"So then the woman showed up at her friends house, she was absolutely fuming- understandable, her boyfriend had just cheated on her- and she just, I've never seen anything like it, just started rushing around the house like she was on crack. I don't know what it's like to take crack, but I would think that was some heavy, heavy crack. You know like the kind where....I don't know, I've never done it. But you know the kind I mean? Just some really strong shit."
For a few seconds the woman just stared back at Delilah, "I'm sorry," Said woman placed her pen down onto her clip board, "I'm just struggling to understand why this specific event made you into- and I quote- 'stone cold bitch.'"
The vampire looked back at her newly hired therapist, "Well it wasn't this specific event, it's just this and a combination of other events."
"Like what?"
Delilah threw her upper body back into the chair and swung her jean covered leg over the other, "Oh! Where do I start? So my birth caused my Nana to have a heart attack, apparently I was early and shocked her when I popped up one day. Then there was the time my parents died in a five when I was five, so never knew them, which left a big old question mark over my identity, you know what I mean? Then my adopted parents hated but loved me at the same time. Then my sister was in an abusive relationship. Then I was addicted to drugs. Then I lost my memory."
Delilah trailed off, leaving the therapist to pick up where she had left off, "Then you got life saving treatment and recruited to be a spy who is now presumed dead to all her family and friends?"
Okay, so Delilah's cover story was a little stupid, but what else was she supposed to say? She couldn't exactly tell the therapist that she'd been attacked by vampires and was now one herself. She was positive she would end up in an asylum if she said that, and she'd seen American Horror Story so there was no way she'd admit to any of that.
"Don't forget that the girl I was in love with left me to go to Italy with her family, which resulted in months of trauma and depression for me...well when I could remember them anyway........ Oh! And there was also that psycho that appeared at my ex but also not ex best friends wedding and threatened to kill her. That bit was before I became a spy."
"....Right." The therapist was already considering admitting Delilah, and that was without the truth. But realistically, Delilah couldn't really say that she was the one that showed up and threatened to kill a bride on her wedding day.
"Do you think I need some help? Like anger management or something? Because apparently I'm a bitch and everyone's lives were better without me. Personally I don't see it, their lives were boring without me. But I'm just here to get a bit of reassurance that I'm right, and then I'll be on my jolly way."

In all seriousness, Delilah George was having a small breakdown. She couldn't handle the fact that since she'd returned to Forks everyone had been depressed. They weren't the people they used to be while they was around her anymore, and in all truth, that secretly made Delilah a little worried.
She wasn't used to not being the most significant part in peoples lives. And if what Leah said was true, that she wasn't even the most significant in Rosalie's life.
"Miss George, you have been here for the past three hours. I have cancelled two other appointments to sit here and listen to you tell the same stories and ask the same questions, time and time again. So I'm afraid that there's nothing more we can do today, and I'll have to schedule you in for Thursday. Otherwise I fear that it'll be me sat in that chair if I listen to you any longer."
Touché.
Now Delilah sat up and placed an arm on her leg and her head on her fist, "Doctor Collins, are you even a qualified therapist? Because I'm sure the medical board wouldn't be happy to hear you talking to a patient like that."
Delilah had watched Grey's Anatomy and knew that a medical board existed, so she decided to put her knowledge to the test.
Dr. Collins looked quite shocked for a second, almost as if she couldn't believe she'd spoke to one of her patients that way. That was only because she hadn't spoken to her in that way, it was Delilah manipulating her words after all. Sometimes life just needed a bit of excitement, especially when it was destined to last forever.
"Miss George, I am so sorry. I'm not sure what came over me. I just-"
"-Don't worry about it, this session for free would be sufficient enough apology."
"Oh.....I-"
"-Thanks for the session, Doc, it really helped you know. I'll be on my way now."
"Miss George!" The doctor started to shout after the vampire as she started to walk out of the room, "You still need to pay!"
"I'm so sorry!" Delilah shouted back, "I can't hear you!"
"Miss George!"
"Thank you so much, Doc, you really helped me decide what I'm gonna do now!"
And with that Delilah George had left the building, leaving poor old Doctor Collins stood wondering where the girl had gone.
Of course Delilah felt bad about manipulating the women to say those things, but at the end of the day it's just what Doctor Collins was thinking. However, it said a lot about Delilah. Life was so boring in Forks that she'd resulted to hurting that sweet lady who had done nothing but listen to Delilah for the past three hours.
But oh well, there had to be some casualties on the way to success.
Delilah pulled her phone out of her pocket, dialling the one persons number that she knew she would always be significant in her life.

