I was at the bleachers sitting right next to my mom, I was nervous as hell not knowing what was going to happen tonight, pushing my hair back as I saw Scott and a couple of other player walking out. I sucked in a breath before turning to my mom "Mom, I'll be right back." I informed her, she nodded her head.

I put my lips in a line standing up from my seat walking out of the bleachers but froze when my eyes caught Allison's father. My heart immediately sunk just staring at him. What was he doing here? His eyes caught mine causing me to nervously look the other way and quickly rush my way down towards Scott.

Furrowing my brows when I saw Scott and Lydia talking, and of course she will do anything in her power to win. "I just want you to remember one thing for tonight." I stopped walking, crossing my arms listening to the two.

"Uh..." Scott trailed trying to think of something. "Winning isn't everything?" And I had just realized that Lydia pulled Scott close to her which made him even more awkward and nervous.

"Nobody likes losers." She told him, making me roll my eyes. Scott slowly nodded as she let go of him and walked away walking past me, shooting me a little smile.

I stepped closer to my brother hearing him sigh at Lydia. "Hey." I greeted, causing his attention to turn to me. "Good luck out there." He smiled at me pulling me into a hug.

"I'm glad you're here." I smiled at him, rubbing his back before pulling away.

"Be careful." I continued, causing him to suck in a breath knowing what I was talking about.

"I'll try." He whispered.

I rubbed his arm. "Not to make you nervous or anything. But..." I looked over my shoulder into the crowd where Allison's dad was seated. "Allison's dad is here." He looked into the crowd with a worried look. "Don't worry about him. Focus on yourself, control it." I reminded, he looked back at me nodding his head.

"I'll try." I sent him a small smile, before walking away but that was until my attention caught Jackson.

I stuffed my hands into my pocket as I slowly walked towards him and coach. "You feel pain?" Awkwardly putting my lips in a line as I stood right beside Coach, I glanced back and forth between the two.

"No" Jackson responded with a short reply, giving me a little glance.

I crossed my arms watching carefully. "What if I gave it a big ol' punch? Would you - would you feel any pain then?" Coach asked, obviously worried that his team wasn't going to win tonight.

And what kind of question was that? Obviously it would hurt if you punched it. "Maybe." Jackson answered with honesty.

"Listen, just go out there. Just give it your best. If you feel any pain, just..." Coach paused thinking what to say causing Jackson and I to share a look.

Jackson looked hesitant before speaking up. "Just..keep - playing?" He responded unsure about his answer.

"That's my boy!" Coach said, happily.

I looked at Coach with a raised brow. "Coach, you really don't know how to inspire someone." I commented, causing him to shoot me a look.

"Ms.McCall I'd appreciate it if you didn't comment on my inspirational speeches." I furrowed my brows at him confused.

"But... You didn't even give a speech." Coach once again shot me a look.

"Ms.McCall. I told you not to speak." I rolled my eyes watching him walk away, burning the back of his head before turning around and look at Jackson who awkwardly stood there.

I sucked in a breath, stuffing my hands into my pocket, inching closer to Jackson. "Hey..." I trailed awkwardly.

He gave me a small smile. "Hey." Using the same tone.

I stared at his should with a guilty look. "Sorry about your shoulder." I apologized, looking at it before looking back at him.

"It's not like you were the one who broke it." I chuckled at his comment.

"I know. But still." I looked back at the field noticing they were starting the game. "Good luck." I flashed him a grin.

He smirked at me, giving me a little tap on the shoulder. "I needed that luck." He said, walking away. He stopped at his mid-step turning around looking back at me shooting me a real smile before I returned one and walked back to the bleachers, taking my seat beside Stiles knowing this was going to be one hell of a game.

"Hey." Stiles greeted, as soon as I took a seat beside him.

"Hi." I breathed out nervously. "This is going to be the most terrifying game." I revealed, causing him to nod his head.

"This isn't good, especially with all these people around." He said, causing me to look at the crowd in the bleachers watching the game.

