"How does it feel?" Mason asks when I walk into his house.

"Its sore" I sigh, sitting on the couch.

I've had my boot off for a week now and just started Physical Therapy.

"I know, I'm sorry baby" He gives me a small smile, handing me some ice.

"Thank you" I pull him to sit down next to me.

"When is your last hockey game?" I lean my head on his shoulder, looking down at my phone.

"Tomorrow, it got moved from Friday" He frowns.

"Oh wow" I say, not knowing it was so close.

"Last game of my high school career. Shįts crazy" He laughs, running his hand up and down my arm. The mixture of the ice and his touch cause goosebumps to cover my body.

"Yeah, wow. You guys killed it this season. Do you think you'll make it to the championship game?" I ask, looking up at Mason.

"I hope so. We got so close last year. It would be great to be able to do it this year" A smile spreads on his face.

"You guys are going to do great. I know it" I kiss his cheek, closing my eyes.

"Do you have any homework?" He asks.

"No, thankfully. I'm exhausted" I laugh, taking the ice off my ankle.

"Take a nap" Mason pulls my hair to one side and plays with it.

"Its okay. I need to go home soon anyways. Bella's probably lonely" I laugh, rubbing my eyes.

"Fair enough" He nods.

"Yeah, I'll go now. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that papers due tomorrow" I whine, placing my head back down.

"Just stay until the 15 minutes to ice your ankle is up" Mason smiles, placing the ice back on it.

"Fine" I whine, replacing his hand with mine.

"Can we watch something?" I ask, getting antsy.

"Yeah, what do you want to watch?" He grabs the remote.

"Can I please finish All American? I'm on the last episode" I look at him through my lashes.

"Leah" He groans.

"I'm sorryyy. I'll stop talking about it after I'm done" I try to reason with him.

"I hate that show" He sighs, pulling Netflix up.

Mason hates All American because everyone on the show is attractive.

"I'm almost done. I promise. Halfway through the episode" I kiss his cheek, hugging him.

"Fine" He frowns playing it.

Leah-1 Mason-0

"What the fück?" I whine at the huge cliffhanger.

"Thats messed up" Mason chuckles, turning the TV off.

"I'm so mad" I huff, walking into the kitchen to pour the ice out.

"How can they just do that? How do they expect me to wait to find out who's kids Dillion is. Billy has to screw everything up" I throw the bag in the garbage, annoyed.

"Calm down, its just a show" Mason laughs, pulling me into a hug.

"I'm going home" I mumble, hugging him back.

"I'll text you when I get home" I kiss him on the cheek.

"Hm, not so fast" He mumbles, placing his lips on mine.

"We are in the kitchen" I laugh, pulling away before things escalate.

"You're too innocent" Mason laughs, a small blush forming on my cheeks.

"Shut up, I am not" I roll my eyes, grabbing a water from the fridge.

"I'll call you later. Say hi to Belle for me"

"I will, bye Mas. I love you"

I make my way to the car just as a convertible rides by.

"Looking good" The man calls.

I roll my eyes, starting the car.

The drive back to the apartment is short and boring.

"Codyyy" I whine opening the door.

"Did you finish?" He laughs at my sour expression.

"Yes, it was so unfair" I whine, taking Bella into my arms.

"Thats what I was saying" Cody nods.

"Alright, well I'm going to bed. I have an early shift in the morning. Night" I hug him, walking to my room.

Sighing I turn the shower on, quickly dialing Masons number.

It rings twice before he picks up.

"Hey" He answers into the phone.

"Hey, I'm home. Just turned the shower on" I shift the phone on my shoulder, getting some clothes out of the drawer.

"Oh good, how was the drive?" He asks.

"It was good. Boring but good" I pull my uniform out, hanging it up.

"Alright, I'm going to shower real quick. I'll text you after" I quickly hang up after his response and get into the shower.

After my shower I get my clothes out for the day. A black denim skirt with a white long sleeve shirt. I pair it with high heeled booties and a brown cardigan.

'I'll pick you up in the morning' Pops up on my screen.

I smile, typing back a response explaining that I have work.

Bella cuddles up next to me, and soon enough I'm pulled into a peaceful darkness.

"Come back bįtch"My father snarls, slowly walking after me.

The sound of my heavy breathing and heart rapidly beating blocks out the shattering of beer bottles.

Heavy knocking startles me. Running towards my chair I put it under the nob, hoping to keep them out.

"I'll ask once, open the door" My mother says, my blood runs cold.

"I-It's jammed" I lie, wanting to disappear.

My phone fumbles in my hand as I struggle to dial 911.

Before I have time to process what is happening my door bursts open and my father comes striding in.

A shriek leaves my mouth at the sudden contact on my arm.

"Just cooperate" My mom throws a punch at me.

I block it, immediately regretting that move.

"You're going to regret that"

"Leah, Leah hey. Wake up, you're okay" I wake up in someones arms.

My hair is stuck to my forehead, chest heaving up and down.

"It's okay" Cody coos, calming me down.

