《He Saved Me》Chapter fourty three

I woke up in Masons arms. I actually got some sleep last night.

I change out of his clothes, pulling a white t-shirt and a blue denim skirt on. I grab a belt, some boots and my purse.

I do my makeup quickly and pull my hair into a half up, half down hairstyle, not having time to do anything else to it.

"Mason, you need to get up" I leave a quick kiss on his lips, feeling arms around my waist.

"Come join me" He smirks before pulling me to straddle him.

"Mason" I shriek. "We have school" I giggle, tracing his neckline.

"So later?" He opens one eye.

"I did not realize you were wearing that" His pupils dilate.

"Shut up. Get dressed, I'll get you coffee" I laugh, getting off him.

"You're no fun" He squeezes my waist, causing me to squirm.

"I hate it when you do that" I whine, taking the steps one at a time.

I pour the both of us some coffee and bring the cups upstairs.

"Here you go Mas" I put it on the sink.

"Thank you" He kisses my cheek.

I sit on his bed, waiting for him to be done.

I look up from my phone, feeling his eyes on me. "What?"

"I really like that outfit on you" He kisses me.

"Why thank you. Its all I could find. I must have left these here before" I shrug, picking up my bag.

"Well it looks amazing on you" His eyes rack my body, hungrily.

"Well someones a little eager" I chuckle.

"It's not my fault you got me excited at the crack of dawn" He smirks.

"Well doesn't that just suck" I smirk back at him.

"Ouch. I'm going to get you back for that" He winks, grabbing his bag.

"Yeah sure" I laugh, grabbing my purse and keys.

"I am. And I'm driving" He runs his hand through his hair.

God I love that.

"I'm taking my car. I have work after school" I yawn.

"Okay, I'll meet you at school then" He kisses my cheek, getting into his car.

I get into mine and speed off, not wanting to be late.

I make it just in time to talk to my friends for a couple minutes before class starts.

"Hey guys" I smile.

"Hey, where is your boy?" Christine asks.

"He was right behind me" I unlock my locker, grabbing my books from it.

"There he is" Ellie leans into Brooks.

Mason strolls into the school looking hot as ever.

That man could definitely model if his football career doesn't work out.

"Hey, ready for class?" He asks just as the bell rings.

"Do I have to?" I groan.

"No, you can skip" He takes his sunglasses off his face.

"Hahaha" I roll my eyes, starting my walk to class.

"I'll see you at lunch, okay?" Mason kisses me.

"Yeah" I kiss his cheek and walk into class.

I hear snickering and see Patrick.

Oh, God no.

"I'll see you at lunch, okay?" Patdįck tries to kiss my cheek.

"Hey, back off" Aiden places a hand on his chest.

"Yeah, Pat-" His friend starts. "Don't start with me Adam" He sneers.

"Sit with me today and lunch" He winks at me, causing chills on my body.

"Come on. Ignore him" Aiden nods to our seats.

I try and ignore Patrick's stare throughout all class.

"Le, are you okay?" Ellie asks, a frown on her face.

"Yeah, yeah I'm great" I shake my head, knowing that Masons in my next class.

We walk into the class and Aiden walks over to Mason, whispering something in his ear.

His eyebrows furrow and a frown sets on his face.

He takes long strides towards me, wrapping a protective arm around my waist.

"Don't listen to him. He's a shįt face. I got you" He whispers in my ear.

I instantly feel safe, not even feeling Patricks stares anymore.

Gym goes on like normal. Mason sticks with me and class goes by fast.

AP English and PE are luckily my only classes with Patrick.

"I'll get come get you at Spanish. Okay?" Mason hands me my bag.

I nod, placing the bag on my back.

"Thank you" I give him a quick hug and continue to AP psych. My absolute favorite class.

Lunch comes by fast and I sit in class, waiting for Mason.

"Hey, you ready?" Patrick comes in with a smirk.

"Um, what are you doing here?" I adjust my backpack strap.

"You're sitting with me today. Remember?" He grabs my arm.

