《Healing Hearts ❤ Derek Hale ✔ (Under construction)》(1x2) Second Chance at First Line, part 3 ✓

I lied on my back, with my hand placed onto my forehead. Flashes of the kiss Derek and I shared came running into my mind, biting my lip while staring at the ceiling not knowing what to think or do. After all the shocking news that he was my mate is still processing in my head. I barely slept last night because I continuously thought about Derek. He kept running in my mind every time I shut my eyes.
My door flew open causing my head to snap over and see who it is to see Scott looking at me in a rush. "Get dressed, quick!" I furrowed my brows, sitting up.
"Why?" I asked, looking at him curiously.
He sighed. "Just get dressed, Stiles is coming to pick us up in a few." He said, before walking out and leaving me sitting there confused.
I huffed throwing the sheet, standing up from the bed and heading towards the closet, pulling my clothes not feeling like dressing up today. (Outfit on top) I sat on my bed lacing up my shoes.
Grabbing my phone and walking towards my bedroom door pulling it open, rushing down the stairs to see Scott waiting for me at the bottom. "Finally." I rolled my eyes, as we both walked out of the front door.
"This better be important, because if you made me get up for something stupid. I will kick your ass when we get home." I threatened, walking towards Stiles' jeep.
I slipped inside the backseat. "Freaking finally." Stiles said in relief, making me glare at him through the review mirror. "Just remembered you're not a morning person." Shaking my head at him, looking out the window as he drove off to god knows where.
My eyebrow furrows when I realized we were heading on the road that leads to the woods and not only the woods but also Derek's house. Why would they bring me here? What is so important? Oh no. What did they do? I bit my lip feeling worried that they did something to Derek.
The jeep came to a stop causing me to look out the window and my eyes instantly went wide when I saw officers at the burnt down mansion. Deputy cars were parked, before I could say anything Scott and Stiles both jumped out of the car.
I sucked in a breath climbing out hesitantly, my eyes widen when I saw them dragging a handcuffed Derek out of the house. "What did you both do!?" I yelled, turning my attention to the idiots next to me.
Scott rubbed the back of his neck. "We found the other half..." Scott trailed. I closed my eyes, tightly huffing and puffing.
"The other half." I repeated, shaking my head. "And you didn't bother to let him explain or anything? You just immediately called the cops? You both are insane! Insane!" I shouted, my attention went back to Derek who was glaring at the two beside me as the officer sticks him into the car.
"Stupid idiots. Stupid idiots." I repeated, kicking Stiles' jeep making him gasp.
"Hey! Hey! Watch the jeep." My head snapped up glaring at him deeply. "Okay...You know what." Stiles grabbed my arm causing me to look at him confused as he dragged me with him to god knows where.
"Why are you taking Layla with you?" Scott asked, causing Stiles to look over at Scott as he continued to walk and drag me with him.
He smiled at my brother. "She is my personal bodyguard." I looked at him in disbelief. Shouldn't he be my bodyguard not the other way around, it sure doesn't surprise me. It's Stiles what do you expect. "When Derek tries to attack me I will throw her in front of him." He explained, causing me to let out a noise from disbelief.

Why do I have this idiot as my friend? Can someone please tell me? Scott went to protest but Stiles continued to take me further and shoved me into the passenger seat. "Easy with the hands." I told him as he got into the passenger seat.
"Sensitive." Stiles muttered, causing me to look at him with narrowed eyes.
"One day will come where I'm going to kill you. Actually kill you."
Stiles shook his head turning to look at Derek. And I just remembered Derek was in the car with us, looking over at him and let me tell you he did not look happy. He was pissed. "Okay, just so you know I'm not afraid of you." Stiles said, causing me to hold my laugh. Sure he isn't. Sure...Derek looked up at him sending him a glare causing Stiles to shrink back. "Okay, maybe I am." I shook my head rolling my eyes continuously.
"Doesn't matter." Sure it doesn't. "I just wanna know something. The girl you killed - she was a werewolf." Stiles started, causing me to lean against the seat. Making eye contact with Derek caused me to swoon and get nervous. "She was a different kind, wasn't she? I mean, she could turn herself into an actual wolf, and I know Scott can't do that. Is that why you killed her?" I rubbed my temple feeling my head pound badly at his words.
I think I'm actually losing brain cells. "It's cute..." I spoke up, causing Stiles to look at me as I turned and looked back at him. "How you and Scott both invaded his home, found the other half without finding out what really happened and automatically called the police. That's a very smart move." I said, sarcastically. Using his own weapon against him felt so good. "Next time when you both are invading people's privacy think and find out what really happened...Oh wait! I forgot you and Scott lost your brains a long time ago." I noted suddenly feeling annoyed and angry at them for causing this upon Derek.
I'm more positive than a pregnancy test that Derek Hale did not kill her. Stiles placed his hand over his heart staring at me. "I'm offended." I rolled my eyes looking out the window.
