"Okay, so what can I do to help?" I ask,
"Hm. You can help by putting the newspaper's in the basket!" Billy say's. I nod, immediately getting to work. Billy helping out, as well. We grab the newspaper's, putting them in the basket.
We almost finished, only three newspaper's left. I reach out for one of the newspaper, not noticing that Billy was reaching for the same one. Both of our hands touching, slightly. We both gasp, and immediately scoot away from each other. (Sorry, everyone! Im trying to not make this cringe, somehow! 🥹 I'm trying my best!)
"SORRY!!"
"SORRY, MISS!"
"No! It's not your fault! It's my fault!" We both yell, in sync.
"You can get that newspaper!" We both say, at the same time.
"....I-I'll just get the newspaper." Billy say's,
"Yup!" I say, awkwardly. I grab the last two newspaper's, and put them in the basket. We both then just stand there, not saying a word.
"Sorry, miss-"
"It's okay! Uhm, what now?" I ask, not getting a response. I look up, confused. And just see Billy standing there, just staring at me.
"Billy!!"
"Woah!! Y-ya? Sorry!"
"It's alright....what next?"
"Now we deliver the newspaper's." He says, smiling. I nod. He gets on his bike, and look's at me.
"Well, are you gonna hop on and help me deliver all these newspapers? Or just stand there, and stare? " Billy say's, laughing a bit. I blink, and quickly get in the back of his bike.
"SORRY!"
"Don't worry about it, Miss. Alright, Rover. Let's go, boy!" Billy says, beginning to pedal. Rover barks, and follows.
____
Billy has been giving each house a newspaper, almost finishing the pile.
"Alright, this house is next. You wanna try to throw the newspaper this time, Miss?" Billy ask's,

"W-what? Me?? What if I don't throw it good?"
"Not possible. Here, throw it." He replies, handing me a newspaper.
"I-"
"Go for it. You got this." He say's, nodding. I nod, and throw the newspaper. Making it to the house's front yard.
"I did it!!"
"You did it!!" Billy yell's. I smile, and lay my head on his back.
"Well, that's it. Uhm....do you want me to take you back home?"
"Yes, please." He nods, and continues to pedal.
"It's pretty when it's nighttime." I whisper.
"Hm?"
"Nighttime!! It's pretty. Like, the sky, the moon, the star's? It's all pretty."
"Oh! Yaa, it is. I don't really know how it look's like at night, so I was confused."
"WAIT- what do you mean you don't know how it looks like at night??" I ask.
"Usually, when I finish with delivering newspaper's, school, and homework. I always just rest after, for the rest of the day. Then repeat, all over again." He explains,
"SERIOUSLY?!"
"Yupp. I love sleeping." I laugh,
"Okay, we're almost there." Billy say's, i nod.
"I've got something to say." I blurt out.
"What is it?" Billy replied, focusing on the road.
"Nothing crazy. Just wanted to say that you seem cool. You're someone fun to hang out with. Kinda happy we're talking to each other, right now. I've always wanted to talk with you! That's the reason I always get up in the morning. To see you. To talk to you. BUT I GET TOO NERVOUS TO DO SO! Anyways- this is random! Sorry." I say, looking down. Billy not saying a word.
"Hey, you good??" Billy then begins to loose control of his bike.
"WOAH! BILLY!! You alright?!" I yell, panicked. He looses control completely, causing both of us to fall off.

"OH SHI- OW!"
"Wha? Oh! Y/n! Sorry! Sorry!" He says, immediately helping me get up. I stare at him shocked, then begin to laugh.
"That was so random!"
"I- sorry, I just got nervous." He say's, looking down.
"You're good." He looks up at me, and nods. Both of us no longer saying a word to each other. All of a sudden, we both just burst out laughing.
"Well, I should get going now." Billy say's.
"Yaa. It's getting really late." He smile's, and nods.
"Thanks for helping me, today. If it weren't for your help, I'll probably still not even be done."
"No problem!" Billy picks up his bike, getting on. Getting ready to pedal away, till I stop him.
"Hold up!" I say, walking up to him. He look's at me, and I begin to fix up his hair.
"Mm....eh. Good enough." He laugh's, looking away.
"Thanks-? Bye, Miss! Have a good rest of your night!" Billy say's, pedaling away.
"Bye!!" I yell.
"Y/n!! Ain't no way!!" I hear. I turn around, and see Gwen and Finn running towards me.
Well, damn.
"You were hanging out with paper boy, again!!" Finn yell's, following me inside the house.
"No, i was hanging out with a ghost. Of course I was hanging out with him!!" I yell.
"Well, dang! Jeez."
"Y/n has a crushh! Y/n has a crush on paper boy~!!" Gwen tease's.
"No I don't!! Gurl, if you don't stop. I swear....finna get a smack." She laughs, and goes to her room. Finn and I then see the door open, only to reveal dad JUST getting home from work.
"Hey, kids!"
"Hey, dad...." Finn and I say. Dad smile's, and walk's to his room. Finn and I look at each other, relieved.
"Oh we're so lucky he just got home." I whisper to Finn.
"Ya, definitely." He replies, going to his room. I smile, and just sit on the couch. Turning on the TV. I then realize something....
"OH SHOOT MY BIKE!!"
