I huffed leaning back staring at the field watching Scott play. My thoughts were filled from last night. I still couldn't process how Scott and I were bitten by something that transformed us into supernatural creatures. That's only supposed to happen in the movies or some dramatic television series not real life.

I jumped startled by the sudden touch on my shoulder, my head snapped over to see Allison staring at me with a puzzled look. "You okay? I've been calling you for a while now." She asked, concerned taking a seat beside me.

I cleared my throat. "Yeah." I nodded my head. "I'm fine. I was just drowned in my thoughts, sorry." I apologized, she chuckled.

"It's fine and I'm sorry for scaring you." I grinned at her.

"Could have given me a heart attack but I'm okay." I joked, causing her to chuckle.

We both turned back to the game. "I love your outfit by the way." She complimented causing me to look down at my clothes.

"Thank you."

We both fell in silence watching the game but what I noticed so far was that Scott wasn't focused on the game which caused me to worry. I looked over at Stiles who was looking right back at me sharing a look. "Um. I need to go talk to Stiles." I excused myself from Allison

Walking towards Stiles taking a seat, biting my lip watching my brother with anxiousness filling me. "Okay. Something is wrong." I started, as Stiles continued to keep his eyes on my brother. "Scott isn't focusing." I added on.

"I know. That's why I'm keeping an eye on him." He informed me. "I have a feeling he's going to lose control like he did at my house." Stiles looked at me sharing the same concerned look as I did.

I bit my lip due to anxiety as I played with my fingers staring in worry. "McCall, my grandmother can move faster than that and she's dead!" I heard coach yell causing my eyes to widen. "Can you move faster than the lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother, McCall?" I raised my brow at his comment. Okay...I don't understand how this went from lacrosse to coach's dead grandmother.

"Yes, coach!" Scott replied.

"Then do it again!" Coach shouted loudly.

Yep. This is for sure going to go wrong. Stiles and I both shared a look when the whistle blew, while coach throwing the ball towards Scott while he shot forward. Scott's speed worried me the most, knowing he was losing control by his movements.

I gasped loudly watching Jackson and Scott running towards each other and within seconds Jackson was on the ground yelling in pain as he held his shoulder.

I cupped my mouth watching the action, standing up from my seat as Stiles and I both looked at each other. "Oh god." I muttered, turning my eyes back to my brother but he was gone.

Stiles got up running to wherever Scott went, I sighed about to follow him when my eyes caught a pair of forest green eyes causing me to freeze. What was Derek doing here? I sucked in a breath watching him watch me, as our eyes continued to lock in. I didn't want to look away but at the same time my brother was more important than my random and strange attraction to this mysterious stranger.

Sucking in a breath and breaking eye contact with him as I walked away, rushing towards the locker room. I bursted through the doors to see Stiles holding a fire extinguisher. "Stiles!?" I shouted causing him to freeze. "What the hell are you doing with a fire extinguisher?" I questioned, glancing between him and my brother.

"Your brother tried to kill me." Stiles said, pointing at Scott who was on the floor panting and sweating.

Stiles slowly dropped the fire extinguisher as I rushed my way towards my brother's aid, I could tell Stiles was still shaken up by this, crouching down beside him placing my hand on his shoulder, rubbing it comfortingly. "It's like I told you before." Stiles started, causing the both of us to look up at him. "It's the anger. It's your pulse rising. It's a trigger." Stiles stated, staring down at Scott hesitantly.

"But that's lacrosse." Scott defended. "It's a pretty violent game if you hadn't noticed." I put a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Well, it's going to be a lot more violent if you end up killing someone on the field." I spoke up, causing the attention to turn to me. Stiles nodded in agreement, obviously after all the negative things we've seen with Scott we are on the same page. "You can't play Saturday." His face fell. "You have to get out of the game." I insisted, causing him to stare up at me.

"But I'm first in line." I rolled my eyes at his dumb excuse.

I get that this way his dream to play first in line and actually be in the game instead of sitting on the bench all day but it's for everyone's safety and including his own. "Not anymore." Stiles broke it to him.

