《Trolls World Tour: Forever My Queen》Ch.28: Wedding Bells

For nearly a year, I didn't have a place to call home. So, Titus and I traveled from kingdom to kingdom and stayed there for a few months, listening to their music and learning more about their customs. We made so many new friends along the way as well.
During this time, I learned something that might not interest you, but it made me a bit upset. While I was staying with the Rock trolls, I discovered that Katheryn, while she was under our father's possession, had MAJORLY upgraded the Angler bus. Barb told me that now it could fly, and it could also turn into a submarine.
I don't actually know why I was so upset, but whatever. I was just glad I could finally go down to Techno Reef for once without worrying about drowning. The raves down there were exactly how I remembered, except now Trollex was DJing instead of Titus.
Also, do you remember Slick?...Yeah, that one...For those of you who were wondering about what happened to him...don't worry. He's not gonna bother anybody anymore. Thrash, Katheryn, and Barb made sure that he was exiled from Trollstopia for the rest of his life, so we won't be seeing him ever again. Heh!
Anyways, preparations for mine and Titus's wedding-coronation were in full swing! All of the troll leaders, especially Poppy, took the liberty of making sure that everything was ready for the big day. We had originally planned to hold the entire event in SymphonyVille and then travel to Lonesome Flats for the reception. They even let me help set up the venue after rehearsal. When that day finally came, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and every troll shared the same level of happiness as the event grew closer by the second. Everything was running smoothly.
However...there was one tiny problem...
"This is insane! I can't do this!" I cried. Satin and Chenille were trying their best to add the finishing touches to my wedding dress as I swirled around in a panic.
"Your majesty, please hold still!" Satin said.
"We just need to finish your dress!" Chenille echoes her sister.
"What's going on in here?" Poppy asked as she entered the pod. "We need to leave in less than 10 minutes!"
"So sorry, Queen Poppy, it's just-"
"We can't get her to stand still long enough to attach the train to the back of her dress!"
"Roxy, what's wrong?" Poppy asked in a concerned tone. I was sweating buckets and was breathing very heavily.
"I feel sick to my stomach," I squeaked out. "Can't we just call the wedding off? Titus and I have been married for nearly 25 years, so I don't see why a wedding is necessary..."

"No way!" Poppy replied, only hearing half of what I had just said. "This is going to be the happiest day of your life! You can't back out now! Besides, I already started yours and Titus's scrapbook!"
"But-"
"Don't worry," Poppy continued. "The other troll leaders and I have made sure that this day will go down in history as the best. wedding. EVER!"
Although she was trying her best to make me feel better, I don't think she noticed exactly how terrified I was.
"I...I..." I stuttered as my knees started to shake. "I can't..."
Poppy was shocked. "Are you getting cold feet?"
"No! Of course not! It's just..."
"Then why are you trying to back out of this?"
"BECAUSE I'M SCARED!" I shouted at her, immediately covering my mouth with my hands. The entire pod was dead silent for a few minutes while Poppy just stood there, both shocked and heartbroken.
"Roxy..."
"It's alright, Poppy," Essence said as she poked her head into the pod. "I'll take it from here. You go wait outside."
I watched as Poppy slowly turned around and exited the pod with her head hung low. I felt really bad for yelling at her. She was only trying to help.
"Poppy," I tried to call after her.
"I'm sure she knows you didn't mean to yell at her," Essence reassured me. She motioned for me to sit, and I did. As she began to brush my hair, Satin and Chenille quickly squeezed in and attached the train, then they left the pod as well, leaving only Essence and I.
"Hey, Essence?" I asked. I glanced down at my shaking hands, then back up at her reflection in the tall mirror in front of us.
"What's on your mind?" she responded. I took a deep breath and sighed.
"Were you scared when you married Quincy?" I could see her offer me a gentle smile in the reflection of the mirror.
"Absolutely," she chuckled. "It's perfectly normal to be scared. And don't worry, I'm sure Titus is just as nervous as you are. Just take deep breaths, and you'll be fine."
"I just don't understand why a wedding is necessary. We are already married, so why do we have to be "remarried"? Can't we just have a normal coronation?"
"Don't think of this as getting remarried. Just think of this as "renewing your vows" in a way. Besides, don't you want to have a proper wedding?" I watched her put the brush down and start to put my hair up.
"Well, yes, but I thought it would be much smaller and simpler than this. I mean, every troll in Trollstopia is going to be there! You've gotta admit, it's a little nerve-wracking."

