stepped into class heading towards our seats.

"You love me." He muttered back, causing me to chuckle and look ahead of me.
My eyes landed on Scott who walked in the door, scanning the whole classroom before his eyes landed on me then Stiles who stared back at him before his head turned away from him, obviously showing him that he was still angry at him.
Scott walked over to us and sat behind us. "Still not talking to me?" Scott asked Stiles who ignored him. I kept myself quiet letting the two best friends try to sort their own problems out. "Okay, can you at least tell me if your dad is okay?" Stiles continued to remain quiet. "It's just a bruise, right? Soft tissue damage?" No response was heard. "You know I feel really bad for it."
Scott sighed when Stiles didn't say anything. "Okay. What if I told you that I'm trying to figure this whole thing out, and - That I went to Derek for help?" I continued to look ahead of me acting like I was listening to the teacher but really I was listening to my brother and best friend's conversation.
"If I was talking to you, I'd say that you're an idiot for trusting him. But obviously I'm not talking to you." Stiles finally spoke up, turning my head around taking notes as the two both fell silent.
Stiles continued to take notes but I knew he was dying on the inside and wanted to know. "What did he say?" Knew it, Stiles would never let juicy information go.
I walked out of class with Stiles right beside me while Scott trailed close behind us. "Wh- He wants you to tap into your animal side and get angry?" Stiles asked unbelievingly.
"Yeah," Scott said, like there was no danger in that.
I crossed my arms, remaining quiet listening to the two speak to each other. "All right, well, correct me if I'm wrong." Stiles started. "But every time you do that, you try to kill someone. And that someone's usually me." He remarked.
"I can't help but agree, Stiles is always your number one target." I observed, causing Scott to shoot me a look while Stiles smirked at me.
"She has seen it too." He pointed at me in relief.
Scott rolled his eyes at us. "I know." He admitted. "That's what he means when he says he doesn't know if he can't teach me." He informed him. "I have to be able to control it."
"Well, how's he gonna teach you to do that?" Stiles continued to question, like a detective.
Scott shrugged. "I don't know." He said truthfully. "I don't think he does either." I sucked in my cheeks together watching the two carefully.
"Okay. When are you seeing him again?"
"He told me not to talk about it. Just act normal and get through the day." Scott responded, the main question running through my mind is how will Derek teach Scott how to control? When he doesn't even know.
"When?" Stiles continued to push.
"He's picking me up at the animal clinic after work." Why does Scott sound like he's going on a date with Derek or something?
Stiles nodded his head, while pouting his lips out a bit. "After work." He repeated. "Alright, well, that gives me until the end of the school day." I furrowed my brows.
"To do what?" I asked before Scott, curious to know what Stiles is planning in that head of his.

He smirked at the both of us. "To teach him myself." My eyes widen, Stiles teaching Scott? That doesn't sound good at all. Stiles grabbed onto my arm. "And you are coming with us incase Scott goes crazy and tries to kill me." Of course Stiles would make me his personal bodyguard. "You're a pixie, you could use your powers to stop him." Scott and I both shared a look knowing this was not going to end well.
Oh god...I don't want to be involved in this...I really don't.
*******************
I slammed my locker door shut, after sticking my books in there. My phone vibrated as I walked towards the cafeteria, slowing down my pace and slipped my phone out of my back pocket. Looking down to see a message from Derek, stopping at my trail and clicked the message opened.
"Meet me outside the school's parking lot." I read the message, turning around and walking the opposite way from the cafeteria heading towards the school's exit. I pushed open the door exiting the school, making my way towards the handsome man leaning against the Camaro. "What are you doing here?" I asked as soon as I made it towards him.
He stared down at me with his forest green eyes, but something was different about them today. They looked bright compared to his dark emotionless eyes. "Wanted to check up on you." My eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"I'm fine..." I trailed, staring at him hesitantly. "Are you sure that's the only reason you came here?" I couldn't help but ask.
He looked taken off guard. "Yeah..." He replied, making me feel unsure about him coming here just for that.
I nodded my head slowly. "How are you?" I couldn't help but ask, he looked down at me with his forest green eyes.
He didn't respond, just continued to stare down at me making me furrow my brows. He pushed himself off his car slowly stepping towards me, causing me to watch him cautiously. "I can't do this to us." He muttered, cupping my cheeks before smashing his lips against mine.
My eyes widen at the sudden action, but soon forgot that I was in the school's parking lot and kissed back loving the feeling running through my body. I felt my lungs pound for oxygen, begging me to suck in a breath. The more I kissed back the more I didn't want to pull away but my lungs were being so selfish.
