you knocked twice on the wooden door of jeno's house. you were a bit impatient, there was something that you were dying to discuss with your boyfriend. you waited, and then knocked once again a bit louder than before. the door opened, and there stood jeno's mother with a pleasant smile on her face. she was a woman of about forty with long black hair and an eye smile that was identical to her son's.
"good morning, mrs. lee," you greeted her, bowing politely. "hello sweetie, how many times do i have to tell you, just call me mom." she spoke as she guided you inside the house. the house smelled of coffee and freshly baked muffins.
"you've been dating my son for so long that you should be used to should be used to calling me that," she continued, "i'm sure you're here to see jeno, right?"
you nodded and took at seat and the dining table in the kitchen as she hurried to take the muffins out of the oven. "he's just upstairs," she paused for a moment and then called out, "jeno! y/n's here to see you!"
after a momentary pause, jeno replied, "i'm getting out of the shower!"
you smiled at the sound of his voice. jeno's mother turned to you with a knowing look as if asking, why are you still seated there? "go ahead, y/n i'm sure won't see anything you haven't already seen." she teased. you blushed lightly and headed upstairs.
within the past year, your relationship with jeno has become quite serious. you two often talked about your future together, and you're almost a hundred percent sure that his mother has secretly been planning your wedding for the past few months. you two have been dating for three years now and day by day you've been growing closer, emotionally and...physically. that is, ever since jeno's parents gave you and jeno 'the talk' after the both of you turned eighteen.

since then, his parents have been really chill about the two of you hanging out alone. they even bought jeno a box of condoms after discussing with your parents of course. "better safe, than sorry." they told him. the night he received them he called you, nearly in tears as he laughed about the whole situation.
you entered jeno's room with out even knocking. you can't even remember the last time you knocked on his door. closing the door behind yourself, you spotted your hunk of a boyfriend standing next to the window in a pair and basketball shorts, as he pulled a t-shirt over his head. you rushed over to him, wrapped your arms around his waist and dragged him away from the window.
"yah, you're giving the bystanders a show!" you joked, wrapping your arms around him tighter than before. his shirt wasn't even fully over his head so you were practically hugging his bare torso. jeno chuckled as he pulled his shirt down. you repositioned your arms as he wrapped his muscular arms around your body. you squealed when he lifted you into the air carried you to his bed. he laid you down and hugged you tightly, burying his face in the crook of your neck.
"i missed you baby.." jeno mumbled, his breath tickled your neck and sent a shiver down your spine. you smiled, "get off of me you loser," you placed your hands on his chest and shoved him away while sitting up. he rolled off of you and sat up beside you, placing a hand you your thigh.
"your mom is so embarrassing," you joked as you recalled the moments before you had gone upstairs.
"what did she do this time," jeno asked, fully aware that his mom was slightly embarrassing.
"it's not what she did, but what she implied...do you think that she knows that we're...umm..active?" you questioned.
"active?...oh you mean...does she know that we have sex," jeno said completely unashamed. "of course she does," he chuckled, "you're not exactly quiet." jeno teased.

"yah!" you shouted, pushing his chest back so that he fell onto the bed. you climbed on top of him, straddling his waist and pinned his arms above his head. "you are such a lil' shit," you said, glaring at him playfully.
"i am?" jeno questioned with a smirk on his face. you stuck your tongue out at him and he only moved closer to pretend to bite you. you leaned down and pecked his lips quickly. when you tried to pull away jeno bit your bottom lip.
"ow!" you exclaimed, slapping his thigh lightly.
jeno's smiled melted into a look of seriousness, "babe, wasn't there something that you wanted to tell me? you sounded nervous on the phone earlier."
"oh yeah..." you said still straddling him. "promise you won't freak out?" you asked, holding out your pinky finger. jeno sat up on the edge of the bed, with you still on his lap. he looked at you skeptically but nonetheless intertwined his pinky with yours mumbling a quiet 'i promise'.
you took a deep breath, "my...uh, my period is two and a half weeks late." you said quietly.
"oh, isn't that good? i thought girls hated their periods?" jeno replied obliviously.
"no, i don't think you understand...i could be pregnant." you whispered, avoiding his gaze. jeno eyes widened comically.
"that's impossible though, we've been using protection." he stated.
"i know! i'm just as confused!" you replied.
"don't worry babygirl, we'll figure this out..." jeno said as he gazed lovingly into your eyes and squeezed your thigh in reassurance.
-
you stood awkwardly at the checkout counter with a small box, while jeno reached into his back pocket for his wallet.
"aren't you two a bit too young to be purchasing a pregnancy test?" the convenient store clerk asked as he obviously judged you. his lips twisted into a frown.
"aren't you bit too old to be wearing temporary tattoos," jeno retorted sassily eyeing the poorly done tattoo on the clerk's wrist.
"touché," the clerk replied as he took the money that jeno had placed onto the counter.
-
you sat on the closed toilet seat as you waited the required period of time after taking the pregnancy test. jeno was seated on the floor on the other side of the locked door. he was surfing the internet on his phone for other possible reasons why a girl might miss her period. luckily jeno's mom had gone to work and his father's still hadn't returned home from his business trip, so the house was completely empty.
you were extremely nervous, your hands were sweating and your head hurt. your heart was in your throat, and you felt as if you couldn't breathe.
you heard jeno's phone go off from the other and side of the door and, shuffling as he stood up.
"y/n, the timer's done,"
you stood up and glanced at the little white stick on the marble countertop. you hesitated before taking a closer look. you sighed heavily, and whispered through the door, "jeno...it's negative."
your heard him exhale in relief, "babe open the door," jeno said. you opened it and let him in. he embraced you in tight hug and he rubbed your back comfortingly.
"that was scary." you mumbled into his chest. jeno nodded in agreement.
"i'm sure we'll have kids one day, now is just too soon.."
-
a/n: before you soft stans roast my ass, as of today (april 26, 2019) jeno is 19 years old, which means that he is legally an adult. if you feel uncomfortable reading imagines with mature themes about the 2000 liners (because they're 'stILL bAbiEs') then the only baby here is you.
thank you for coming to my ted talk.
