"You're still ugly," I whispered.

"You, too," she returned, and we both laughed.

We went to the car and I noticed London had taken her bags. What a gentleman, I thought.

Brooklyn sat in the backseat and I of course took the passenger. I turned around to talk to her.

"So, Brooke, are you going to miss any of your classmates while you're here?" I inquired, already knowing the answer.

My sister scoffed as she buckled her seatbelt. "Hell no." Her answer made me laugh. "Well, I will miss one person. My friend James."

"Oh, shit, he's a boy?!" That shocked the hell out of me. Brooke had mentioned her friend before, but I didn't know that that said friend was a boy. "You like him?"

"As a friend, Paris. Nothing more. Plus, he's one of the few people of color in my class. So when the white people do something stupid, we can always give each other 'the look.'" I wasn't the only one laughing at that, London was, too.

We settled down eventually. I turned up the radio a little. Brooke and I just threw harmless insults at each other for the rest of the car ride.

When we got home, my mother wasn't there, but when she got home and saw my sister she threw her arms around her.

"Brooke!" Mom squealed. It was the same routine with my father, minus the squealing.

Cosmo had heard the door open and of course got excited. He was even more excited when he saw that it was Brooklyn. Cosmo liked Brooklyn more than me (even though I was his mom).

After that my sister and I went upstairs since she wanted to see if her room was the same.

My sister's room was different than mine, her style was more so elegant and graceful. We were both girly, but in our own way. I was a little spicy girly and she was more sophisticated girly.

Like the way Brooke dressed was something you'd see on a Pinterest board—well, I guess that can be said about anybody, honestly.

Paris took in her room, the first thing she did was disinfect everything with her Lysol wipes. Her room smelled lemony after that.

"I should take you to get a piercing," I suggested randomly while my sister did a little unpacking.

"No, hell no," she chuckled.

"Why not? I got both of mine freshman year." It was true, I had a little hoop on the side of my nose and a crystal in my belly button, both Swarovski.

I didn't get much of a punishment when I got my nose ring, I was just told, "Don't get another one."

My mother found out about my belly ring at a doctor's appointment, when I had to undress. She allowed me to let my father know about it. However, my father didn't find out about my belly ring until my fifteenth birthday party, which was a pool party and I was wearing a bikini. I know he saw it, but he chose to ignore it and went to bed early that day.

"What're you wearing on Saturday?" Brooke inquired, opening up her suitcase.

"I actually have no idea." I put my hands on my hips with my legs apart.

"Me neither."

"Tomorrow when I come home from school, we can go to Nordstrom."

"M'kay."

"I'll be back." I dashed out of Brooke's room to the room across from her's which was London's room.

His door was ajar, I went it without knocking or anything. London was by lying up on his bed, his upper body laid on the headboard, with one arms behind his head, and the other typing something on his MacBook.

"Hey, Lonny-Lon-London," I closed the door behind me. "What're you doing, you watchin' porn?"

His eyes moved to mine.

"No."

I jumped on the bed and leaned my shoulder on the headboard.

I saw on his computer that he was looking at Jordan's.

"I knew you were looking at porn? You have a foot fetish," I accused, joking obviously.

He chuckled. "You're annoying, get out."

"Can you take Brooke and I to Nordstrom tomorrow?"

"After school?"

"Yeah."

"Okay," he said.

I noticed that London's long eyelashes looked beautiful from the side. I had to take a moment admire his side profile. He had a really sharp jawline....

"Can I do your makeup?" I suddenly asked.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't want you to."

"Why?"

"I'm already beautiful, I don't need makeup," was his excuse.

"I wear makeup. Are you saying I'm ugly, London?"

"Nope, not at all."

"Let me do your makeup, London," I offered again.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes

"Yes."

"No–" I closed his laptop shut. "Don't try and trick me!" I chided, making him laugh.

London opened his laptop again. "Bottom line, you're not doing my makeup. Point blank period, case closed."