"Get your hands off me. You have no right" I rip my arm out of his grasp, feeling confident.

"With an outfit like that, anyone could do anything. You're provoking them" He says cooly.

"Sorry I'm late, Murphy was giving me shįt" Mason runs his hand through his hair.

"You're absolutely disgusting Patrick" I roll my eyes, pushing past him, towards Mason.

"What the fück are you doing here?" He stands in front of me.

"Leah's sitting with me today" He holds his hand out.

"No she's not" Mason crosses his arms.

"How do you feel about that outfit Mason? How do you feel, knowing your girlfriend is wearing that?" He asks, a smug grin on his face.

"She can wear whatever the hęll she wants. I think it looks good on her. Why do you care?" He raises his voice.

"So you don't care that she could get raped wearing that? Its very provoking. She's basically asking for it" He chuckles.

Masons fist clenches, his muscles bulging and jaw clenched.

"Mason" I grab his arm.

"Asking for it? Go fück yourself man. No girl ever asks for that, no girl should ever get blamed for being raped. You are something else. You're really something fücking else" Mason seethes.

"Can we just go?" I whimper.

"Wow Mason, I would of thought you felt a different way. That's disappointing" He sighs, walking out of the room.

"M-Mason?" I ask him. "Look at me, please" I grab his hand.

He turns around, eyes softening when they find mine.

"Please don't let him get to you. Please" I smooth his shirt out.

"Leah, that shįt is disgusting" He pulls at his hair.

"I know, I know it is. I told him that. But, he's not going to change" I sigh.

"I'm sorry" I groan, the frown still on Masons face.

"What are you sorry for?" Mason looks at me, confusion all over his face.

"I should have left when he came in. Now you're all upset" I shake my head.

"No, babe, shhh. You didn't do anything wrong. I promise. Come here" He pulls me into a hug.

"Can we just go to lunch?" I pull my skirt down, feeling self conscious.

"Leah, you look good. Stop" Mason kisses my cheek, interlocking our hands.

We walk into the lunch room, all eyes on us like usual.

I've gotten a little more used to the attention, I still hate it though. Its what you have to deal with, dating the golden boy.

"Are you hungry?" Mason asks as we sit down.

"No, I'm okay" I give him a small smile.

"I'll get a panini, you can have some" He rubs my arm.

"Okay" I smile as he walks away.

"I hate this school" I groan, placing my face in my hands.

"What happened to her?" Tim sits down next to Daniella.

"Shut up Tim. What happened Le? You've been off almost all day" Ellie asks.

"Fücking Patrick" I mumble, picking at the top on my water bottle.

"I hate that guy. He's always been a dįck" Richie rolls his eyes.

"Don't say anything to Mason please" I stress, seeing him walking toward the table.

"Why not?" Daniella asks.

"Please, just don't" I rush out, giving him a tightlipped smile.

Shįt.

"Whats going on?" Mason places his tray on the table.

"Nothing" I laugh, leaning into him.

'Not a word' I mouth.

"Somethings up. Aiden?" He turns to Aiden.

"No clue man, sorry" He shrugs.

"Leah, want to tell me whats going on?" He smirks, pulling away from me.

"No, eat" I instruct.

"Elizabeth White, what is going on?" He folds his hands on the table.

"You're so dramatic" I fake a laugh.

He's finally in a better mood. I don't want him to get all worked up again.

Ellie pretends to not pay attention.

"Hey, Alexis, did you hear anything they were talking about?" Mason calls to a cheerleader who sits next to us.

"All I hear was Richie saying that he never liked someone. Sorry Mason" She shrugs, turning back to her conversation.

"What? Richie, want to tell me man? Or I'll tell-" Mason smirks.

"Fine, Leah just said how much she hates this school. Thats literally it" He takes a bite of his burger.

"Are you still upset?" He frowns, pushing the food toward me.

"No, I'm okay" I lean back into his chest.

"Leah" He pushes.

"Mason, lets drop it. Please" I pull my skirt down a little more, Masons hand flying out to stop me.

