Tommy and Taylor came in with the first one. It was a girl who was kicking and screaming as she tried to fight away from their grasp. Tommy was carrying her by her arms and threw a hand over her mouth to muffle her screams. Dylan pulled out one of the chairs from the table and placed it down on the other side of the kitchen.
They carried the girl over as she continued to fight to get away. They were soaking wet and caused a trail of puddles to follow them. MY heart grew quicker and I started to dig my nails into my arms to calm myself down.
Dylan ran out of the kitchen and then came back with a bundle of rope. They plopped the girl down in the chair and each held down one of her arms as Dylan tied her down. After, the each held down a leg as Dylan continued to tie her down.
She kept on screaming and it started to cause my ears to ring. Her face had gone red as tears were streaming down her cheeks. Her face was chubby and the rest of her body was the same way. Her long strands of blonde hair were plastered to her face. I would guess that she is in her early thirties.
“Somebody shut her up!” Noah barked.
Tommy went over to the sink and grabbed the towel hanging off of the cupboard. He rolled in up in his hands and shoved it into her mouth and tied it behind her bed. She hung her head down and let her body violently shake as she sobbed.
The door opened again and Jimmy and Gabe walked in. Jimmy’s back was to me as he was carrying the arms of a large man while Gabe had his feet. He must be the woman’s boyfriend or husband. The woman had looked up and started screaming again when she saw him. I gasped when I saw him too. Blood was pouring out of his stomach and his face had gone completely white.
Jared was right behind them holding a knife in his hand. The blade was covered in the man’s blood and I felt sick to think of such a little boy stabbing someone.
“Boys, get him hanging before you ruin my floor,” Jenny told them.
Jimmy and Gabe carried him over to the weird shower thing and dropped him in. They each grabbed one of the hooks and pulled it down. I watched as they hooked each one of them into the man’s leg. His faint moans of pain were almost not audible over the woman’s muffled screams. Gabe grabbed the final rope hanging from the ceiling and began to pull it so that the man’s body was hoisted upside down. The blood from his abdomen started to drip down his face and into the drain below.
“Looks like you will be eating well for a while,” Charles said. “You got a couple of heifers here.”
Jimmy walked over to the table and grabbed one of the towels out of the pile. He wiped his face with it and then dried off his arms as he walked over to me. I could feel my eyes and nose burn as the tears threatened to erupt. I wanted to get out of this house. I didn’t want to watch them kill these people, I never have before.

He reached out for me and I pulled my arms away from him. His face looked hurt and he shot a glance over his shoulder at the man. He reached out from me again, and I tried to back up, but I was already up against the wall. He grabbed one of my wrists and cupped the side of my face with his other hand. He had thrown the towel across his shoulder.
“Remember that I love you,” he whispered to me.
I nodded my head and felt a couple tears roll down my cheeks. Jimmy wiped them away the tears with his fingers and leaned in to kiss me.
“Everything we do is to protect you,” he told me. “I’m always going to keep you safe.”
He leaned in for another kiss before leaving me. I wish he hadn’t left me. He had blocked my view of everything going on.
That woman kept on screaming and I couldn’t stop myself from putting my hands up over my ears. I couldn’t stand to listen to it anymore. It was causing my brain to feel like it was rattling in my skull.
Gabe and Dylan had begun to strip the man’s clothes off. They each had a knife in their hands and were slicing through the material. The woman kept on screaming as she watched.
“Tommy, you didn’t do a good enough job at shutting her up,” Noah told him.
Tommy rolled his eyes and walked across the kitchen back over to the cupboards. I watched as he rifled through the drawers until he pulled out a knife. It was just the typical ones we used at dinner to cut the meat.
He made his way quickly back over to the woman. He raised his fist and slammed it down into her thigh. Her eyes grew huge as she screamed even louder.
“Be quiet!” Tommy snapped at her. “Or I’ll go get more.”
The woman continued to sob, but she didn’t scream. Her body shook as she took in deep breaths to stop herself from screaming from the pain in her thigh.
Why didn’t they just kill her or knock her out? This was even crueler to make her watch. I had to remember that they only want to protect me and do what’s best for me.
“Time to get started,” Gabe said, twisting his lips into a smile. I had to look down onto the floor. “Maybe we should get Julie to do it.”
My heart dropped into my stomach and I felt like I was going to be sick. I looked up at him and realized that it must be obvious to see how uncomfortable I was. My hands were still up over my ears.
“No!” I gasped.
“Jimmy,” Charles said sternly to him.
He nodded his head and walked back over towards me. I held my arms up against his chest. I shook my head as he came closer to me.
“Julie,” he told me soothingly.
“No,” I kept telling him. “No. Please don’t.”
He reached out and grabbed my arms and pulled me in front of him. I tried to fight to get out of his grip, but he just held me closer to his chest.
“Juliet, please be a good girl for me,” he whispered into my ear.
