I'm so happy, really happy for my best friend. She finally found someone for her. It's really great to hear that after everything that they've been through, Tori and Zach are the end game.

Their love, although it started as a lie and they hated each other in the beginning, love found them. And it's better than a fairytale love story. Sure it is one hell of a ride, but look what they achieved now?

I just let out a big sigh, I will get over you soon. I told myself.

I entered my house and what I saw confused me.

"Mom, what is the meaning of this?" My mom was standing at the receiving area with my luggages.

"I'm so damn disappointed, Charlotte Loise." She threw the newspaper at the coffee table. "I didn't raise you to be like that!" She was enraged.

"Mom, I can explain." I said in a calm voice. "What was written in that is—"

"You seduced James Gregory when you already have River Ellison!"

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at this. "If you'll just let me explain first—"

"Explain?" Her eyes widened in pure rage. "I will not hear any explanation from you because no matter how much I look at it, this wasn't photoshopped!"

I can't believe that my own mother didn't want to hear any of my pleas. "So now what? Are you throwing me out? Are you going to disown me?"

"We're going to Brown, babe."

A familiar voice said that sent shivers down to my spine.

I turned my head and there I saw the smirking evil River Ellison leaning at the door.

"You're joking? You promised me I'm going to stay here and study in Columbia with my friends." I fumed at my mom. Now, the idea of her disowning me sounds so much better than this.

"You're still lucky that he still forgives you after all this." My mom said in as matter of fact tone.

"Of course I forgive you, my sweet Chloe." His words were lacing with disdain but his sweet smile masked it. He walked towards my direction and hugged me, not the romantic type way, but something that is so painfully tight.

My mom was just smiling at us, thinking that this is something so romantic.

"You know very well that everyone in town knows we're dating, right? You hurt my ego, love. No one cheats on me, remember? Even if it's all fake." He whispered in a threatening tone. "I will make your life in Brown like a living hell." He added, this time I can sense that he's smirking.

I'm not the type of girl you can toy with, Ellison. I will make you pay for all the things you did to me from when we were kids up until now.

"Ohhh. Thank you for your forgiveness. I can't wait to start over again." I gushed and returned the same type of hug he just gave me.