I bit my lip looking back at the field nervously. "Hey, kid." Mr.Stilinski's voice came flowing into our ears causing me to and Stiles to look over at him.

"Hey." Stiles greeted back.

I played with my hand looking over at my mom to see her focused on the field, this really isn't good. I went to turn my attention back but that was until my eyes caught a shadow in the back. "So, you think you'll see any action tonight?" Mr.Stilinski asked, making me freeze and look back at Stiles.

"Action? Maybe..." Stiles trailed, as he glanced at me.

I stood up from my spot, hearing the whistle blow knowing the game started but I had to get to him. I walked up, until my hand got caught by my mom. "Where are you going?" She asked, causing me to look over at the shadow in the dark.

"I forgot something in the car. I'll be back." She nodded, and slowly let go of my hand.

I sent her a small smile, rushing my way out of the bleachers and down the corridors, looking around for him. "Derek." I breathed out rushing towards him.

He looked down at me with a disappointed look. "You let him play." He commented, causing me to sigh and run my hand through my hair.

"I tried." I started. He continued to stare down at me. "I demanded that he wouldn't play but all of a sudden when tonight came and you were in jail he felt the need to do it." I sighed, looking down shaking my head.

He continued to stare at me with his emotionless eyes. "If he doesn't control tonight..." He trailed, staring deep into my brown orbs. "People will find out and they'll kill us. Each and every one of us and it's not going to be only the hunters. It's going to be everyone in Beacon Hills." I turned away from him, interlocking my hands behind the back of my neck.

I looked back at him to see him watching me carefully. "Well...It's too late now. He's already on the field, now we have to pray and hope to god that he will not shift." I said, defeated.

"Come with me." He grabbed my hand causing me to jolt at the sudden sparks and shocks climbing all over my arm, ignoring it as he dragged me with him back to the bleachers. We stood back in the shadows watching the field carefully. "You see that?" He pointed at the sign Allison and Lydia were holding up.

Just what we needed, I bit my lip nervously staring at the sign with pure hate. "Now look at Scott." He pointed out, causing me to turn my attention to Scott to see him furiously staring at the poster. "That's the reason he is going to shift. That." He repeated, causing me to look over at him. "His anger will take control of him." I looked back at Scott nervously.

Don't do this, Scott. My phone vibrated causing me to pull it out and see a text from Stiles.

Derek looked down at my phone, before his eyes went to my face. "You should get back." He motioned to Stiles sitting there looking around the crowd, obviously looking for me.

I bit the side of my cheek. "Okay." I responded, looking at him one last time before making my way down the bleachers and towards Stiles.

Stiles sighed in relief when he saw me. "Where were you?" He asked, causing me to suck in a breath.

"I had to get something from the car." I lied, still feeling Derek's appearance here.

Stiles sighed. "Well when you were gone, that." He pointed at the sign they were still holding. "Made Scott furious." I glared at the sign before turning my attention to Stiles.

"This is not going to end beautifully." I confirmed, staring back at the field watching Scott going to an open area where no one was at and instead of Jackson throwing it to Scott he threw it to someone who was around the opposite team. "Is it just me or is Jackson not letting Scott get the ball?" I asked, causing Stiles to furrow his brows.

"Him and the other teammates have been doing this ever since the beginning of the game." He answered, making me clench my jaw knowing exactly what was going on.

"Jackson planned this. He planned not to pass the ball to Scott." I muttered, suddenly glaring at Jackson badly. "That jackass."

"This is just going to end great." Stiles commented, sarcastically.

He grabbed my hand playing with my fingers nervously, ever since we were younger when Stiles would get nervous he'd play with my fingers to calm himself down.

Stiles sighed shaking his head. "Brutal." He commented, causing me to look over and see Allison and Lydia continuing to hold a sign. I rolled my eyes looking back at the field.

I furrowed my brows watching Scott acting very weird and I knew exactly what was happening. My heart continued to beat fast, as I looked back at Derek's shadow that was hidden, turning back to the game sucking in a breath "Scott. Control." I whispered, staring at him on the field.