"Another nightmare?" He asks when I'm calmed down.

"Yeah, yeah it was. I'm sorry" I close my eyes, trying to erase the memory.

"Le, you don't need to apologize. Now go back to sleep" Cody smiles, pulling the blanket over me.

Soon I drift off to a calm, more peaceful sleep.

•••••••

I drag myself out of bed, changing into my uniform and packing a bag to change into after work. I quickly curl my hair and do some makeup, attempting to cover my bags from the 2 hours of sleep I got.

Work went by fast and easy. I fix up my makeup before walking through the school doors.

Heads turn my way and whispers are heard about why I'm not with Mason.

'Do you think the broke up?'

'He probably dumped her'

'They were so cute together'

'They didn't break up idiot'

'He's literally at her locker'

'She's such a prude'

'He can do so much better'

I roll my eyes at the insults being thrown at me behind my back.

Mason turns his head at the whispers, staring at me with hungry eyes. They widen a little at my tired state.

"What happened?" He questions, pulling me into a hug.

"Nothing, don't worry about it" I grab his face, leaving a lengthy kiss on his lips.

They want something to talk about? I'll give them something to talk about.

Suck on that bįtches.

"Are you sure nothing happened?" He says, searching my face.

"Yeah, I'm just tired. And they were whispering about me" I run my hand through my hair, placing my books in my locker.

"What were they saying?" He asks, placing his left hand next to my head.

"Oh you know, the normal, 'Mason White with Leah Williams? Oh God no, she's too much of a prude. Mason is gorgeous' I put on a fake high voice, laughing a little.

"You do know that isn't true, right?" His eyes soften as he caresses my cheek.

"Yeah" I give him a small smile.

Sometimes I doubt it. I mean its true.

He's Mason White. The golden boy.

I'm Leah Williams. The lonely nerd.

"I love you Leah, I really do. Don't listen to them. You and I both know that you aren't a prude" He holds my face, staring in my eyes, a small smirk on his face.

"Mason yes I am. I've literally done shįt" I blush, kissing him on the cheek.

"I see some of the clothes you wear. Riskay stuff Le" He jokes.

"We can always change that too" He winks, my cheeks heating up further.

"Shut up. I love you too" I answer his previous statement, not wanting him to think I ignored it.

The bell rings and we go through the school day like normal.

Mason didn't ask any questions as to why the bags under my eyes are bigger than normal, and for that I'm thankful.

"I can't wait to go home and take a nap before your big game" I laugh, leaning into Mason.

"Hm, are you coming over?" Mason smiles, opening my car door for me.

"Only if I can bring Bella" I laugh.

"Of course, she's family" He smiles, sitting in his car.

"I'll meet you at your place" I smile, pulling out of the parking lot.

I quickly run into the apartment and grab Bella.

"I'm going to Masons and then the game. See you later Cod" I call out, not knowing if he's even home.

I get to the Whites house right after Brooks pulls in.

"Hey Brooks" I smile, giving him a hug.

"Hey Le, you look tired" He observes.

"Yeah, I didn't get much sleep last night" I laugh.

"Damn, I'm sorry" He says, pushing the door open.

"It's cool. Means I get to take a nap. I'll see you later" I go into the kitchen to greet Tara and Jim.

After I say hello I run up to Masons room and burry myself in his comforter.

I hear the bathroom door open and a deep chuckle before the bed dips and Masons body joins me.

I roll over, looking at his face.

I take in all the features, his jaw dropping blue eyes, flawless clear skin, the frown line in between his eyebrows, the dimple that appears when he gives me a soft smile.

"What?" He whispers.

"Just looking at whats mine" I smile, placing a kiss on his lips.

"You're fücking adorable" He mumbles, pulling me to his bare chest.

I lay my head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat.

He removes the hair tie that is pulling my hair back, into a lose ponytail.

"Mason" I mumble, struggling to keep my eyes open.

"Shh, just go to sleep baby. I'll wake you up an hour before we have to leave" He whispers, kissing my head before he continues brushing his fingers through my hair.

What did I do to deserve this?

I don't deserve him, not a cell in my body does.

"I don't deserve you" I mumble as I lose consciousness.

Leah has been acting weird all day. Her bags are huge showing the lack of sleep she got last night. She tried covering them but it didn't do much. She still looks amazing.

I know that what everyone was saying this morning at school got to her. She doesn't see how perfect she is. Everyone is so jealous of her, most of the girls were before I was even seen with her.

I love her so much. The way her hair falls over her shoulder, the way she smiles when we are with our friends, how calm and carefree she has been since her parents have been out of the picture. She puts so much trust in me, its the greatest feeling ever. Her laugh is pure music to my ears, especially when I am the cause of it. She always knows what to say or do. My heart melts when she gives me that look, the twinkle in her eyes.

I am snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of her voice, "I don't deserve you".

That is the farthest from true. If anything, I don't deserve her.

After everything I've done, I somehow ended up with this girl. The girl I love more than anything.

I got her.
