"By the way Lily, umm I know this is sort of random of me to ask but, what ever did you do to the lilies I used to give you like two years ago? Did you keep them or uh threw them away. I've never really questioned myself what you'd do with them once I left them on your table every morning." Renjun asked as he was over at Lily's place to continue working on their art project. Oh but he wasn't alone. No, no, no, because he brought his younger siblings along with him. He didn't want to at first but Minghao insisted that he'd bring his siblings over. Taking the advantage that his and Lily's father was out of the country for some time.
"Oh I kept them alright. I've never thrown any of them away if that's what you were thinking." His girlfriend replied. This making him release a relieved sigh.
"Do you want to know what I did with them?" Lily getting closer to him as she whispered it in his ears. Their close proximity making his cheeks turn red. He struggles to answer her as the lad only nodded his head a yes.
"Alright then. Follow me." She smiles at him and got up from her seat. Taking his hands and drags him out of the room.
Renjun's younger siblings seeing their brother and his girlfriend leaving the room was oddly confused, they were as well curious. So you know what they did? They decided to trail behind and follow them.
Renjun when feelings as if a bunch of kids were following him, made a stop. He stopped walking which caused Lily to look behind in confusion.
"You three rascals what are you doing following us?" He asks them in irritation. The three kids looking at each other in dismay once they were caught. All three of them flashing their brother an innocent smile.
"We were following you injun." Juyi replies honestly.
"As if that wasn't obvious." Renjun retorted as he rolled his eyes in the process.
"We wanted to know where you and jiejie were going. So we followed you." This time yifan was the one that answered.
"Ya we're going somewhere where kids are not allowed to enter. Shoo, shoo, go away." He tried to kick them off but they refused to do so.
"Injunie don't be like this." Yujin frowns as she tugs on the hem of her brothers shirt.
Renjun could only look at Lily for help. Even she didn't know what to do.
"Hey what's happening here?" Minghao who has just gotten upstairs asked. Seeing everyone crowded and looking at each other.

"They won't let us follow them!" Juyi answers wistfully as he points at his older brother. The older lad looking at the two teenagers as he raised a brow up for them to answer.
"I wanted to show him the lily flowers." His sister replies. Minghao getting the hint as he thinks of a plan to distract the kids.
"How about you three come with me and we could do something more fun? Like baking some brownies, how does that sound? The three of you could be my little assistants. That's more fun then following Lily and Renjun who's going to probably explore the library and do boring things." Minghao's statement making Lily and Renjun throw him a look.
"Ok!" The three kids exclaimed in unison as they all then followed Minghao downstairs.
"Finally they're gone." He groans once him and Lily were alone now. "Sorry about that. They're so nosy." He apologises to her as she shook her head for him to not worry about it.
She then continued to bring him to where she had originally wanted to take him too.
"By the way frog, where are you taking me?" The lad questions her. His curiosity got the best of him and he couldn't help but to ask.
"My mother's office, to which I usually call it her own small sanctuary." She replies. Her answer startling him.
"Uh am I even allowed to enter this room?? You said its your mother's room and- it's probably a special and prohibited room-"
"Shhh Renjun." Lily putting a finger against his lips to quiet him down.
"Yes it is a prohibited room but if people were to enter it, she'd probably wouldn't mind if it were you." Lily reassures him before she stops in front of a closed door. A flower garland hanged on the door to indicate that it was her mother's office. She opens the door and lets herself in. Motioning Renjun to enter the room along with her.
He couldn't help but to let out a gasp when viewing the room. The room was an exact replica of Lily's art room but more, cozy.
"My mother was a painter, actually she was the reason why I even started getting into art. I never really liked drawing or anything related to it, but after her passing. I decided to try it out and eventually fell in love with the concept of it." Lily spoke as she tells Renjun the backstory of how she started getting into art.
"Woah, did she paint all of that?" Renjun asked as he pointed at all the paintings that were displayed in the room.