Kathryn Blake was a vampire that Delilah had met during her time with the Volturi, however Kathryn wasn't a member, she was just someone that knew a lot about everyone, very much like Delilah. Which is why she was involved in the Volturi, because Kathryn had the gift of being a bitch- she didn't really, but Delilah just liked to say she did- which meant anything that Kathryn found out, she would tell the Volturi. Mainly because she enjoyed it, but also because it kept her in their favour.
Kathryn was a small girl, she was quite pretty, in fact Delilah had a small crush on her when they first met. However, Delilah was in love with Rosalie at that point, so she never made a move. Besides, Kathryn and Delilah were far too similar for it to ever work out.
"Hey, where are you?"
"Nowhere, where are you?"
"Soon to be wherever you are."
"I'm not telling you where I am."
"That's fine." Delilah moved the phone away from her ear, "You have find my iPhone on." A few clicks later, Delilah placed the phone back to her ear, "You're in the same state, Kathy, are you stalking me?"
"Ew, don't call me that. And no, I'm just.... visiting the local area."
"Which means you want info on the Cullens."
"How would I get info on the Cullens from Seattle, I'm not even near."
Delilah hummed, she knew why Kathryn was there, and she was actually rather offended that she was stealing her job as Cullen informant. "Whatever, I don't care. I'm on my way to you."
Obviously it didn't take long for Delilah to arrive at the house Kathryn was in, it was arguably the biggest in the area, and the glass window that ran along the whole front of the house implied that Kathryn wanted people to know she was here.
Brave for a vampire that was hated by so many.
"Honey, I'm home." It wasn't hard for Delilah to get into the gated house, although that was probably because Kathryn let her in.
"I'm upstairs!"
Upstairs. How very vague. All Delilah could see as she walked up the stairs was door after door, which room was it?
Finally Delilah walked into the end room, a rather old looking study which didn't exactly go with the modern decor of the rest of the house.
"This house has been in my family for generations. I took it upon myself to modernise it, but I couldn't bring myself to ruin this room."
Ruin was the correct word to use, Delilah much preferred the older decorations. They spoke to her soul she claimed.
"It's nice."
"You don't like it."
"I didn't say that."
"But you thought it."
Kathryn had no gift, but Delilah often wondered how she knew so much. When they first met Delilah was convinced there was some mind reading in her, but apparently not.
"Whatever, if you like it then it's fine."
"Well I don't."
"Well then neither do I."
"I knew it." Kathryn placed her arms on the desk, seeming to be deep in her thoughts until she spoke again, "I know why you're here."
"No you don't."
"Obviously I do."
"Tell me then, why am I here?"
Kathryn smirked, "You're going back."
She was good, Delilah would give her that. But Delilah herself wasn't even sure if she was going back, so how would Kathryn know? "I'm not."
"Yes you are. Deep down you know you are. That's where you belong, Delilah, it's where you're you."
If 'you' was a stone cold bitch that killed for fun, then she did belong there. But could 'you' be the girl that was madly in love with Rosalie Hale ,and ran away to spend their life together in a French countryside picking strawberries for fun?
The brunette wasn't quite sure.
"How do you know that's where I belong?"
"Because you're like them. You don't fit in with the Cullens and you know it. You can never be what they want you to be. We both know that." Maybe Kathryn was right, they were too tame for her, "Besides, what's the point in becoming immortal and then spending the rest of your life in school?"
"Well, who doesn't love school?"
"Me." Good point.
"Well that's you, I might quite like it."
"You don't." She was right, Delilah didn't. "You're bored with them, and you know it You cant pretend to be someone you aren't for the rest of forever."
"But I love Rosalie."
"Remember what she did to you?" Obviously she did, how could Delilah forget? "She left you alone in those woods, crying your-"
"-That wasn't Rosalie." She couldn't help but be defensive, no one could bad mouth Rosalie expect for her.
"Who was it then, Delilah? Because people don't change overnight, and that wasn't all that long ago."
Delilah was done with this conversation. Mainly because she knew a part of her agreed.
"Whatever, I'm-"
"I'm going back to Italy in a few days, when you realise I'm right, which you will, you can come with me."
Fuck.
What was Delilah supposed to do?
I'm not really happy with this, idk it just feels so messy. but here it is, my poor baby.

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!

The Epiphany Colony
Brad Asher has been a private detective on the Epiphany Colony orbiting Mars for about a year before stumbling into a conspiracy that threatens the safety and stability of the colony. Note that the story here is the first draft and has a lot of ideas, characters, and plotlines that I ended up dropping in the final version that I released here currently available on Kindle Unlimited. The entire second half was restructured, as I ended up not being satisfied with some of the things that I introduced and felt like it had strayed too far from my initial vision of a space-based detective noir story.
