"What are you talking about?" My voice sounding a slight panicky.

"You hear me right Edith. Stop pursuing that guy. He's dangerous."

"Because he is dangerous, it gives me even more reason to pursue him. We might not know what he would do to my kingdom."

Eona could only sigh and she put on a defeated look. She knows me better and once I set my mind to something, I will never backed down.

"Are there any way that I could convince you not to pursue him?"

"Not a chance Eona, either you in or you're out."

She gave me one last long sigh, before finally agreeing to me.

"Fine, I'll do what I can to find out more about him."

I feel glad that Eona decide to join us but I also can't help but feel worried. Not just Eona but even my parents.

I extend my arm and give her the biggest hug that I can muster.

"Thank you so much Eona. It's mean a lot to me for you to help us."

"Well what can I do when you're giving me those puppy eyes."

We decide to end the night since it's already past midnight. I've decide to stay for one more day.

It's been quite some time since I met her and I just love to hear her story.

The next day we wake up and have breakfast. I help her to prepare it since I love spending even more time with her.

"How's your sleep?" Eona ask me while she whisk her egg.

"I'm good but a feel slightly drained."

"It's normal considering that this is your first time performing that spell."

We continue our cooking without talking much. It's still early and we didn't feel like talking much.

Somehow I feel comfortable staying in this cottage. Especially with Eona beside me, I wouldn't mind staying longer if it weren't for Nereus.

We finish our cooking and sit to enjoy our breakfast on Eona's couch.

We adjust our seat and start to eat our breakfast.

"So Edith, how are you able to use magic?"

I move my gaze away from my omelette towards Eona.

"I'm not really sure myself but I got this bracelet. Is this bracelet the source of my magic?"

"It isn't possible."

"Would you ever happened to know any case that's similar to mine. Where creatures outside witches and warlocks able to cast spells?""

"I never encounter any incident like this. We might need to some research beforehand."

"Sounds good to me."

"But most importantly, we need to find out about your limitation."

With that in plan, we quickly finish out breakfast and start to work.

Eona make me cast several spells. Starting from body enhancement spell, healing spell, and offensive spell.

Since this is my first time trying to cast it, I'm not able to fully generate its power.

However, no matter how much I tried to cast an offensive spell, it wouldn't manifest itself.

"Eona, is something wrong with me? Why can't I cast even a single offensive spell?"

"You manage to cast every spell perfectly for the exception for offensive spell. That might be your limitation."

"That sounds logical. So what should we do now?"

We sat back down on Eona's couch while she continue to flips on her spell book.

"We've tried every spells that I know so it's time for us to start our research."

"So where do we begin?"

"We certainly won't get any new information by staying here. So we might need to split up for now."

Eona put her book back in its shelf.

"I might need to go travelling from places to places again and contact my other friends."

"Then what should I do?"

"Since you still got five more years to your coronation, why don't you attend an academy?"

"What? Why?"

"You can try to found out more about your power and Nereus. Plus, you still got a whole lot of learning to do."

Eona is right. My whole life have been spent training on how to be a werewolf and a monarch.

Yet not a single lesson on how to cast spells.

"One more thing. You can't tell anyone about your power. Not even your parent. And when you attend the academy you need to lay low."

"Won't my parent be suspicious of me? And how am I supposed to lay low?"

"First of all, tell them that you're doing me a favour and you'll get into the academy with a new identity."

"Ok but which academy will I be attending?"

"You'll be attending Glaxart."

"Glaxart? That Glaxart?"

"How many Glaxart are there?"

I was shocked that I'll be attending Glaxart the academy for talented super naturals.

They have produced lots of talented individuals ranging from witches, warlocks, werewolves, vampires, dragons, etc.

I also heard that their library contains lots of books that have thought to be missing.

Becoming a graduate from Glaxart is like having a golden ticket for life itself. You'll have a guaranteed life.

"Since it's a famous academy, how could I sneak in with a fake identity? They will know immediately that something is off about me."

"Ok let me explain."

Eona proceed to explain that she's a graduate from Glaxart and not just any normal one.

She was considered as a genius by her mentors and they were all so smitten by her talent.

After she graduate, everyone fought for the right to make her their own personal apprentice

However, being a free spirited individual she is, she refuse all of their offers.

Disappointed was an understatement, they try to bribe her by giving them their personal magical items.

Yet, she wasn't swayed and remain true to herself. They finally give up and hand her a scroll.

This scroll contain a recommendation letter. If there were a case where Eona would like to recommend someone, the academy would gladly accept.

"You'll take a three years course in the sorcery department but you could also took another major at the same time."

"I'm planning to enhance my fighting skill so I would probably took the martial arts class too."

During my last ambush in Shadow Ridge pack, I realise how weak I was.

I need to grow even stronger. Moon Goddess hear my wish and she probably blessed me with this power.

However, I need to find out more about my power and its origin.

I help Eona pack her stuffs and we decide to set off on our journey.

Eona will continue her roaming while meeting other witches and warlocks and gather some information about Nereus and my power.

I step myself out from her cottage and preparing to shift so I could arrive faster.

"Edith one more thing."

Eona's words stop my in my track and I take a look back at her.

"Once you arrive at the academy, try to look for Gabriel. You can trust him and he knows of your condition."

"I will."

I took a long pause before taking one last breath.

"Well then, I guess this is goodbye for now?"

"Awww don't worry Edith, we will see each other sooner than you think."

I smile and hug her. Suddenly, I feel the ground around as shaking.

It's the giant centipede that's guarding the place. It look at us for several second before finally shrinking into a normal size centipede.

It crawl its way into one of Eona's backpack.

"Eona, didn't you say that you didn't have any familiar."

"Yeah."

"So why did it follow you?"

"I'm as lost as you are. But I wouldn't mind bring this little buddy along with me."

"Wrong word to describe it. If you call that giant thing little, you're the one who have a messed up head."

She just laugh and ask me to go on ahead.

I shift and surprisingly I can use my hearing and my sense of smell is better than ever.

Giving Eona one last look, I sniff the air trying to smell the scent of my car.

Soon, Eona's presence felt distance before finally disappeared.

It has only been a few minutes since I saw her and yet, I'm already starting to miss her.

"Cry baby."

Sierra's voice filled my head.

"Oh please, you miss her as much as I do."

During my childhood, I would shift and let Eona sit in our back and we would run off together in the hill.

We would run until we reach near the end of the border. One of the royal guard almost caught us but thanks to Eona's magic, we manage to slip.

My parent and her parent always forbid us to play near the border.

It's dangerous and we could end up meeting rogues and catching their attention.

Yet, I feel safe when Eona is present.

After running for quite some time, I finally reach my car.

I hide behind the bushes and quickly change back into my clothes.

My car still remain at the position where I last left it. Once I finished, I get into my car and turn on the engine.

The drive back is painstakingly slow and my mind keep running back and forth about Eona's plan.

I have never attend any academy in my whole life. Private tutors are always called into our manor and they would teach me personally.

Every time that I think back about attending the academy, I can't help but feel nervous.

I've been protected my whole life and living in my own bubble.

But now, I have to burst my bubble and go venture the outside world by myself in a place that is unknown to me.

However, I will do absolutely anything that can safe my kingdom. I can't sit quietly and safely in my castle while my people are in danger.

What's worst is I can't shift during my three years on the academy.

Sierra feels a little bit bummed by this fact but she know how to set her priority.

Before I know it, I arrive at my home. I step out of my car and head straight to the throne room.

During this time of the day, my dad would usually have a meeting there.

"Ok Sierra, here goes nothing."