I couldn't help but pull away sucking in huge amount of air letting my lung be happy again, my heart continued to pound over and over again, our foreheads came to contact, both breathing in and out heavily. "I can't help but let this happen." He said, making my heart skip a beat.
A vibrating sound came from my pocket, causing me to close my eyes tightly. Stepping away from him, and slipping my phone out of my pocket. "Hello?" I answered the phone without looking at the caller ID.
"Where are you!?" Stiles' voice came shouting through my ears.
I awkwardly glanced at Derek who looked down at me with a look, clearing my throat looking at my shoes. "I needed to talk to a teacher. I'll be at the cafeteria in a few." I lied, glancing at Derek who leaned back against the car watching me silently.
Suddenly making me feel nervous and causing chills to run up my spine. "Be quick." Stiles said, with that being said he ended the phone call.
"I guess that's my queue." I stated, the corner of his lip twitched almost as if he was about to smile but his lips went back to normal.
He nodded. "I'll see you around." He muttered, turning around to enter his car.
"Derek," I started, he paused causing me to curse my mouth for saying his name since I had nothing to say to him. He turned around and faced me making my breath get caught up in my throat. "Drive carefully." I breathed out, his mouth twitched up.
"I will." He whispered with his deep husky voice before slipping into his car.
I exhaled shakily, watching Derek pull out of the parking lot and drive away. I put my lips in a line, turning around walking back inside, walking down the school's corridors and headed towards the cafeteria to see Stiles and Scott sitting at our usual table.
I didn't bother heading towards the long line to get food and just went straight towards the table. The two stopped talking and looked up at me. "Look who decided to finally show up." Stiles murmured, with narrowed eyes.
I rolled my eyes taking a seat beside him. "I had to talk to the teacher." Stiles furrowed his brows in confusion.
"About what?" He asked, catching me on the spot.
Freezing in my spot, as he stared at me suspiciously, both eyes were on me staring me down. "Um...It was about-" Think! Just think of something quick! "My essay!" I exclaimed, causing the two to both look at me weirdly. I cleared my throat. "Sorry. It was about my essay." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Where is your food?" Scott asked, causing me to look down at the empty table in front of me.
"Not hungry..." I trailed, both boys frowned at me.
Scott pushed his tray in front of me. "Here finish my French fries." I shook my head. "Please, for me." I sighed at his puppy eyes, and dragged the tray towards me. Always gets me.
I picked up a fry and started to take small bites of it, turning towards Stiles. "So did you come up with a plan?" I couldn't help but ask Stiles.
He glanced between Scott and I. "I think so."
Scott looked at him with hope filled eyes. "Does that mean you don't hate me now?" Scott asked, filled with anticipation.
"No. But your crap has infiltrated my life, so now I have to do something about it." He stated, glancing at me. "Plus I'm definitely a better Yoda than Derek." He specified, causing me to sigh and shake my head.
"Okay." Scott nodded his head. "Yeah, you teach me." He agreed, causing me to glance between them unsure about this.
If Derek thinks he can't teach Scott, then Stiles for sure will not know how to teach Scott to control. I don't think they know how dangerous this can be. "Yeah, I'll be your Yoda." Stiles snapped me back to reality.
"Yeah, you be my Yoda." I raised an eyebrow, resting my head against my palm.
"Oh god, not this again." I muttered, looking down at the table.
"Your Yoda I will be." Stiles looked at Scott with a smile. This is so annoying. "I said it backwards like-" Scott cut him off.
"I know."
I groaned in annoyance. "All right, you know what?" I looked over at Stiles with a cautious look "I definitely still hate you." Scott looked surprised, while me on the other hand knowing Stiles wouldn't let it go that easily. "Uh- huh. Oh, yeah." Can't take this anymore, I stood up from my spot without saying anything and walked away.
"Where are you going?" I heard Scott asked.
"Away from you two." I answered, without turning around as I walked out of the cafeteria.
I walked towards Scott and Stiles who were standing next to the bench at the field. "So what's the plan?" I asked, as soon as I made it towards them.
Stiles pulled out a black strap with numeral shown at its center. "Well...Starting off put this on." I looked at it confused as Scott took the device from him.
"Isn't this one of the heart rate monitors for the track team?" Scott asked before I could.
"Yeah, I borrowed it." He adjusted. Yep, he stole it.
"Stole it." Scott and I stated at the same time.
He glanced between us with a look. "Twins," He muttered. "Temporarily misappropriated." He continued on. "Coach uses it to monitor his heart rate with his phone while he jogs, and you're gonna wear it for the rest of the day." He informed Scott, showing a phone.
But not just any phone. "Isn't that coach's phone?" I quickly asked.
