“Jimmy!” I screamed out.
I had no idea why I did it. It wasn’t like Jimmy was going to hear me, he was outside helping Charles. I just couldn’t think of anything else to do and my brain jumped right to Jimmy for protection.
Tommy tightened his grip on my cheeks as he pushed my lips together. He quickly off my words after I screamed out Jimmy’s name a couple times. My hands were flat up against his chest and I was pushing him away as hard as I could. He brought his lips down to mine and I felt my throat tighten. I continued to try and scream as Tommy kissed me.
I needed to get Tommy off me and I needed to get him off me fast. I had no clue where to run to. I was locked in this house and had nowhere to go. There was always the bathroom with its precious lock.
I kept trying to push Tommy away, but like usual, it did no good. I was so weak compared to the men in this house. In order to get him off of me I was going to hit him where he was the weakest. The bruises may be fading on his nose, but I knew that it still must be sore.
I slipped my hand off of his chest. He was still distracted as he began to kiss me deeper. His hot breath started to fill my mouth. I balled my hand up into a fist and swung it out to hit Tommy in the nose. He yelled out in pain as he quickly pulled away from me.
My knees were shaking and I put my hand on the bed so I could get up onto my feet. I started running, but I felt Tommy grab my ankle. I kept trying to run, hoping that would just shake him loose. I was wrong and tumbled down onto the ground. My elbow was the first thing to connect to the ground and I screamed in pain as a pain shot up arm.

I could see the bathroom door and knew I was so close to safety. I dug my nails into the floor and tried to drag my body closer. Tommy’s weight quickly covered me and I didn’t get very far.
He grabbed my shoulders and rolled me over onto my back. I reached my arms out to stop him, and knocked over the bucket of water. I completely forget about it. I had quickly abandoned it on the floor before I tried to hide behind the bed.
The water was cold and began to soak my back. Tommy sat across my hips so that he was pinning me down. His legs were beside me and he had his hands down on either side of my head. I squirmed underneath him, but it was useless. His lips curled into his usual sickening smirk.
“Look what you did,” Tommy said.
I felt my back get wet as the water quickly began to soak through my sweater. My hair was wet and strands of it began to stick to my face. I continued to fight under Tommy’s grasp; pounding my fists into his chest. He grabbed both of my wrists and pinned them up over my head.
Panic set in and I began to furiously kick my legs out in a desperate attempt to get away. I tried to rip my hands away, but Tommy tightened his grip. My chest began to heave up and down as I started to cry.
“Calm down,” Tommy told me. “Just do what I say and this will be over quicker.”
“No! Please don’t,” I sobbed. “Please, Tommy. Please don’t do this to me.”
“I’m not going to rape you, Jules,” he said.
I felt slightly relieved. Tommy may not rape me, but there was still things he could do to me. I continued to sob and I screamed out Jimmy’s name one more time.
“He’s not going to hear you,” Tommy said shaking his head. “Just give up. You were a stripper so you should be used to this. At least I’m your family, not just seem creep in a bar.”

He held up both of my hands with just one of his. He started pulling the bottom of my sweater up and I began to scream anymore. I hoped Jimmy would have realized this is a mistake and come back into the house to save me.
Tommy had to let go of my hands when he pulled the sweater up over my head. I fought against him and tried to push him away and pull my sweater back down at the same time. He had quickly ripped it off and threw it across the room.
I couldn’t get out from under Tommy, so I started crossing my arms over my chest. I didn’t want him to see me. He grabbed my arms and pulled them off of me. His eyes didn’t leave my body as he pinned my arms up over my head.
He leaned down and began kissing my collarbone. Feeling his lips against my skin made me tremble in fear. I closed my eyes together tightly and turned my head to the side. I couldn’t stand to watch him.
It felt like hours passed before Tommy finally got off of me, but I knew it couldn’t have been that long. He lips trailed across what felt like all of my bare skin.
When Tommy got up off of me, I wanted to get up and lock myself into the bathroom. I couldn’t find the strength to though. I rolled over onto my side, so that I was no longer facing him. I curled my body up into a ball and I cried. My body shook as the tears poured out of my eyes.
“Don’t worry, Julie,” Tommy told me soothingly. I was afraid he would get down and start touching me again, but I had no idea where he was. “Our fun is just about to start and you better hope that Jimmy never finds out.”
He slammed the door shut and a terrible sounding sob came out of my mouth. I buried my head into my hands. I stayed on floor until I had cried myself dry.
Jimmy couldn’t know about this.
Once I mustered the strength to get up, I went straight over to the dresser. I dug through a drawer until I found another shirt and jeans. I took my jeans off and picked my soaking wet sweater up off of the floor. I dropped them in them into the tub and put on my clean, dry clothes. I didn’t even bother to brush my hair and just tied the wet tangles up.
I grabbed a couple of towels out from the cupboard and began to mop up the water on the floor. It had to look like nothing had ever happened.
Dinner was ready by the time they came back into the house. Tommy and Charles went to wash up and Jimmy went straight over to me. He slipped an arm around me and kissed me. His lips were in a smile, but then he looked down at my clothes. The smile dropped off of his face and he loosened up his arm around me.
“What happened to your clothes?” he asked.
“I knocked a bucket of water over by accident,” I told him. I wasn’t really a lie.
“How? What happened? Did Tommy -?”
I placed a finger over his lips to stop him from talking. His voice was full of concern and anger, if he knew Tommy touched me he would beat him again. I didn’t want anything to happen that would anger Tommy into doing it again.
“Nothing happened,” I told him. I tried to keep my voice calm and steady. I was surprised by how well I was doing, I expected my voice to crack. “I just tripped over my own feet. I’m really clumsy. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again.”

A Tale of the Ages: Gods, Monster, and Heros
The past get's forgotten. Or so they say. Maybe they're right. Even the gods forgot the beginning, the reason it all started. But I refuse to forget, even if I'm driven mad by the memory. Salvation? It's pointless. No one is worth saving, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth helping. No one is a plaything, but everyone's a pawn in this game. I hate it. Who's playing? I don't know. I don't even know what the game really is. I gave up on figuring that out after a time. What I do know is that I want to tell you all a story. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end, as any good story should. But, I really don't think you'd keep listening if I told it in order. So, we will start at three points; you'll have to figure out where they are in the overall story. The story of Hal and instinct, a pair so close that they might as well have been one. The story of The Husk, a creature on a hunt that would span generations. The story of Mask and a hero. How one will come to learn of the other's past and the many faces they had. Do you know where you stand? Do you side with the gods, the hero, the demon king, the experiment, the cursed, the blessed, the monsters, the forgotten? Well? I know. You don't know anything yet, so you can't say. So, enter our world, and find out what side is what.