His eyes caught mine, my eyes widen when I noticed his yellow eyes. "Everyone is here do whatever you can to control. Think about mom, Scott. Don't let her see you that way." He continued to stare at me as I sent him a pleading look.

Stiles continued to play with my fingers but this time more harshly. I squeezed his hand feeling nervous just watching this, my heart was pounding against my chest almost like it was going to jump out.

Jackson and another person on the opposite team fought for the ball until it was thrown up in the air and within seconds Scott leaps up and catches it making a smile spread onto my face, he lands right back onto his feet and charges towards the goal net, right past Jackson who didn't look too happy.

Stiles and I both glanced at each other before looking back onto the field to see Scott swinging back and throwing the ball right towards the goal, past the goalie and into the net. I couldn't help but continue to squeeze Stiles' hand not sure what was going to happen after that, Stiles squeezed mine back.

"McCall! Pass to McCall!" Coach yelled, causing me to nervously turn my attention to Scott.

My eyes widen when I caught him shaking as an opposite team stood in front of him, the look of fright went on that person's face backing up slowly in fear. "Oh no." I muttered, pushing my hair back. "This is not good." I breathed out, feeling my heart squeeze as I glanced at Allison's dad who was staring carefully at the field. "Great..." I trailed.

This whistle is blown again and the game starts once again. I sucked in a breath when the opposite team threw the ball at Scott, causing me to stare in confusion, even Coach was confused by the opposite team's reaction. "Did the opposing team just deliberately pass us the ball?" He question, Stiles and I causing the two of us to share a look at one another.

Stiles swallowed thickly. "Yes, I believe so, coach."

Stiles squeezed my index finger gently. "Interesting..." He trailed, staring deeply at the field. My eyes widen when I noticed Scott's weird actions.

"Scott..." I trailed quietly.

"This is not good." Stiles whispered, watching with wide eyes.

Scott carried the ball and darted with an inhuman speed towards the goal, swinging his stick back but stopped and paused causing me to furrow my brows. "Come on Scott..." Stiles muttered as we watched carefully.

and throwing it roughly into the goal. I gasped when the ball went through the goalie's stick and into the net of the goal. "Goal! Yes! Yes! There you go." Coach cheered happily, everyone else around us cheered and screamed into our ears. "Wha - Way to go, McCall! What? The ball's in the net." He's shifting, that's for sure.

I watched my mom go and congratulate Scott, and that made me stand up from my seat. My eyes widen when I saw who was trailing after Allison...He dad. "Oh god." I breathed out, staring with concern.

"Dad what's wrong?" I heard Stiles' voice causing me to look over to see Mr.Stilinski on the phone staring up at Stiles.

My attention went back to Derek who was standing there motioning me to follow him. I sucked in a breath without saying anything, quickly making my way out of the bleachers, following Derek out of the school and into the parking lot.

We stopped by his car, as he turned around and faced me. "This won't the first time this will happen. And it won't be like this, it'll get worse." He reassured, causing me to close my eyes tightly.

"There is nothing I can do." I responded, defeated. "I can't control my brother. He won't listen to me." I defended myself, walking over and leaning against his car crossing my arms. I paused for a second...Wait..."How did you get out of jail!?" I exclaimed, staring at him with a puzzled look.

He looked down at me with his green eyes that held a mysterious look. "She was my sister." I gasped, staring at him with wide eyes. "Laura Hale." I cupped my mouth staring at him with an apologetic look.

"Oh my god...Derek." I breathed out staring at him. "I'm so sorry." I apologized, he looked away.

"There is no need for you to apologize." He said, looking back at me.

I interlocked my hands staring up at him. "I know. But on behalf of my brother and best friend, I'm so sorry." I continued to apologize. "They are so stupid." I muttered, shaking my head guilty.

"Stop apologizing." He demanded.

"I'm sor-" I cut myself off realizing what I was going to say. I nodded my head slowly. "Okay, I'll stop." I reassured, looking at the street lights. "Everything you've been through..." I paused, closing my eyes. "It hurts just thinking about being in that position, it hurts even more knowing you experienced it." I breathed out, turning my gaze to him to see him already staring down at me with this look in his eyes.