"Don't let what he said get to you. No one, except me, will lay a finger on you and I've made sure of that. I promise" He whispers in my ear, his minty breath making my ear warm. "Now eat"

I grab a fry, putting it in my mouth and slowly chewing.

I'm really not hungry. I just want to go home.

"Can I borrow a hoodie?" I wrap my arms around myself.

"Leah" He gives me a look.

"I'm cold" I frown.

"Fine, but that better be the reason" He kisses me quickly, handing me half a panini and jogging off to his locker.

"Where is he going?" Christine asks.

"To get me a hoodie, I'm cold" I blush.

He walks back in, handing the material to me.

I quickly take a whiff of it, before throwing it over my head.

"You're ruining the cute outfit" Ellie frowns.

"Its for the best" I laugh a little, I can feel Masons frown.

"Can I ask you guys something?" Mason starts.

"No, you can not" I give him a warning smile.

"Now if a single one of you answers yes to this, you can find a new place to eat lunch" Mason turns to them.

What the fück?

"Is rape ever the victims fault?" He continues.

Ellie's eyes bulge, "Did Leah get raped?"

"What? No" I shriek.

"Mason, is this even a real question? Of course it isn't" Ben answers.

There are a bunch of 'no's heard.

"That leads me to my next question. You all saw Leah's outfit, correct?" He says.

I burry my face in my hands.

"Supposedly, she was asking to be raped and I'm a bad boyfriend for allowing her out of the house in that" He fumes.

"What?" Daniella stands up.

"Dani, please. It's not a big deal" I urge her.

"Not a big deal? That is the biggest load of bullshįt. Who said this? Was it him? It was fücking him, wasn't it?" She yells.

"Shh, babe, chill" Tim gives Mason a look.

"What the fück is wrong with that guy?" Brooks scoffs, his eyes settling on Ellie.

She is just staring at her food, looking confused, surprised, annoyed and hurt.

Brooks wraps an arm around her, her eyes glossy.

"Le" She looks at me.

"Elle, I'm fine. It's find guys" I laugh.

"Don't do anything you wouldn't want your grandmother to know about" I joke around, trying to figure out what Aiden and Mason are trying to say to each other.

"That's absolutely disgusting" Aiden growls.

"Everyone, chill. Nothing that anyone does is going to change him. He's an ässhole, it's in his nature. Can we please just let it go? I'm fine" I try and reassure them.

I stare at Mason with pleading eyes.

"I'm sorry Le, I can't let it go this time. He's gotta learn a lesson" Mason sighs.

"What? Mason" I grab his hand.

"Elle, can you drive her home? I need to go" He looks at her, avoiding eye contact with me.

"Yeah, of course" She gives him a weird look.

"Mason, stop it" I follow him into the hallway.

"This is what I was trying to avoid. Please, don't. I'm so tired. I'm so tired of all of it. Can't it all just stop? All the stress, its too much. I need you to just calm down. Please, try to stop worrying so much and just be happy"

I run in front of him.

"Leah, I can't let it go. No one should get away with that" He frowns, taking my face in his eyes.

"No, you aren't hearing me. Please" I say, tears blurring my vision.

"Don't cry. Please don't cry baby girl" He wipes a tear that escaped.

"Please Mason, don't do anything. I'm begging you. I-I'm scared" I mumble.

He wraps his arms around me, pulling me close to him.

"Shh, you're safe. I promise. I would never do anything to hurt you. I just need to leave right now" He sighs.

"Can you promise me you won't hurt anyone" I look up at him.

"I can't promise you anything" He shakes his head, kissing my cheek and running out the door.

"Fück"

"What the fück"

"Don't let him do anything, please" I run up to Brooks.

"What?" He looks at me confused.

"I think he's going to fight him" I sigh, looking at Aiden.

"Aiden, I know you're in on this. Please, please don't let him" I grab my bag from the floor.

"I'll do what I can" He sighs.

I rub my temples on my way to my next class, trying to rid my headache.