As Essence finished putting my hair up in a bun, she reached over and grabbed my veil off a nearby table.
"That's true," she said, continuing the conversation. "But knowing you, you'll do great!" As my hands finally stopped shaking, Essence pinned the veil to the front of my bun. I was so glad that she understood why I was getting so anxious. She was, after all, the only other troll leader who was married.
"Alright, I think we're finished. Stand up, love, and spin around for me." I obeyed, snapping my head around to look at my dress in the mirror. I was so busy worrying that I didn't even pay attention to what the dress looked like.
"You are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen," Essence choked out as she fought back tears. I scoffed.
"Oh stop. Now you're just saying that to make me feel better about myself!" I was only saying that because I didn't want to admit the truth.
"I'm serious," Essence said as she fluffed up my veil a bit. "Titus chose well." I smiled as I looked myself over from head to toe.
Everything that I was wearing was covered in white glitter. My veil draped over my hair and cascaded down my back like a snowy landscape, till it ended just above my waist. I also had another veil, except this one was draped across my shoulders and stopped near the middle of my chest. My wedding dress reached all the way down to the floor and then out a ways, making the bottom ripple like water. The train that Satin and Chenille had attached to the back was thin and billowy, but that only made it look ten times more beautiful. At full length, the train was probably about as long as the dress itself. The two trolls had truly outdone themselves.
My smile faded as doubts began to flood my head again. I stared down at the floor.
"But what if-"
"Don't worry," Essence whispered in my ear. "If you start to feel nervous while walking down the aisle, just stare straight ahead at me, and breathe deeply."
"Okay, I will," I smiled as all of my worries left my mind and I finally began to relax. "Thank you, Essence."
"It's no problem, Roxy." She looked over at the clock on the wall and gasped. "Alright, enough pep talking. We gotta get going now, or else we're gonna be late!" She grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the pod so quickly that I nearly tripped over my skirt.
"Come on! Let's go!" Poppy shouted from the mini angler bus. Barb was lending it to us for the day.
Essence and I quickly jumped into the bus and sat down as Poppy slammed the door shut behind us.
"Poppy, I'm sorry I yelled at you," I told her as she took a seat across from me. She smiled.
"There's no need to apologize. I heard everything," she said sweetly. Then she took a deep breath and shouted out the window. "STEP ON IT, BIGGIE!"
"Right away, Queen Poppy!" I heard a voice call out from the drivers seat. I started to sweat. Did he even know how to drive?
Poppy recognized the look of fear in my eyes. "Don't worry! Barb taught him yesterday!" Yeah...that's reassuring...
I dug my nails into the leather seats as the angler bus jolted forward. We were off!
As we left Pop Village, Poppy rolled up the windows so that I couldn't see outside. I was puzzled. Why would she roll up the windows if I already knew where we were going? Except, we weren't heading towards SymphonyVille.
The angler bus jerked to the right as we traveled away from SymphonyVille and into unknown territory.
"Umm...Poppy?" I asked. "Where are we going?" Poppy laughed.
"To your wedding, silly!" she answered with delight.
"B-But...we're going the wrong way! SymphonyVille is behind us. Where are we going, really?"
"You'll see," Essence said as she smiled down at me. I placed my hands on my forehead and closed my eyes. Now I was even more worried, and I had even started to develop a bit of a headache, too.
After a few minutes had passed, the bus came to a sudden halt.
"We're here!" Biggie shouted.
"Thank you, Biggie!" Poppy shouted back. Suddenly, Essence covered my eyes with a blindfold, and I was plunged into darkness.
"Seriously, guys, what's going on?!" I shrieked. "You're scaring me!"
They didn't answer. I heard Poppy open the door and jump out while Essence grabbed my hand and carefully led me out of the bus. Then, we stopped in our tracks.
"Alright, on the count of three, you can take off the blindfold, okay Roxy?" I heard Poppy say.
"Umm...okay? Why am I blindfolded?" I asked, completely confused.
"One..."
"Can someone please answer my question?"
"Two..."
"Why aren't you listening to me?" I was starting to get angry.
"Three!"
I yanked off the blindfold and threw it on the ground. "Just tell me what in the bloody hell is going-"
My mouth dropped open as I stared in astonishment at what was towering above me. No way...
"Surprise! Welcome home!"
