Redemption is a fickle thing. Nine detectives and nine serial killers find themselves playing a dangerous survival game of deductions, pretending, and - murder. The main premise and kick of KtJ is that it is a guessing game of sorts. 18 high school students of various ages and backgrounds come together and are given aliases, such as "King", "Killer", or as the protagonist is aptly named - "Protagonist". They do not know each others' identities, and what's more - 9 of them are anonymous detectives, and 9 of them are serial killers. The cast is given a list of their names, and a list of the identities of the serial killers and detectives they are being held hostage with, and are forced to interact to guess the identities. The people who are able to connect all identities will get "a special advantage" in the killing game, but it isn't specified what. Alongside this, each cast member is given three secrets they are able to reveal at any point for an advantage in the killing game as well. It seems that I died while I was playing VR Skyr*m. The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the middle-aged man who called himself The Overlord of Dremora and Dragons. He told me they were releasing Skyr*m: Real-Life Edition. However, you have to be dead first to play it, and I was chosen as a 'beta tester' of sorts. I found myself in a semi-realistic (thanks to mods) world, and I want to have fun and relax for the rest of my life, and maybe get back to Earth. There's just a small *RAWR* problem. Setting: This happens within the world in The Legend of the Fake Hero, specifically two arcs from now. About: I am writing this for fun as a side project. I intend this to be semi-interactive as I will have polls where readers can influence the book's direction. I have the final say because I believe that too many cooks in the kitchen are not a good thing. The plan is to write it in parts that are around 1-2k words. Typically around every 3 to 6 parts, they will be combined into a finalized chapter and re-edited for a smoother read. Release schedule: When I feel like it. I'll be more inclined to write if there is more interaction, both in comments and polls, towards the story. However, I will be focusing on The Legend of the Fake Hero because that is something I own entirely and enjoy. I will try to do consistent uploads. He was held captive by a villain of murderous intent, wearing a sadistic smile. The whole of Class 1A was at the mercy of the villain and Tokoyami had to experience first hand. He was scared to death, scarred for life, but he had to act.This fanfiction shows us the different ways the characters in the story suffers. They all suffered differently. Unfortunately, there will be no major pairings in this story. However, there will be minor fluffs here and there. [Italics = Thoughts Bold = Mostly Dark Shadow's speech (if combined bold and italics, it would be Dark Shadow talking to Tokoyami in his mind.) These types of wording may change sometimes, it may be used as a sound, for emphasis or for a double meaning. Since this is my first fanfic, I would totally love for constructive feedback.
