the funeral went by smoothly. I avoided Auden most of the part and stayed with Shira. She was giving me very good company as she let out about how annoying Theo is to me. I hope she sees how heartbroken he looks whenever she dismisses him.

My eyes kept wavering to the wall clock hung in the church. Time had passed by like a blur. It had gone away too fast. When I finally made my way towards Auden, he understood why and we were instantly out of the area. The entire car ride was silent and I didn't like it at all.

Not one bit.

I know it had been only a day of knowing him but I am beginning to like this place. Him, Shira, the fun I had never had before...

It was all too fun and I didn't have the heart to leave it behind.

Maybe I should stay.

What if Auden finds me bothering?

I watched him from my peripheral vision and he looked tense. His jaw was rigid and hard.

Did something happen?

Soon, we were out of the car and in the parking lot. I made my way inside the house, walking away as quickly as I can. Once inside, I reached the corridor where my room was.

"Kitkat?"

I ceased. Why am I suddenly enjoying this nickname so much? Since when did being called a nickname make my stomach flip? Why am I feeling nervous?

"You are avoiding me." He said, his voice monotone yet frustrated.

I swivelled around, pursing my lips and he narrowed his eyes at me. He was standing a metre distance away, his hands tucked in his pants pocket.

"I'm not," I answered back weakly. Suddenly, he was right in front of me, his blue eyes darkening until the words of desire were etched in them. He seemed angry and calm at the same time. I felt my heart beating rapidly as he stepped closer again. My feet went backwards and I cursed when my back hit a wall.

"You are lying." He said, and inched forward again, resting his forehead on mine. I couldn't remember how to breathe.

"What are you doing to me?" He asked, his voice weak and vulnerable as if he was completely at my mercy. My body felt like it was on fire even though he was only touching my forehead. His cologne reached my nose and I felt myself getting addicted to the smell.

"When I hold your hand," His fingers laced with mine and I felt a million butterflies fly around in my tummy. The emotion was so much stronger. "You don't let go. You hold my hand back tighter. Got it?"

I nodded.

Why am I nodding?

He breathed out. "Stay."

"W-what?" I asked. I couldn't recognise my voice. It was an octave higher than it usually is and I gulped. I expected a cheeky smirk due to my stuttering but there was none of that.

"Stay." His voice was much audible now, more demanding.

He is kidnapping my heart.

He is slowly opening the door to my heart.

I have to stop him.

"I can't. I have to—"

"I can see it in your eyes." He said softly and my heartbeat throbbing in my ears. He moved his head, his nose slightly brushing my cheeks and then behind my ear. It trailed down to my neck and his lips met my warm skin. I shivered at his touch. "I can see the desire in your eyes."

I suddenly felt like I wanted to stay. I suddenly felt like I wanted to paint my desire on him too. "Auden."

"I don't think you know what you are doing to me." He whispered against my neck and I bit my lip, trying to breathe and hush my heartbeat. My body felt hot. My body was scorching.

"God let you straight to me. You could have walked down another street. I could have never seen you. But, it happened." He said and my chest heaved up and down. His lips feathered kisses down my neck before reaching my chin. He pulled away, staring for a moment. His finger suddenly started trailing up from my thighs.

"You don't know how much I am controlling myself around you." He breathed out. Pools of lust and desire swirling in his cerulean eyes. His lips inched closer, almost touching my lips and that's when I snapped back to reality. My hands landed on his chest, pushing him away but it only made him take a step back. It was as if he was anticipating that move.

"Kitkat." He said and I started walking away. His hand landed on my wrist and spun me back to him.

"No," I said, pushing him away and walking inside the room. Closing the door behind me, I placed my back against the door and let out a huge sigh. I felt my nerves calming down, my heartbeat slowing down and my muscles relieving tension immediately.

I needed to get out of here.

I have to.

I know I have to confront him later and talk about going to my friend's house. Or maybe I could just leave, catch a cab. But, I am running low on money.

Maybe I should take a nap and worry about this later. With that thought, I shrugged out of the dress, making sure that the door is locked, I made my way into the bathroom to get a quick shower, a cold one.

When I closed my eyes and rested my head against the wall, a flash of seduction, stunning pair of cerulean eyes went across my mind.

God, why did you let me straight to him?
