AUTHOR'S POV

The moment Ishika ran out of the house, Gauri strode towards her grandmother in fury and said more like screech;

"Why you did this? That's why you want me to come here with you? You want me destroy Bhai and Bhabhi beautiful relationship? How can you do that Nani? I told you I was never interested in marrying Ranveer Bhai heck even I call him brother from childhood, we both are brother and sister, and yet you want to break this relation by marrying us?"

"This topic was over months ago right, then why you choose to take this topic again? Why-" Gauri continued yelling at her grandmother, whereas the old lady sat in thinking that how she going to save herself and her family from Ishika's wrath, the amount Mrs. Shashi Sharma, her best friend promised her, how she going to take that.

On other hand after completing conference call with his Dubai's investor, Ranveer walk up to the living room from his backyard. He didn't heard any shouting from inside as he had his earphones on, so he don't know what exactly is happening in his absence.

Ranveer entre the living room looking at his phone without noticing the tensed environment of his house and call out Ishika, but after continuously calling when she didn't replied he put his phone back to his coat inner pocket and move forward, while hearing Ranveer's call Mrs. Nirmala saroha make Gauri quite by blackmailing her and made an innocent and sad face and look towards the entrance.

When Ranveer entre the hall his calm and happy look change in confusion and look around everyone's emotional face.

"Mom where is Ishika? And what happen to you? Why you look so-" Ranveer said but cut off in between by Nirmala saroha;

"Ranveer, my child, that girl... she accused me, said many things to me...-" Nirmala said in fake broken voice and start sobbing in last hope that if this plan work she still can win over everything.

"Did I asked you?" Ranveer look towards Nirmala and asked her in his dead voice which make her loose breath in fear.

"Mom, why are you crying? And where the hell is Ishika?" Ranveer asked again calming his anxiousness.

"She... she .... Ishika... she went ...uh.." ruhi can't able to speak and broke in sob, she herself feeling ashamed of her not been able to protect her daughter from this lady, her guilt is eating her from inside so she can't able to form words.

"Mom what happen? Why are you crying? Please tell me? Where is Ishika? Yesterday only she got into accident, she had to take some rest and also we have to visit the doctor." Ranveer asked his mother again while making her drink a glass of water but she didn't able to form a word and again broke in sobs.

This all was seen by Gauri, she also crying, only if she didn't visit here, but enough of her grandmother's blackmailing, she stood up making her grandmother alert, Nirmala again tried to suppress her granddaughter by showing her eyes but Gauri didn't budge and make Nirmala leave her hand forcefully and strode towards Ranveer and told him everything happen here few minutes back, how Nirmala said bad words regarding Ishika's character, how she accuse Ishika on coming between Ranveer and Gauri, all and all she told him everything.

On hearing everything from Gauri Ranveer's anger took a toll which make shiver ran down from everyone's spine there, but what thing confuse Ranveer was what is the meaning of coming between Ranveer and Gauri? For all he know they both are cousins, and they don't have any intimate relationship, so why she is saying coming in-between them.

Ah! It's so confusing. Ranveer thought.

He look towards his mother asking her the question that is he betrothed with Gauri when she didn't reply him, he understood its true, he is hurt, his own parents hides this big truth from him, the truth which can break his relationship with his Ishika.

But now his main focus was Ishika rather his grandparents promise and shit.

In long strides he stood in front of Nirmala in rage, point his long rough finger towards her and said;

"you know, you commit the biggest sin in this world by hurting my Ishika, and the consequence will be severe, mark my words relative or not, but this house is mine and you have the audacity to come in my house and hurt the queen of this house."

"Pray to whoever the fuck you want for yourself, because if I find a single fucking scratch on even her hair, mind me I will going to kill you with my own bare hands."

