He was perfect. His expressive eyes, his wide smile and his competitiveness are one of the things that you admired about him. You couldn't be lucky enough when he asked you to help him on one of his assignment and with that, you two became best friends.

Best friend. You know that you liked him more than that. You have no choice but to pretend that you don't feel anything for him because you don't want to ruin your relationship with him.

"Y/n, we have a practice, you don't have to wait for me" he said, putting his arms on your shoulder; shaking you a little.

"I can wait, I don't have anything to do at the house anyway" you shrugged.

He shook his head in disapproval, "This will seriously take long, I'll bring you home first"

This is the reason why you liked him, he always cared, he knew every single detail about you. He knows when you're already tired and he knows when you're not yourself.

"There goes the lover boy again" his friend Jungwoo teased.

"Shut up, she's my best friend" he hissed giving a middle finger on his friend as a joke.

That is the reason why you don't confess, every time his friends tease you with him, he would shove it off like he doesn't want it to happen.

You smiled at his friends slightly waving before you head out of the gate with him.

"I heard the practice for the cheerleading is today as well"

"Yeah, we'll share the field with them" he said paying no attention on what the two of you are talking about.

"I heard there are new members, I should've joined for this year as well" you sighed in annoyance. Because of your injury last year, he told you not to join this year's cheerleading and since you're whipped, you followed.

He said he doesn't know much about it and went straight back to school after he dropped you off because he's thirty minutes late already.

The next morning, he texted you that he wasn't able to walk to school with you because of his morning practice and you said that it's all good.

When you entered the school, a lot of people are already there, it is the annual soccer general practice so you don't have any classes and you were assigned for the designs and stuff.

You went to the field and only found Mark on the bench.

"Where's everyone?" you asked, sitting next to him.

"They're probably looking over the cheerleaders over there" he said while pointing out the other side of the field with the boys in there.

"Why? Did something happened?" you curiously asked.

"No, but I think Yuta likes the new girl and they were teasing him to her right now" he said while grabbing his phone.

The words repeated on your head, the new girl. The both of you were just talking about that before you went home.

You walked with Mark who was heading to the boys as well.

"Hey! Y/n check this out!" Johnny excitedly said while putting the phone near your face.

It's a video of Yuta giving water to a beautiful girl. She definitely looked new, because you haven't seen her before.

"Oh, who is she?" you faked a smile.

"We don't know. Yuta's new chick probably" Doyoung replied.

You locked your eyes with Yuta and he's with the girl. He waved at you and he smiled, the eye contact didn't last long because the girl started talking to him again.

"I guess I lost my chance" you whispered, not enough for anyone to hear.
