I climbed into Stiles' backseat of his jeep, actually more like struggling to get into the backseat of his jeep. "Stiles, you really need a new car." I stated, causing Stiles to freeze before turning to look at me with wide eyes.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Don't say that in front of my jeep. It has feelings too you know." I rolled my eyes, leaning back against the seat.
Scott took his time getting into the passenger seat. I hadn't talked to him all night after what happened between him and Derek, but I wasn't ignoring him. I wanted him to talk to me first but obviously he didn't want to talk to me. So I'm keeping my distance and keeping my mouth shut.
I woke up this morning to an empty side of the bed and I wasn't surprised to see Derek gone. I expected it. But earlier when I was getting ready for school my arm had this really bad stinging pain and I don't even know why. The ring Derek gave me flashed while my pixie instinct felt as if someone was in trouble. Soon that all faded for some reason but I could still feel as if someone is in trouble.
I snapped back into reality when Stiles pulled in to the school's parking lot. I sighed in relief climbing out of the car with the help of Scott. "Thanks." I flashed him a small smile.
I looked at the time on my phone sighing as I left Stiles and Scott behind clearly not wanting to be late to class, walking towards my locker taking my history book out and shutting it back up before walking into history class to see students already seated.
Making my way towards an empty seat and sat down, I placed my book onto the table, watching Scott and Stiles enter the room as Scott sat right behind me while Stiles sat right behind Scott.
The teacher soon entered the class and began today's lesson. "If Derek isn't the Alpha, if he's not the one who bit you, then who did?" I heard Stiles whisper. I continued to keep my eyes straight and not bothering to turn around.
"I don't know." I heard Scott reply.
I sucked in a breath, twirling my pencil in my hand as I stared down at the history book in front of me. "Did the Alpha kill the bus driver?" Stiles continued to question.
Scott sighed. "I don't know." He replied, growing annoyed.
"Does Allison's dad know about the Alpha?" Stiles continued to add on.
But this time Scott didn't answer to happily. "I don't know!" Scott snapped loudly, causing every classmate in the room to turn and look over at Scott. I glanced over my shoulder to see Scott creeps down in his seat.
I shook my head turning back to look in front of me. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." I commented, knowing Scott could hear me.
A paper fell right in front of me revealing a red A on the paper. I sucked in a breath, leaning my back against the seat and crossed my arms. "Psst!" I looked over to see Stiles. "What did you get?" He asked, showing his test to see he had gotten an A.
"A." I revealed, then we both turned to Scott and looked at his paper. "D." I said, staring down at the paper with a wince look.
"Dude you need to study more." Stiles said peering over Scott's shoulder while Scott on the other hand had put his head in his hands. "That was a joke. Scott, it's one test. You're gonna make it up." Stiles comforted. "Do you want help studying?" He asked being the good friend he is

Scott shook his head. "No. I'm studying with Allison after school today." He revealed, Stiles' face brightened up like a Christmas tree.
"That's my boy." Stiles said proudly.
I scrunched my face in disgust knowing what Stiles was thinking about. "We're just studying." Scott repeated not understanding what Stiles meant.
Stiles smirked at my expression as he continued on. "Uh, no, you're not." He stated.
Scott looked at Stiles confused still not understanding. "No, I'm not?" He repeated completely lost about this whole situation.
Clearly he didn't understand mature topic. "Not if I'm forced to live vicariously through you. If you go to her house today and squander that colossal opportunity, I swear to God I'll have you de - balled." What kind of conversation am I listening to?
Scott nodded his head. "Okay. Just - Stop with the questions, man." Scott said, having enough of Stiles' questions.
Stiles nodded in agreement. "Done. No more questions. No more talk about the Alpha or Derek." He accepted causing me to raise my brow. "Especially Derek..." He paused for a second looking down. "Who still scares me." I couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
I shook my head turning my attention back to class.
I clenched my teeth in pain leaning against the locker holding my arm tightly as pain shot up my arm. My head was pounding my eyes I knew damn well they were flashing. I took out my phone looking down at it gasping and hissing in pain but through my phone screen I could see my eyes flashing green. I almost screamed when the pain got worse but soon every pain in my arm faded.
I looked down at my ring that was flashing even brighter than before. My legs suddenly started to move where ever my pixie instinct wanted to take me. But soon I stopped right at the corridors hearing Jackson's voice. "Hmm. Okay, tough guy." I furrowed my brows keeping myself hidden in the shadows. "You know, how about I help you find him if you tell me what you're selling him? What is it? Is it, uh, Dianabol? Hmm? HGH?" Instantly I knew he was talking about Scott but who was he talking to? I couldn't really see who he was talking to but I could see him.
"Steroids." My legs almost gave out to the voice that was heard. Derek hale was in our school, but why was he here?
I stepped a little closer trying to see him but still only saw Jackson who looked annoyed. "No, girl scout cookies." Jackson responded sarcastically. "What the hell do you think I'm talking about? Oh, and, uh, by the way, whatever it is you're out selling, I'd probably stop sampling the merchandise. You look wrecked." I furrowed my brows, what did he mean Derek looked wrecked?