"If anything happen to her your whole family is going to face it. Remember that." He complete his words and turn to move but stops in middle and again look at her with cold expression and state;

"Before I came back to the house with Ishika, leave this house and never try to return back, I said never, or else your whole existence will... GOT IT." Ranveer said and yell in last making Nirmala flinch and nod her head frantically. After one glance at her mother in telling her that he is going to find her and make her come back, ruhi nod her head with small smile and Ranveer went out of the house.

ISHIKA'S POV

I finally reached my humble adobe, this one hour drive give me a little peace, and make me understand many things.

Here no one did any mistake, except me but I think it's the time to correct all the mistakes I have done.

"I want to know where he is." I said the moment I dialled Misha.

"Ishika, what happen? Why you want to know where he is now?" she asked.

"Just do the work as I say." I replied and cut the call without hearing her respond. I know I sound rude but that's me.

After entering inside I change my clothes and prepare something for me to eat as I haven't ate anything since morning and the incident back at home make me hungrier.

Leave her Ishu, prepare something I want food.

Obviously, I do a lot of work you know. My mind retort and I shook my head and start preparing something to eat.

After an hour later

I serve the pasta in plate and sat in front of TV with random channel on. After a while my phone rang, I put my plate down and check my phone as who is calling me, its Misha;

"Yes." I said as I pick the call.

"I found him." She replied.

"Impressive. So?" I asked

"He is in Greece." She said.

"Huh? How? What he is doing there?" I asked in annoyance.

"He is actually there for a vacation." She utter.

"Vacation, and from when." I asked again.

"Since your wedding day." She whisper and I closed my eyes controlling my anger.

"Ok, send me his location. Clear all my schedule for at least a three days, and prepare the jet we are flying to Greece tomorrow evening." I state.

"We as in?" she asked

"We as in me and you, who else Misha. We can't let other think what I am up to you know right." I said.

"Okay." She said and I cut the call and smirk evilly thinking no one can save him now, and start eating my pasta.

No Ishu, remember he said that he never had any relation an-.

Oh just shut it Ishu, you only said you will trust him the-.

My thoughts were broke in-between by the knock on the door.

Who might be? I didn't call anyone, even no one know about this place.

I shook my head when I again heard the knocking, I walk up to the door to open it and there stood in all his glory, sorry disheveled Ranveer.

The moment he saw me he took me in his embrace, though he is hugging me tightly but that's okay because I really need this, this is the thing I am longing for quite long without knowing.

his arms around me protecting from this ugly world, telling me that he is my home, the home whose hope is long lost in all these years, the fears I still have in my mind are somewhere blurred by his embrace, his raging heartbeat soothing me, blurring those bitter words of this morning, but don't know why there is still a fear that, is I am doing right or-

"sweetheart" he whispers near my ear making goose bumps erupt on my skin breaking the long chain of my thoughts.

I tried to broke the hug but he pull me up making me jump and wrap my legs around his waist. He make our way inside by closing the door with his long leg. He sat down on the sofa with me on his lap and my legs around his waist.

We sat for some time with my arms wrap around him, my head on his shoulder and his one arm around my waist and other stroking my hairs.

"Sorry, for not being there when you need me." Ranveer said still stroking my hair. I pull out from the hug and look at him.

"It's alright." I said and gave him a small smile.

"sweethea-" he utter but I cut him off;

"Saving me was never your job anyway." I said with a shook of my head.

AUTHOR'S POV

The moment Ishika utter those words, the air around them feels so heavy, it's suffocating them, and there heart is aching, so lost. Inside both of them are shreds and their souls just hurt. Ranveer is hurt because of Ishika's words, and well Ishika is still in healing process.

There was no anger in Ishika's eyes now but a calm, heroic grief, the emotions she fears on showing but in Ranveer's presence she can't able to hide any.

Ranveer didn't said anything, just look intently in Ishika's eyes for sometimes, and suddenly he grabbed her by the throat but didn't choke her. He just kissed her.

He kissed her. Without warning, without permission. Without even deciding to do it, but simply because he couldn't have done anything else. He don't know what else to do at this moment. He needed that breath she was holding. It belonged to him, and he wanted it back.