Stiles put his lips in a line. "That I stole." He admitted casually, causing my eyes to grow wide.
This guy is insane. "Stiles!" I called. "You have to put that back, before any of us get into trouble." He looked at me reassuringly.
"There is nothing to worry about. Plus, he won't find out." He reassured, causing me to give up on fighting with him.
"Why do you have it anyway?" Scott questioned.
"Alright, your heart rate goes up when you go wolf, right?" Scott nodded for him to go on. "When you're playing lacrosse, when you're with Allison, whenever you get angry." He listed, making me cross my arms. "Maybe learning to control it is tied to learning to control your heart rate."
"Like the incredible hulk." Scott stated, with a smile on his face.
Not this again, seriously can they stop comparing themselves to nonfictional characters. Wait...never mind I used to think werewolves were just a stupid made up fictional fantasies and now look where I ended up in? In a supernatural world. "Kind of like the incredible hulk, yeah." Stiles said, annoyed, which caused me to snap out of my thoughts.
"No, I'm like the incredible Hulk." Scott adjusted, causing me to roll my eyes. This is why sometimes I think Scott was adopted, because there is no way we could be related.
I scratched my forehead glaring at the two. "Would you just shut up and put the strap on?" I snapped at Scott. He sighed at me, finally putting the strap on.
I stood beside Stiles having mixed feeling about this as I watched Scott's hands to his back while Stiles continued to duct tape his wrists together. "This isn't exactly how I wanted to spend my free period." Scott muffled. Stiles didn't both to reply and walked away from Scott picking up the lacrosse stick.
"Ready?" Stiles asked.
"No." Scott admitted.
I sucked in a breath. "Just remember to not get angry." I informed him. "Hopefully I won't regret being a part of this." I muttered to myself.
Stiles dropped a handful of lacrosse balls at our feet. Scott stared at the balls cautiously and carefully. "I'm starting to think this is a really bad-" He cut himself off when Stiles threw a ball right at his left. "OW!" He exclaimed, causing Stiles to smile proudly at himself.
I watched him pick up another ball and throw it at Scott aiming it right at his shoulder. "This is going to be a very long day." I said, causing Stiles to look up at me with a smile, he continued to pick up another one and throw it at him.
"Okay, that one kind of hurt." He breathed out in pain.
"Quiet." Stiles began. "Remember, you're supposed to be thinking about your heart rate, alright." He reminded him. "About staying calm." He held up the phone that showed Scott's heart rate.
Scott nodded his head. "Stay calm. Stay calm." He continued to mutter to himself. "Staying totally calm. There's no balls flying to my face-" He cut himself off when a ball flew and hit his knee. I couldn't help but wince in pain for him. "Ah! Son of a bitch." Scott stumbles, nearly falling over as he tried balancing himself.
"Layla, want to give it a try? It's pretty fun." Stiles said, handing me the stick.
I glanced at the stick before looking over at Scott, who looked at me with hope filled eyes. I smirked taking the stick from him and picking up a ball before pulling the stick back and throwing the ball straight where the sun don't shine.
Stiles and I winced at the same time as Scott tumbled over holding his crouch. "Looks like I'm not going to have a niece or nephew soon." He looked up at me glaring as I sent him a sweet smile. "Hey! Remember to calm down." He stood off the ground, obviously recovered from what happened.
Stiles continued to throw balls at him. "You know what?" Stiles said, catching my attention. "I think my aim is actually improving." He stated, causing me to chuckle.
"I wonder why." Scott said, through his gritted teeth.
"Don't get angry!" Stiles and I both reminded him at the same time.
"I'm not getting angry." Scott shot back, with that another ball came flying towards Scott hitting him straight in the stomach. He gasps for air, as he tumbled to the floor, with that another one cam hitting him in the thigh.
"Scott?" I called out worriedly.
"Stop." Scott breathed out. "Just. Can we just hold-" He forced out, the phone in Stiles' hand started beeping faster, giving us a sign that this was a horrible plan.
I glanced at Stiles hesitantly but he didn't bother to stop and continued to throw the ball at Scott and ended up hitting him in the neck. "Stiles, I think we should stop..." I trailed, he sent me a look.
"He has to learn to control." We turned back and looked at Scott to see him stumbling then falling right onto his knees. Stiles stepped forward to throw another one but he paused when a sound escaped from Scott.
"I told you this was a bad idea!" I exclaimed, when Scott growled.
The sound of the beeping got worse and worse. I rushed over picking up the phone looking down at it, Stiles looked over my shoulder. We both shared the same look, staring at each other with wide eyes as we took in the number on the phone.
"Scott." I breathed out, turning my head to look at him.
