Indigo placed her phone in her pocket as she looked left and right to cross the street. Pulling the door open to Kenji's barbershop, she entered the shop with a slight smile. Everyone looked in her direction as she shyly waved to them.
Putting down her head she walked to the corner where her twin was sitting. "Hey Vi", she greeted cheesing in his face as she wrapped him a hug.
With a slight smile he embraced her as he placed a kiss on her forehead. "You good", he asked as he studied her face. Nodding her head she rested her head on his shoulder.
A comfortable silence came over them as she scrolled through her phone. Seeing a message from Seven she rolled her eyes before deleting it.
It has been a month since they had broken up. Both of them have moved on, well kind of. Sev was still obsessed with her and insisted to call or text her everyday, despite the fact that she never picks up.
Indigo on the other hand is over him and is talking to someone else. Seeing that Sev had commitment issues, it made no sense for her to wait for him to change. You can't make a person change.
Sev liked to eat his cake and have it too. He claimed he misses her and was going to change. But at the same time he's still entertaining other people.
Indigo was shocked out of her thoughts by a loud ringing sound and quickly jacked up as her heart picked up its pace. Her phone fell to the ground with a loud crash causing everyone in the shop to look at her.
Even though Indigo has been getting better concerning her mental health certain things still trigger her PTSD especially loud sounds.
Violet picked up her phone and passed it to an clearly embarrassed Indigo. "You okay for real", he questioned. Nodding her head she checked her screen to see that it was her friends facetime her.
Going to her call log she called her friends back. The phone rang for a second as she tapped her fingers against her lap.
The facetime loaded as both Dess and Ria popped on the screen.
"Heyyy babes", Indigo said as she cheesed at them. Violet poked his head in the camera before Indigo smacked her teeth pushing his head out the camera frame.
Dess waved at her as she installed her wig. "Y'all having a party for your birthday". The twin's birthday was in April which was a few weeks away.
"Ion even know. My TT wants us to have one and I lowkey want one", Indigo said as she twisted a piece of her hair. "You should have one for real, then we can dress up and shit", Dess suggests as flat irons her wig.
"Girl don't no one want a dam party", Violet said as he turned up his lips. Everyone in the call smacked their teeth as Indigo side eyed him
"Nigga no one was even speaking to you", Indigo says as she yanked on his hair. Violet mugged her for a second before going, "See this is why I put your ass in the washer".

Dess belted out into laughter, "Not the washer", she says cackling with Ria. "Akekeke it's not that fucking funny", Indigo said as she rolled her eyes.
"Eww you nasty", Violet exclaims, wiping his face on his sister. She had just licked his face. Indigo was the type of person to start acting weird when she got comfortable around you.
"Bae why that bitch talking bout you on live", Ria said squinting her eyes. "Again. Didn't you beat her up like two times", Dess goes as she lets out a laugh.
"I did. I guess she just likes getting beat up". Indigo fought Mia again two weeks after the first fight. According to Mia, Indigo cheated and the fight was not fair. Indigo of course jumped at the chance to beat her up again.
"Lemme use your phone", she says as she stretches her hand out to him. When he gave her she quickly signed into her instagram before joining Mia's live.
"Well look who joined", Mia says laughing. As Indigo observes the live she can see that her so-called cousin was next to Mia also laughing. She knew Kayla was not shit like the rest of her family, but it still hurt to see her sitting with Kayla.
Tapping on the screen she commented add me before requesting to join. A few seconds later she was added.
"You wanna eat my pussy", Indigo said as she joined clasping her hands together. Everyone in the shop burst into laughter at her statement.
"Huh", Mia goes.
"If you can huh you can hear. You can't keep my name out your mouth so do you want to eat it", Indigo says as she tilts her head to the side.
"Girl don't no one want your loose ass pussy", Mia says rolling her eyes as Kayla laughs.
Squinting her eyes at her Indigo smirks as she goes, "Mia name one person that you didn't fuck". Ria and Dess hold back their laughs as they listen to the live.
"That's exactly why them men were touching on you", Mia snaps. Indigo face dropped for a second before her mug came back on her face. She knew for sure that Kayla told her that.
Just for that she is gonna beat Kayla up and send her mama her nudes. Since we want to be telling other people business.
Her phone was suddenly snached out of her hand. "Bitch what the fuck. What you not gonna do is talk bout my sister past. You don't want me involved in this shit. Ion fight I shoot. Keep ha fucking name out your mouth".
With that he left the live. "Purrr", Dess goes as she swipes her hand under her chin. "I feel like we should jump them", Ria says smirking.
"Nah Kayla is gonna get hers", Indigo nods as she pulls on one of her curls. Indigo and Kayla never got along for absurd reasons. Indigo hates the fact that no matter what Kayla has done to her she will jump to help her with no hesitation.
That was just the type of person Indigo is. Kayla on the other hand is just selfish, she doesn't care about anyone except herself. On top of that she's a jealous person and tends to take out her insecurities on others.

"Y'all wanna go to that party", Dess questioned. "Who party", Indigo asked.
"Zay it's on Valentines", Ria interjected. Shrugging her shoulders Indigo says, "Aight, as long as we leave before 12".
Indigo didn't like being out of the house after midnight. Around that time people tend to have shootings and do extra shit.