I stood up from my crouched position. "Get cleaned up. I'll be waiting outside." I told him. "You too Stiles. You're my ride home don't forget about me this time." Glaring at him for leaving me at the party last night while he ran out leaving me to drive with Derek.

I walked towards the door of the locker room, pushing it open and walking out. I slipped my phone out scrolling through my phone as I made my way down the hall when all of a sudden a pair of hands grasped my arms and forced me into the janitor's closet.

A scream almost escaped my throat but whoever this person was, was smart enough to put a hand over my mouth, sparks flew all over my body but I ignored it, breathing in and out heavily, fighting against this person's grip. "Sh!" It shushed me before the lights turned on revealing gorgeous green eyes.

He slowly removed his hand from my mouth when I slowly relaxed, staring at him. "Derek." I breathed in relief that it was him and not some pervert. I placed my hand over my forehead breathing in and out due to fear. "Dear god! You scared me to death." I snapped, looking up at his gorgeous green eyes that just mesmerized my heart and everything else in my body. "Why did you drag me into the janitor's closet?" I asked, looking around the place to see mops and stuff everywhere.

"I found something." He ignored my question, my head snapped up to him.

I felt nervous for some reason around him. I don't know why. I just felt shy around him even though he's just a stranger but he makes my insides do things for some weird reason. He just makes me nervous when he is around me. "What is it?" I asked, snapping out of my thoughts.

He stared down at me with a straight face and a serious expression. "I know what you are capable of." My eyebrows narrowed staring up at him. "Nothing bad." I sighed in relief, thanking god that I wasn't anything dangerous.

Staring up at him hesitantly. "What are they?" I asked, looking up at him curiously while he stared down at me with his dark handsome expression.

He was so gorgeous it was making my insides swoon. The attraction that I was carrying towards him didn't make me feel any better. "I can't tell you here." I put my lips in a line realizing we were still in the janitor's closet.

"Right.." I trailed. "We should get out of here before the janitor comes and starts thinking the wrong way then snitches on me." I uttered, slightly annoyed at the janitors that just love drama.

I looked over at Derek who was staring down at me with a little light in his eyes but that soon faded when he noticed that I caught him staring at me. His eyes instantly went cold and expressionless. I bit my lip. "Come on." He glanced at my lip before walking towards the janitor's door swinging it open and walking out carelessly.

He really didn't care what people thought. Huh. I slowly walked towards the door, peeking my head out making sure no one was around. "Are you coming or not?" Derek said, looking over at him to see him staring at me over his shoulder.

I rolled my eyes shutting the janitor door and walking out, following after him. We both exited the school side by side, my arm slowly brushed against his causing me to shiver. Thank god the weather was slightly cold so if he asks I could just blame it on the weather.

We both walked towards his sexy black Camaro. He perfectly matches this car, my eyes landed on some students watching me carefully with the mysterious looking bad boy. I rolled my eyes knowing new gossip was going to happen tomorrow. "Great." I muttered, staring at each of them causing Derek to glance over at them.

He rolled his eyes. I pulled the passenger door open. Slipping inside as he did the same. I strapped my seatbelt watching him turn on the car without strapping his own. "Aren't you going to strap your seatbelt?" I questioned staring down at him worriedly.

He glanced at me. "I'm fine. I don't need it." He responded with his emotions raw as stone.

I bit the inside of my cheek. "Still, you should strap yourself for safety." I told him as soon he started driving out of the parking lot.

He sighed loudly, obviously annoyed that I was pressuring him to wear it. "I don't care about safety." I huffed in annoyance.

"Fine, if you won't strap yourself. Then I won't strap myself." I unstrapped my seatbelt crossing my arms looking at him angrily.

I don't know why I was worried about him not wearing a seatbelt. It just caused concerns to enter my body when I didn't see him strapping himself. I don't know why even though this would sound really weird even though we just met but if anything happened to him...I felt a pain in my heart when I thought of him being hurt.

"Put your seatbelt on." He demanded. I could hear the coldness in his voice caused shivers down my spine.

