The Emperor grimaced, but quickly shook it away. He didn't know what was happening. He continued to walk to the Empress' chambers. He wobbled a bit, but kept going. Aiko put a hand on his chest. "It's fine, you can put me down. I can manage to walk by myself." Aiko said, trying to act like her usual self, even though her eyes were still glazed, tired. "I don't even want to be carried by you," she added.

The Emperor shook his head, which caused an immense wave of nausea to drown him. "If I let you go now, you will probably collapse and hurt." Aiko felt a blush of indignation cover her face.

The corridors started to become familiar. The beautiful doors of the Emperor's chambers and the two guards in front of them soon appeared. The guards started moving to let the Emperor enter but he just steered right and headed to another corridor Aiko had never seen before.

"Your chambers are extremely close to mine. You can visit me when ever you want." He said, his tone taunting. His stomach churned and he grimaced for a second.

Aiko snorted. "I would never. "

Sunlight streamed through the open screen doors.