"She did!" His girlfriend replied enthusiastically when seeing him getting all excited.
"That portrait of a little girl, is that you by any chance?" He said as Lily nodded her head a yes.
"Goodness you looked so adorable. Look at you holding that frog plushie, it was destined for you to have that nickname." Renjun cooes as he pinches Lily's cheeks in adoration. The girl scoffing as she pushes him away.
"Oh yeah my main objective of bringing you here was to show you the lilies that you've given me. They're all still alive, surprisingly. It's all kept in this vase." Lily going over to the glass vase that was beautifully decorated by white lilies and a few pink ones. His eyes widens when he saw them.
"You really did keep them all." Said Renjun.
"I'd show my mother the flowers that you gave me every time I come back from school, and she suggested that I should keep them in a vase so they wouldn't die. Well, they're kept in here because she was the one who's been taking care of them. That is until she left, the maid were the ones who made sure to take care of them as they were her final requests. I didn't really find the significance of these flowers but seeing them still alive until now and being with you, i guess it holds a lot more meaning into it."
The lad couldn't help but to pull her into a hug.
"Thank you for keeping them. Thanks to your mother too for taking care of them of them and cherishing it." He thanks her as a smile was brought upon her face. A genuine smile, that she hasn't showed anyone in ages.
"If my mother was still here, she would've loved you allot. She found you really adorable back then. I swear, she liked you more than her own daughter tsk." Lily stated as a loud blaring laughter escaped Renjun's mouth.
--- ☁️
"Wait why is this actually so good." Renjun heaves as he tried the brownies that Minghao and his three siblings had made.
"That's because we made it!" His siblings cheered in glory, earning a soft awe from the oldest out of the bunch.
"Aigoo Renjun your siblings are all so cute. Can you and Lily like get married or something so they could be my little siblings as well." Minghao wails. The guy was enjoying the kids presence. At this point, he had already claimed them as his own siblings 😭.
"Hao.." Lily pushing her brothers shoulders in embarrassment, not wanting to believe that her brother would just say that.
"What?! You got a problem with that??" Her brother replies back.
"Marry Lily? Yeah I wouldn't mind, but maybe in the future." Said Renjun, catching everyone off guard.
"Renjun!" Lily exclaims bashfully. Her ears slowly turning the colour scarlet. Seeing this gave him an opportunity to tease her.
"You like that idea don't you? Hah, your ears are bright red." Renjun teases. His teasing made Lily's quick reflexes to cover her ears.
"You shut up before I decide to kick you." She tries to threaten him but it didnt work as he continues to tease her. Heck even her brother started to join along as well.
Oh the urge to punch these two guys right now.
...
"Why does the Prince says 'rapunzel, rapunzel let down your hair' to get her attention? Why couldn't he just use a loud speaker to call her." Yifan questions. The couples and the three kids were now currently in Lily's room as she was reading the kids a story. To be a bit more specific; rapunzel.
"I don't think speakers existed at that time. Besides the tower was really high, would rapunzel even be able hear his calling?" Lily replied.
"Why does he need to climb the tower with her hair. Why didn't he just use a ladder like a normal human being. Is he stupid?" Juyi the little six year old complained. (Alright this is definitely Renjun's younger brother).
"Maybe he calls for her hair and climbs it because it's romantic." Yujin tired to reason.
"What's romantic about that?" Renjun spat. His sister glaring at him as he questions her reasoning.
"Why do you have a better alternative to that my dear brother." She said.
"Of course I do. He could've used his shoe and thrown it against the window to catch her attention. Now that's romantic!" He said with so much pride.
"THAT'S NOT ROMANTIC AT ALL!!" Yujin exclaims.
"HOW WOULD YOU KNOW, YOU'RE JUST A LITTLE TEN YEAR OLD KID?!" He didn't fail but to fight back.
Oh geez how did this peaceful story time turned into a debated argument.

renjun actually using his own advice on how to be 'romantic' in the future lol.