"No. You put it on then I'll put it on." I argued, he glanced at me then the road.

Clutching onto the steering wheel tightly. "Put it on." His voice was low and dangerous. I sat there staring at him not doing so. "Put it on!" He growled causing me to slightly flinch but I still stood my ground and didn't let his growl make me fall. "Stubborn." He muttered, strapping his seatbelt while still focusing on the road.

I smiled in victory strapping my own seatbelt. "It doesn't hurt does it?" He glared at the road ahead of us, not bothering to even talk to me. I looked out the window with happiness filling my heart when I saw him strap his seatbelt.

He took a turn into the woods, continuing to drive down the path until he made it to the familiar looking burnt mansion. I looked at him hesitantly when he stopped the car in front of it. "Let's go." He muttered, unstrapping his seatbelt and slipping out.

I sucked in a breath, pressing the button causing the seatbelt to let me go. I opened the door slipping out of the car. Interlocking my hands together as he led the way inside the burnt mansion, shivering just the thought of his family burning in this house as I'm entering it.

As soon as we stepped in, I looked around scanning the place. The paint that had fallen off because of the fire, my heart broke at the sight of inside the house. A family lost their lives here, it hurt me so much thinking of that. And It hurt more knowing that Derek lives here for some reason.

He took me into a room, which I was guessing was the living room there were burnt couches were in it. "Derek..." I trailed, looking around the room before my eyes fell onto his expressionless face.

"Don't." He prevented me from saying anything about the fire and his family.

I swallowed roughly, nodding my head keeping my mouth shut. "Okay. Let's talk about what we came here for then." I told him, taking a seat on the chair, but instantly an uncomfortably feeling found me.

I just stood up from my seat and onto my feet. He nodded his head, walking over picking up a random wooden block onto the ground setting it onto the table. "Focus on this and jerk your hand forward." He demanded, looking at him hesitantly before looking down at the wooden block. "Imagine it's something that could kill you." I sucked in a breath having a staring contest with the wooden block.

I roughly swallowed before jerking my hand forward causing the wooden block to fly and hit the wall causing me to flinch back. "Did- I just..." I forced out in shock.

Derek nodded walking towards me looking down at me. "There is something else you could do." He added, staring deeply into my eyes. "Look me into my eyes. Deeply focus on what you think I've been through." He explained, I gasped when his warm hand touched my arm causing sparks and butterflies to fly around me.

I looked deeply into his beautiful perfect eyes. With an instant flashes from the fire of this mansion came into my mind, I gasped stumbling back closing my eyes tightly. It broke me to see that. It really did break me into pieces. "You discover others past just by wanting to know what happened to them in the past. You can heal those who are on the verge of dying." He explained, causing me to bite down onto my lip.

"What am I?" I muttered, staring up at him.

He looked back down at me. "I don't know yet. I'm still trying to find out. All I know is your instinct is to protect werewolves. Heal them. Get warning signs if they are in trouble."

I slowly stepped back, wrapping my arms around me. "I don't know if you feel this too but every time you touch me ever since the first time I saw you or you touched me I've felt sparks. What is it?" I asked, his face fell as he looked down at me.

"When the time is right. I'll tell you." He revealed, I nodded letting it go causing his face to turn into relief.

I played with my hand, freeing when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. Slipping it out and looking down at my phone to see Scott calling. "Hello." I answered, turning my back to Derek.

"Where are you? Stiles and I are looking all over for you." Scott asked, worriedly.

I put my hand on my neck, glancing at Derek with my lips in a line. "I got.." I paused for a second staring at Derek who was staring at me with his arms crossed. "Caught up in something." I finished, turning my back to him once again. "I'll be home in a few." I informed him.

"Next time you leave. Tell me where you're going. You almost made me panic." I rolled my eyes at my protective brother.

"Whatever you say, mom."

"Mom? I'm far from mom."

"Sure you are. I need to go."

"Whatever. Bye."

I smiled, ending the phone call and turning to Derek, awkwardly staring at him with my cheek latched onto my teeth. "I guess I should get going." I told him awkwardly.