He shrugged. "I've moved on." He responded, coldly.

We sat there in comfortable silence until I heard the entrance door of the school close causing me to stand straight and look over to see Jackson. "Cute plan you had there." I said, sarcastically causing him to stop walking and stare at me. "Are you that childish?" I asked, leaning off of Derek's car and walking towards Jackson.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I chuckled shaking my head furiously.

"You know, I can't believe I actually felt guilty seeing your shoulder this way." My face turned into a furious look as I glared at him. "You're terrified aren't you?" I questioned, causing him to look at me confused. "You're terrified of someone playing better than you." I pointed out. He stepped closer to me closing the gap between us, hearing Derek take in a sharp breath.

"You brother is on something. And I'm willing to find out what it is, no matter what it takes." I nodded my head looking straight into his eyes.

"It's kind of cute how you think just because someone is better than you, they are on something. Just accept it Jackson Whittemore, someone is better than you. Now move on." I sassed, causing him to smirk and look down at me.

"I don't believe you." He stepped closer causing our face to be inches apart, hearing Derek shuffle around in the background. "You wish you had me." I narrowed my eyes as my face turned into disgust.

I clicked my tongue. "Sorry, but I don't date little boys." I smirked, staring at him. "I dodged a huge bullet in the ninth grade but sadly it hit Lydia pretty hard." I backed up, as I watched his glare burn holes into my face. "Go ahead, do whatever you please to plan but no matter what you'll get nowhere because at the end of the day, my brother isn't on anything. He's just better than you. So face it." I snapped, glaring back at him.

"This isn't over, Layla." He backed up walking away not sparing Derek a glance as he walked towards his car.

I breathed in heavily placing my hand on my forehead glaring at his car as he drove away. I turned to face Derek who was staring at me carefully. "I apologize that you had to hear that." He shook his head.

"It's fine." He responded, coldly.

I stared at him carefully. "Why are you always so cold and expressionless?" I asked, causing his shoulders to stiffen. "I understand that what happened to you was hard but being cold to me isn't going to help cover the pain." He turned his face the other way.

"It's for your own good." He muttered, my ears forcefully caught what he was saying.

My mouth slowly zipped closed, my phone vibrated causing his head to shoot up, pushing my hair back and unlocking my phone, clicking Stiles' recent message.

I chuckled, ignoring Derek's eyes on me as I typed a quick reply.

I locked my phone slipping it back into my pocket. "I guess. I should head home." I commented, looking around the dark parking lot.

Derek stared down at me. "I'll take you home." I slowly nodded my head not having the feeling to reject his offer.

He unlocked the car making his way to the other side of the car, while I pulled the door of the passenger door open and slipped inside. I buckled my seatbelt as he started the car and drove off. "Seatbelt." I pointed out, causing him to glance and me and slowly grab the seatbelt strapping himself without a fight.

I smiled proudly looking out of the window. My hands were interlocked with each other, sucking in a nervous breath when we made it to my driveway. I slowly reached down unstrapping my seatbelt.

"Derek-" I turned to face him but my lips were soon met with his plumped ones, making me freeze in my spot my eyes grew wide before I melted into the kiss and slowly kissed back with my eyes fluttered closed.

We both pulled away at the same time sucking in a breath. "I guess...I should go." I said awkwardly, staring up at him to see him nodding his head. "Goodnight." I commented, slipping out of the car and walking towards my house but soon stopped when I noticed he was still there watching me carefully.

My heart skipped a beat as I continued to make my way inside and shut the door behind me clutching my chest with a smile plastered onto my face. I climbed up the stairs into my room, slipping off my clothes and taking out my pajamas. I slipped them on and walked towards my bed, tucking myself in comfortably. My hand went up touching my lips with a small smile playing on my lips.

I gasped shooting up, clutching onto my chest tightly as I looked around my room with fear in my eyes as flashes of the red eyes came into my mind. I shivered, quickly getting out of my bed and rushing towards Scott's room.