"I'll find him myself." Derek said giving up on Jackson.
I quickly stepped out from behind the shadows. "Derek?" I called out causing him to turn around and face me.
Instantly relief fell onto his face when he saw me. He stumbled towards me. "No, we're not done." Jackson argued but Derek ignored him as he stumbled over causing me to rush towards him and hold onto him keeping him steady when he almost fell.
I looked up at him worriedly, I gasped at his pale face and dark circles. "Derek." I touched his cheek softly causing him to flutter his eyes closed. "What happened?" I asked, worriedly he continued to breathe heavily.

He nuzzled his face into my neck causing me to furrow my brows. "Derek. What happened to you?" I continued to question, before my eyes caught Jackson whose eyes grew wide at the sight of Derek and I.
And soon a smirk broke onto his lips. "Oh I see..." Jackson trailed, making Derek remove his face from my neck. "Layla McCall is dating an older guy." Not really. We're not even dating, even though we are mates.
Derek clenched his jaw staring at Jackson. "Walk away." Derek demanded, but Jackson continued to stand in his place glaring back at Derek.
"Derek let's just go." I told him, trying to take him with me but that was until Jackson decided to be an idiot.
"No! I said we're not done." He placed his hand on Derek's shoulder causing Derek to grab him by the neck.
I almost screamed at the sight, gasping as I rushed towards Jackson and Derek. "Let him go, Derek." I ordered him, as Jackson tried prying Derek's hand off his throat as he let out choking sounds. "Derek! Let him go!" Derek realized his mistake and stepped back removing his hand from Jackson's neck.
Jackson sucked in as much air as he could. I grabbed Derek's hand but froze when I saw his claws at but as soon as my hand touched his, the claws soon turned back to normal nails.
I swallowed thickly, grabbing Derek's hand and taking him down the corridors. "I can't." He breathed in and out heavily, letting go of me and leaning against the lockers growing weaker.
I stared at him worriedly, placing my hand on his cheek. "What happened?" I asked, causing him to look at me holding his arm.
"I-I was shot." He breathed out.
I froze looking at the arm he was holding. "Aren't you supposed to heal?" I questioned worriedly.
He looked down at me with eyes that were barely opened. "It's a different kind of bullet." I looked around the hallway in worry.
I looked at the time noticing that the bell was going to ring soon for students to get out of class. "We have to get you out of here." I grabbed his not-injured arm and threw it over my shoulder. "Come on." I struggled to keep my balance as my tiny 5'4 frame could barely hold up his 6'something frame.
I breathed shakily, walking towards the exit hearing the bell ring as soon as I swung the door to the exit opened. "Stiles." I sighed in relief, seeing him climb into his blue jeep.
I struggled to quickly take him towards the jeep but as soon as I got close Stiles drove. Derek let go of me and walked towards the road. "Derek! What are you doing!?" I shouted as soon as I saw Stiles' jeep turn and went towards Derek who stood in the middle of the road. A loud sound irrupted as soon as Stiles slammed the breaks before it could hit Derek.
Derek fell to the ground causing me to run towards him. "Are you insane!?" I shouted, kneeling down and glaring down at him in worry.
"What's the worst that can happen? I'm already shot." He pointed out, causing me to shake my head.
Stiles jumps out of the car and quickly rushes to our side and so does Scott who appeared out of nowhere. "Oh, no no - no - no, not here!" Scott spoke up as soon as he rushed towards us.
Stiles sighed looking down at Derek. "You've gotta be kidding me. This guy's everywhere." Stiles commented, causing me to shoot him a look and instantly he shut his mouth.
Scott looked down at Derek in confusion. "What are you doing here?" He questioned, obviously blind to see Derek pale almost like he is dying.
Derek opened his mouth struggling to speak. "I was shot." He forced out, clearly from all the pain he is in.
Stiles and Scott kneel down beside me. "He's not looking so good, dude." Stiles stated the obvious.
Scott looked down at Derek carefully. "Why aren't you healing?" He continued to question.
I sighed tired of all these questions, if we don't help Derek now because of all these stupid questions, he could possibly die. Derek took me off guard when he tried to sit up. "I can't." He responded, his chest heaving up and down. "It was - it was a different kind of bullet." He struggled out.
I clenched my jaw when pain appeared in my own arm but it didn't hurt as bad as earlier. This time it was a stinging pain that wasn't as sharp. "A silver bullet?" Stiles asked, looking down at Derek.
"No, you idiot."
Scott paused for a second. "Wait, wait." He cut in causing everyone to look at him. "That's what she meant when she said you had 48 hours." I furrowed my brows.
"What?" I asked curiously. "Who said 48 hours?" I questioned for Derek causing Scott to glance over at me.
"The one who shot Derek." I furrowed my brows, who the hell is the one. I looked down at Derek and my eyes widen when his eyes flashed a beautiful blue. "What are you doing? Stop that!" Scott ordered, looking around us making sure no one saw.
Derek breathed out glaring at Scott. "I'm trying to tell you, I can't!" Derek argued back.