He stuffed his hands into his pocket. "I'll take you." He said, turning around and walking away before I could say anything.

I took a few glances at the place one more time, before picking up my purse and walking to the same direction he left. Stepping out of the burnt mansion and walking away from it towards Derek's car.

My eyes landed on a shovel on the ground, glancing at it then slipping inside the passenger side. I strapped my seatbelt, watching him as he did the same with his causing a secret smile to form onto my face as he started the car and drove off out of the woods.

"I appreciate you helping me and my brother out." I spoke up, breaking the silence not wanting it to be like the first time he took me home.

He continued to focus on the road not bothering to look at me. "I have to." I nodded my head, looking out the window.

"Life is rough." I said out of nowhere, staring out the window watching the birds fly freely. "I used to always want to be a bird flying without any problems in your life and being care free. But then again sometimes birds get locked into a cage without freedom and problems. I guess there isn't a difference between humans and birds after all." I rambled not realizing I could have annoyed Derek.

I looked over to see Derek staring back at me with an expression on his face. "Everything in this world has problems." He said, staring back at the road.

I couldn't help but agree with him.

********************

I threw my bag onto my bed, throwing myself down. After Derek and I talking about problems in life, we were silent the whole car ride. I cupped my face closing my eyes tiredly. "Ugh!" I groaned, sitting up forcefully and walking to Scott's room tiredly. "Scott. I've discovered something." I said, barging into his room not caring to knock.

He looked over at me worriedly. "What?" He asked, swallowing roughly in a concern.

"Okay. So...Derek found something about what I'm capable of." Scott's face turned to stone as soon as I said Derek's name obviously he doesn't trust nor like the guy. "Anyways, watch this." I quickly cut him off.

Jerking my hand towards him and instantly his head turned the other way. "What the hell!?" Scott exclaimed, holding his cheek. Perhaps I slapped him.

"Yep, I know." I clapped my hands together. "Stand up." I ordered him, he stood up. "Try to attack me." He scrunched his face up in disbelief.

"What!?" He questioned, in disbelief. "I'm not going to attack you." I rolled my eyes.

"Just do it." I demanded. He sighed, finally giving into my demands.

He charged towards me but my hands jerked over sending him flying to the wall and instantly a groan escaped his lips causing me to gasp and run towards him. "I'm sorry." I apologized, helping him off the ground.

"The hurt." He groaned, rubbing his back. "Is that all?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I have two more things." I answered shortly.

"Are you going to send me to the wall again?" He questioned, hesitantly.

I chuckled shaking my head. "No. Not at all." I reassured him. "But, I can see others pasts and also heal dying werewolves." He looked at me impressed. I smirked at him. "I'm guessing I'm a healer." I suggested, Scott put his lips in a line nodding his head.

"Possibly."

"Derek is still trying to find out what I am." Scott's face dropped at Derek's name but didn't say anything at all.

**********************

Scott and I were both video chatting with Stiles. My legs were crossed on the desktop chair while listening and scrolling down my phone at messages that had recently been sent to me. We already informed Stiles everything about me and now we have changed the subject to Jackson.

"What'd you find out?" Scott asked, as I glanced at the computer screen before looking back at my phone.

"Oh it's bad. Jackson has a separated shoulder." He revealed, causing me to look up from my phone with my eyebrows shot up in surprise.

Scott glanced over at me then looked back at Stiles' face on the computer screen. "Because of me?" Scott asked, feeling guilty about this whole situation. I sat up locking my phone setting it onto the table, turning my attention to my brother.

"It's not your fault you lost control and it was probably because he's a tool." I tried making him feel better adding a little smile to my face.

Scott looked back at Stiles. "But is he gonna play?"

Stiles let out a sigh. "Well, they don't know yet." He answered with all honesty. "Now they're just counting on you for Saturday." I sighed knowing that isn't a good idea. Because of Scott loses control every student on that field is in danger including himself.

I furrowed my brows in confusion when I watched Stiles lean closer as his eyes narrowed. "What?" Scott and I both asked him at the same time.