Seeing her phone ding she opens her messages to see some from Sev.
I miss you bae
you done with me fr 🥺
Seven please not today✋🏾
Taking a screenshot of the chat she sends it to her groupchat. "Check the chat y'all", she tells her friends.
Reading the messages Dess bursts into laughter, "It's the audacity for me". Shaking her head Ria says, "One thing niggas are never going to run out of is audacity".
Looking at his sister Violet asks, "You gonna get back with him". Pulling on her curls Indigo slowly shakes her head, "I'm done with him for real".
~~~
Indigo slipped on a pair of slippers along with a light sweater before she turned off the light in her room.
Her house was dead quiet seeing that it was around twelve. Her aunt's room was shut with slight snores coming from the room. Tiptoeing down the stairs she gently opened the door. As she was about to exit her house she heard someone clearing their throat.
Slowly turning around she saw Kenji and Violet standing by the kitchen. Bringing a spoon full of cereal to his mouth Violet mocked her saying, "I'm done with him for real".
Rolling her eyes she scolds him saying, "You're not funny", as she shifts her body weight to her right leg. "Not you sneaking out", Kenji says as he walks to the living room.
Smacking her teeth she walks out her house locking the door behind her. A few minutes ago Sev texted her requesting to speak. The only reason she agreed was because he promised her food.
Seeing his car she walked to it attempting to open the passenger seat. Before she could open it, Sev exitted his car opening the door. Mugging him she slightly rolled her as she sat in the seat putting on her seatbelt.
"I love your hair", a slightly squeaky voice said. Turning around Indigo saw a young girl around the age of eight. She looked just live Sev so she knew that was his younger sister.
"Thank you. I like your hair too", Indigo smiles gently at her. Letting out a loud sigh the girl exclaims, "I don't. Sevy did it and he can't do hair right", as she wildly gestured to the two braids on her head.
"I'll fix it for you if you want", Indigo tells her clearly amused, "Your brother can't do anything right". From the corner of her eyes she can see Sev side eyeing her but she paid him no mind.
The girl lets out a giggle before saying, "I'm Eleven. What's your name". Twirling her curl on her finger she responds, "I'm Indigo".
Eleven gasps as her eyes grow wide, "My brother told me about you. He said "you're pretty and you're his girlfriend", the little girl rants. Indigo side eyed Sev before slyly elbowing him.
"I'm not his girlfriend", Indigo says laughing. Eleven narrows her eyes before she turns to her brother, "You lied".
Sev shakes his head saying, "I didn't lie". The girl snaps her head back to Indigo asking, "He said he's not lying".
"Your brother is delusional", Indigo states as she smiles at her.
Sev smacked his teeth before parking the car in front of his mom's house, "Come on Levy", he tells his sister opening the door for her. The girl gives Indigo a hug waving her bye before grabbing her brother's hand as he walks her to the door.
A few minutes later he walked back to the car entering. An awkward silence came over the car before Sev started to speak, "I'm sorry. I should have told you beforehand".
Indigo sat quiet for a minute before gesturing for him to speak again. "So you gonna take me back? I don't want to belong to the streets, I wanna be boo'd up".
Taking a second to process what he said she gently spoke, "I just want to make it clear that you nothing special. I can have another you in a minute".
She continued speaking saying, "I trusted you and you fucked up. There's no coming back from that. How do I know you not going to do the same thing again later".
Taking her hand in his Sev interlocked their pinkies, "I pinky promise", he says looking right in her eyes. Indigo broke eye contact with him turning to the side as her cheeks heated up. She hated the effect he had on her. The way his presence can make her instantly smile.
Looking down on their interlocked pinkies she bit her lip thinking. Pinky promises were her thing. A pinky promise is something that Indigo held high. The minute you break a pinky promise to her, any friendships you have with her is gone.
Growing up her dad will always use pinky promises with her. He never broke one except the very last one that he made, "I promise I'll be with you forever".
Sev knew how important was to her. If he broke it, Sev knows how she would react. She jolted out her thoughts by feeling him softly grab her chin before bringing her into a kiss. After a few seconds she pulled back.
"One chance. That's it".
Kind’s Kiss
MAGIC DOESN'T KILL, NOT BY ITSELF. IT NEEDS A LITTLE HELP. Jessica DeRidder is a substitute teacher and mage in hiding, her daughter Ellen a killer on the run. Their next job lands the mother-daughter team in Hellhole, a small town in the middle of nowhere. All they need to do is their job. For Mom to identify the problem, and for Ellen to... fix it. Easy. Simple. But not this time. The pair find themselves caught in the struggle between the Man-in-White and the Wicked Witch of the West. A mysterious image and the theft of a deadly flower lead the pair to a score of dead prisoners, magical drug dealers, and red-eyed assassins falling from the sky. And somehow it all seems to be related to Ellen's murky past. All Ellen wants to do is do her homework, eat ice cream, and protect her newfound friends (not necessarily in that order). She'll go all-in, guns blazing. But when the smoke clears there may be nothing left but a stranger's past and a lonely future. --- 'Kind's Kiss' is a light, modern-day fantasy, easy on the magic, heavy on the snark. Though complete it is still a work in progress. One reviewer described it as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment or hire a hitman :-)