Okay that's enough. Scott went to say something but I cut him off. "Okay, leave the questions for bloody later! If we leave Derek like this a little longer than he could possibly die because you two want answers. Now help me put him in the car." I demanded to dumb and dumber who were both looked at me with eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Get up!" I said, annoyed at their expression.
I stood up from the ground as the two boys struggled to hold Derek up as they lead him towards the jeep. The loud annoying beeping noise of cars filled my ears as I opened the passenger door for him, letting them slip Derek in.
Before Scott can go Derek grabbed his arm preventing him from moving. "I need you to find out what kind of bullet they used." Derek breathed out as I went from the driver's side with Stiles and climbed in the back through the driver's seat.
"How the hell am I supposed to do that?" Scott asked not knowing what to do.
Derek leaned his head back against the head rest. "'Cause she's an Argent. She's with them." Derek forced out in pain.
"Why should I help you?" I sighed in annoyance, can he just complete whatever task he needs to freaking do?
"Dammit! Scott." I cut in before Derek could even speak. "Because you need him, and I need him. We both need him." Derek nodded his head, pointing at me.
"What she said." He breathed out in pain.
Scott sighed in defeat. "Fine." He agreed to do whatever task. "I'll try." If Scott doesn't get that bullet then what'll happen? That question went through my mind. "Hey get him out of here." Stiles glared at Scott.
Stiles wasn't too happy that the person that scares him was sitting in his car. "I hate you for this so much." Stiles grumbled under his breath the same time Scott shut the passenger door as Stiles drives off. I sighed in relief, leaning my back against the seat.
The veins in my wrist had turned black as the stinging pain continued to remain but it didn't hurt as bad to where I could scream. My attention was caught my Derek who was struggling to take his leather jacket off, I sat up and reached up helping him slip it off causing him to pause and look down at me with his forest green eyes. He continued to take his hands out of the sleeves. His eyes still remained onto me.
My ring started to glow and before I could think my hand was on Derek's injured arm where is wound was placed, my ring instantly shined bright as the veins in my hand popped out, my vision become green. I clutched my teeth when pain instantly appeared on my body, causing Derek to grab my hand and moving it away. "You're going to kill yourself." He said, leaning his head against my shoulder.
Stiles glanced between the two of us suspiciously before looking down at Derek with a look. Derek continued to breathe heavily against my shoulder due to pain, removing his head from my shoulder and placed his head against the headrest.
"Hey, try not to bleed out on my seats, okay?" I rolled my eyes at Stiles' comment, leaning my back against the seat again and crossing my arms. "We're almost there." He informed us, causing me to furrow my brows.
Derek breathed out looking over at Stiles confused. "Almost where?" He couldn't help but ask.
"Your house." Stiles said, making it like Derek was stupid.
Derek removed his head from the headrest staring at Stiles in disbelief. "What? No, you can't take me there." Stiles looked over at Derek like he was an idiot and Derek was giving him the same look.
"I can't take you to your own house?" Stiles declared.
Derek held onto his arm tightly due to pain. "Not when I can't protect myself." He breathed out.
Stiles hit the break causing me to almost fly over but I held myself. "Easy with the breaks." I snapped, glaring at Stiles' back of the head.
Stiles ignored me and turned to Derek. "All right." He began. "What happens if Scott doesn't find your little magic bullet? Hmm? Are you dying?" Stiles questioned, showing his hatred to Derek.
I bit my lip as a heavy pain entered my heart at the thought of Derek dying. "Not yet." Derek responded causing me to snap back into reality. "I have a last resort." He added on causing me to look at him confused.
"What do you mean? What last resort?" I asked this time, causing Derek to look over at me tiredly.
Derek weakly pulled his sleeve up revealing his gunshot wound. It wasn't bleeding as much but veins were on display as it went all around his forearm, heading towards hi inner elbow. I gasped cupping my mouth staring down at the injury with wide eyes.
"Oh, my God." Stiles and I both muttered at the same time.
I remained quiet slowly grabbing his arm in my hand examining it closely. "What is that? Oh, is that contagious? Layla don't touch him." I shot Stiles a look as he continued to ramble, looking like he was about to puke at the sight of Derek's injury. "You know what, you should probably just get out." He pointed at the door as his face scrunched up in disgust.
I looked at my best friend in disbelief. "Start the car. Now." Derek demanded weakly.
Stiles narrowed his eyes at Derek, offended that Derek ordered him to do something. "I don't think you should be barking orders with the way you look, okay? In fact, I think if I wanted to, I could probably drag your little werewolf ass out into the middle of the road and leave you for dead." I rolled my eyes letting go of Derek's arm.
"You know what? Instead of you dragging Derek's little werewolf ass out of the car, I'll be dragging your little human ass out of the car if you don't start this car." I demanded, Stiles looked at me with wide eyes.
Derek breathed in and out heavily. "Start the car, or I'll rip your throat out..." He paused. "With my teeth." He threatened causing Stiles to glance back and forth between Derek and I, sucking in a breath sitting up not saying another word as he turned on the car and started driving again.
"Dear god." I grumbled under my breath, leaning my back against the seat once again and looking out of the window. The way to make Stiles do something, threatened him with the most dangerous threats that he will believe.