"Why are you so worried about me when it's your friend who's the problem?" Derek's dark voice, spoke up causing me to freeze as goosebumps to arrive on my arm as soon as he talked. This mate bound was really affecting me. Derek leaned closer to the cage causing Stiles to move back in fear. "When he shifts on the field, what do you think they're gonna do? Just keep cheering him on? I can't stop him from playing, but you can. And, trust me..." Derek paused for a second. "You want to." I slowly looked over at Stiles, giving him a little eyebrow raise.
But soon my face dropped when Stiles was dragged out of the car by his dad. "Great." I muttered, turning my attention to Derek. "I'm sorry." Those words fell out of my lips as soon as we made eye contact. "I really didn't think they were capable of doing this. I promise I'll visit you when I have time." I promised, he continued to stare deeply into my eyes.
My heart skipped a beat my teeth sucked into my bottom lip. "There is no need for you to apologize." I couldn't help but smile a little when he spoke up.

"I know. But I'm apologizing on my brother's behalf." I continued, before turning around and opening the door slipping out causing Mr.Stilinski to look over at me.
"What that hell do both of you think you're doing!?" Sheriff Stilinski asked, looking down at his son unhappy.
"I'm just trying to help." Stiles told him, causing me to shake my head in annoyance.
I continued to stay silent let Stiles do all the talking but I knew I'd regret not opening my mouth. "Okay, well, how 'bout you help me understand exactly how you both came across this." I wrapped my arms around myself, looking over at the deputy car, my eyes fell onto Derek who was looking back at me through the window.
I turned my attention back to the two Stilinskis in front of me. "We were looking for Scott's inhaler." Stiles lied, but that caused my heart to sink.
I knew it! I knew I'd regret this so bad. "Which he dropped when?" He asked, curiously. I closed my eyes tightly praying to god Stiles would lie and not say we were with him the other night in the woods.
"The other night." Stiles answered, causing my eyes to snap open and look over at Stiles with a 'I'm going to kill you' look. He just glanced at me then stared at his dad.
"The other night when you were out here looking for the first half of the body?" I forcefully swallowed, shuffling around nervously.
Say no. Stiles. Say no or I'll haunt you in your sleep! "Yes." What an idiot! Is he that stupid? Tell me he is not actually that stupid. I actually face palmed right in front of sheriff. We were caught anyways thanks to this dumbass next to me.
"The night that you told me you were alone and the twins were at home?" We were screwed, thanks to my idiotic friend Stiles Stilinski.
"Yes. No. Oh, crap!" I sucked my teeth glaring at Stiles' side face.
Burning deep holes into them, you are a huge idiot with that big head of yours Stiles. "So you lied to me?" Sheriff added. I crossed my arms staring at Stiles with a straight face.
Stiles glanced at me. "That depends on how you define lying." My eyebrows shot up.
I put my hand up in surrender. "Sheriff, I was forced against my will to come here." Stiles' head snapped into my direction so did his dad. "Yes. Stiles dragged me and forced me into that car. He said he'd use me as a personal bodyguard. I really didn't want to be involved in this." I continued to expose him causing Stiles' jaw to drop. "I have nothing to do with this. I'm innocent." Sheriff's head snapped over to Stiles' direction.
Stiles continued to stare at me with a betrayed expression while too scared to even look at his dad's angry expression. "You forced her into this?" Sheriff asked, disappointed. I shrugged innocently. "Just get the hell out of here." He demanded.
"Absolutely." Stiles quickly grabbed my hand dragging me with him.
Looking over my shoulder at Sheriff Stilinski with a smile on my face. "Have a great day! Mr.Stilinski." I called out as Stiles continued to drag me.
As soon as we reached Stiles' jeep, Stiles let go of my hand and looked at me with a look. "You threw me under the bus!" He exclaimed, putting my lips in a line.
"Well...You did drag me in the car...So I spoke the truth just like you did." I said, walking towards the car slipping inside the backseat.
I was sitting in the back of Stiles' jeep as he continued to drive while Scott was surfing the web on his phone trying to find something about wolf bane that they found when they found the dead body buried next to Derek's house.
But that was until Scott started to lose his temper and start yelling. "Maybe it's different for girl werewolves" Stiles added, as we both noticed Scott's sudden change of mood.
"Okay, stop it!" Scott demanded, causing me to look away from the window and at him confused.
"Stop what?" Stiles asked, I stayed silent watching curiously with my arms crossed.
"Stop saying "werewolves"! Stop enjoying this so much." He snapped out of anger.
I sat up straighter looking at my brother with a puzzled look. "Are you okay?" I spoke up, it was strange because he was breathing heavily.
He placed his hand onto his head causing me to worry as he rubbed his eyes, sweat formed onto his forehead, he was blinking non-stop causing me to swallow roughly as I watched him carefully.