Everyone was so proud of Jimmy for how quickly he had got me settled into the family. If I act out now, he’s going to be disappointed in me and he’ll punish me for sure.

I let him guide me in front of the man. They had cut all of his clothes off of him and he was hanging there naked. Gabe held out the knife towards me. Jimmy let go of one of my wrists so he could grab the knife and shove it into my hand. He covered my hand with his and guided the blade up to the man’s throat. My eyes were brimmed with tears and I couldn’t stop my body from shaking.
“This is easy,” he told me. “Just push down as hard as you can and drag it along until you’ve reached the other side. I’ll help you, okay?”
“I don’t want to do this,” I whispered to him shaking my head.
“It’s alright,” Jimmy reassured me. “We’ll do it together.”
Jimmy forced our hands down into the man’s throat. Blood began to pour out of his throat and run down his face and drip into the drain. I gagged and felt my knees weaken underneath me. Jimmy held me up and kept dragging the blade across his throat. The blood continued to run out of the slit in his neck we were creating and dripping down onto the floor. I was happy Jimmy’s hand was over mine. Not only was he doing all of the work, his hand was shielding mine from the blood running past the blade.
The woman started screaming again when she saw what we were doing to the man. She had one extremely loud scream before her screams were cut off again. I could continue to hear her sob. Tommy must have stabbed something else in her leg. I hoped she would go unconscious from blood loss soon so I didn’t need to hear her crying.
Jimmy dropped the knife onto the ground and all I wanted to do was run away from this man’s now dead body. Jimmy and I had just killed someone together.
“How’d that feel, Juliet?” Charles asked me.
I bowed my head and took in a few deep breaths. The smell of that man’s blood filled my nose and my stomach started to flip.
“I don’t think she knows yet,” Gabe told everyone.
“Make her cut off his face,” Tommy told Jimmy.
I wanted to scream out, but a gasp was caught in my throat. I really did think that I was about to throw up all over the floor. The woman screamed out and Tommy shot her a stern glance. She shut up and I saw another handle standing up out of her thigh. Her jeans were now stained in blood.
“She’s done enough for today,” Jimmy told them.
“She doesn’t even know that she enjoys it yet,” Tommy told him.
“Shut up, Tom!” he snapped.
I started crying and I couldn’t stop myself. Jimmy was the only thing holding me up off the ground. I took in a few deep breaths to control myself, but it didn’t help.
“Jimmy, we all knew that you couldn’t have possibly trained her that quickly,” Gabe told him.
“I have. We just don’t do this at home,” he said.
“That’s because you’re weak.”
“Gabe-“Lindsay started to say. I looked over to see that Jared was on her lap wrapped up in a towel. She reached her hand out to touch his arm and try to calm him down.
“Be quiet!” he snapped at her, shaking her arm off of his. “I’m saying that Jimmy should man up and do what Tommy said and cut off his face.”
My knees folded underneath me and Jimmy heaved me back up onto my feet. I started to cry even harder.
“I think she’s done enough for today,” Jimmy said.
“You do it then, Gabe,” Charles ordered him.
He nodded his head and then walked over to us. Jimmy dug his fingers deeply into my skin before handing me over to Gabe.
“No, please, don’t make me do this,” I begged him.
Gabe shoved a blade in my hand and grabbed my wrist and then grabbed me around the waist so he could shove me closer in front of the man.
“You can do it, Julie,” Gabe assured me. “Trust me, it’s not difficult at all.”
“Gabe, I don’t think-“ Lindsay started to say again.
“I told you to be quiet!” he shouted. “I’ll deal with you when we get home.”
Gabe took his hand off of my waist and brought it up to my hand. He forced me to grab a piece of the man’s bloody flesh by the wound. He brought our other hand up with the knife in it.
“See you’ve already started,” Gabe told me. “You just need to cut it all off now.”
I sobbed as Gabe put the blade into the wound and started to hack away. I kept gagging as he started to peel back the flesh he had freed from the muscle. The knife slipped and cut off a section of his cheek. The flesh was hanging down from my fingers and I dropped it quickly in disgust.
“That’s right. You can just drop it there,” he told me.
I continued to cry and gag as Gabe guided my hands to continue to chop off this guy’s face. Once we had finished, his face was disgusting. The shiny, bloody muscles were showing. The only skin that was left was the skin on his ears. His scalp was still intact and I was terrified that he was going to make me continue.
He let go of me and I dropped down onto the floor. I scurried across the floor as I tried to back away from the man’s body. I backed up into someone and then quickly felt them scoop me up into their arms. I looked up to see that it was Jimmy. I started to cry harder and nuzzled myself into Jimmy’s chest.
The woman began to scream again and I heard Tommy grunt as he forced another knife into her leg.
“Don’t worry. Your time is coming soon,” Tommy told her.
Jimmy started to walk away with me in his arms. I heard the sound of a door opening and then felt the cold rain drops run down my body.
He carried me back to Taylor’s and I stayed curled up in his arms crying.