"No! No, I'm not. I'm so far from being okay." He breathed out heavily.
I ran a hand through my hair, watching with curiousness and carefully. "You're gonna have to accept this, Scott, sooner or later." Stiles continued to push, causing me to shoot him a look.
He's not making things better. "I can't..." Scott trailed off.
Obviously he didn't want to accept this new supernatural life. "Well, you're gonna have to." Stiles shot back. I let out a sigh running my hand through my hair once again.
"No! I can't breathe!" Scott yelled, he heaves up, head pulled back, mouth opened it was as if he stabbed in his back. "Aah! Ah, pull over!" He demanded.
"Why? What's happening?" Stiles asked in a rush, I sent him a 'really' look. Is he joking right now!? Clearly something is wrong with Scott and it's starting to scare me.
I furrowed my brows, unzipping Stiles' bag and revealing the purple wolf bane. Scott's head snapped over as he stared at it. "You kept it!?" Scott exclaimed in shock.
I sat there confused not knowing what this has to do with anything. "What was I supposed to do with it?" Stiles questioned, defending himself.
I gasped when Scott's eyes started to turn yellow. "Stop the car!" Scott demanded. Stiles pulled over instantly we climbed out of the car with the bag still in my hand.
I looked over at Stiles confused. "How does this affect werewolves?" I asked curiously, Stiles looked at it.
"It's poison to werewolves." He revealed causing my eyebrows to shoot up in surprise, he took the bag from me and threw it in the woods as far as he could. "Okay - Okay." Stiles breathed out in relief. "We're good, you can –" Stiles cut himself off, causing me to look behind us but to see Scott wan't around us. "Scott? Scott?" Stiles called out, we both looked at each other.
"Oh no." I breathed out, looking around us, but Scott wasn't anywhere to be seen.
I entered the police station, officers were all around. Some people were handcuffed to the chair, sucking in a shaky breath hoping to god that Sheriff Stilinski wasn't here to see me. I walked towards the reception desk to see a woman sitting there.
"Hello." I greeted, causing her to look up at me with a kind smile.
"Hi, how can I help you?" She questioned, softly.
I put my lips in a line. "I'm here to visit someone, they were brought in today." I played with my hand nervously.
She looked at me hesitantly. "Who would that be?" She questioned, curiously.
"Derek Hale." As soon as his name rolled off my tongue, my heart fluttered.
She narrowed her eyes at me, staring at me curiously. "What relations do you have with Derek Hale?" I froze for a second, what am I supposed to say? Without thinking the answer slipped off my tongue.
"I'm his fiancé." My eyes widen when I realized what I had just said. Sucking in a breath playing it off, as she continued to scan my face suspiciously.
"Aren't you a little too young to be engaged?" She asked, causing me to slip the ring Lydia gave me for my birthday and placed it onto my right ring finger.
I purposely ran a hand through my hair, making sure she saw the ring. "What can I say love is love, it happens no matter what. Not all love stories are the same." She stared at my hand, slowly nodding her head. She cleared her throat. "I'll send you right in." She smiled at me, motioning a cop to come and lead the way.
I followed the cop that led the way but my heart sunk when my eyes fell on Sheriff Stilinski, pushing my hair in front of my face. Trying not to be seen by him, he's blow up on me if he found out I'm visiting Derek Hale.
I sighed in relief when we entered the cell room. That was a pass. I looked around for his cell, but instantly froze when his voice came bombarding into my ears. "If it isn't my fiancé..." I blushed as soon as I heard his words.
Walking towards his cell with heat rushing onto my body, he walked towards the cell holding onto the metal bars with his green eyes staring down at me. Making me feel even more nervous than I already was, I let out a little chuckle. "I had nothing else to say." I shrugged innocently.
"You kept your promise." He muttered, with a straight face.
"I never break my promises." I told him, staring up at him, walking closer to the cell and holding onto the bars myself. "I'm sorry that my brother and best friend caused this upon you. I know that you didn't kill her." He looked down at me with a little smirk on his face causing my heart to skip a beat.
He leaned down closer to me causing me to feel his breath against my cheek. My mind was blank the closer he got. "What if I did kill her?" Derek added, cockily with his smirk still on his face.
"No. I know you didn't." I muttered back.
His eyes slowly fell onto my lips causing me to straighten myself, while butterflies fluttered around my stomach. "What if I felt the need to kill someone?" He uttered, I licked my lip shaking my head.
I stared up at him, sliding my hand up. Not realizing that my hand was on top of his until sparks jolted up my hands and arms but I didn't let go. "You wouldn't." I reassured, I realized we were both closer than before. The bars were the only things between us preventing us from getting closer.
I heard someone clear their throat making my head snap over and move away, removing my hand from Derek's. My eyes landed on the cop that led me here. "Time is up." He revealed awkwardly, I smiled at him nodding my head looking over at Derek one last time sending him a soft smile before turning my back to him and walking off.
