y/n pov
lizzie pulled up just outside my house still remembering the way there surprisingly. "goodnight hun and remember 11pm" she warns with an eyebrow up but a smirk on her face.
"of course goodnight lizzie" i smile waving as she leaves. now for the dramatic moment i turn around looking at my 2 story house it was dead silent around and no lights on in the house just a street light.
i pull my phone out calling dahlia, it rings as i look around for the spare key. bingo. un clocking the door i walk in to see it kind of a mess still stuff out from the OTHER DAY when they left oh god it would be so off. dahlia picks up smiling
"hello y/n/n" she grins the phone was propped up on her desk or something as she held her guitar. dahlia was wearing a black nike sports bra and baggy red trackies. her hair was up in a messy bun strands falling around her face and a bit at the back. she had a couple bracelets on and many rings. a silver necklace hung around her neck as she held the guitar pick between her teeth. i could barely tell what she was doing but it looked like she was writing something
"hey dahls whatcha doing" i ask
"figuring out the cords to a song" she says playing a couple things. damn she was good "what about you" she asks turning her attention to me
"i have to clean the whole house before my parents get home" i groan propping the phone up near the stove and going to put away the food
"thats hot" she laughs
"i know i am" i smirk
dahlia just laughs playing the song Sweet child oh mine on her guitar using this loopy thing to make the song sound right. i was shook. she was incredible. i was in complete wonderment. she played perfectly and thats an understatement.

"like what you see?" she asks all of a sudden and i see shes stopped
"your fucking incredible" i say to fast. her face lights up slightly and she grins.
"just wait till you hear her sing" hayden barges in through a door that looks like it leads to a bathroom. one i assume goes through the other side into his room. so they share a bathroom.
"shut it" dahlia pushes him out of the room
"you can sing?" i ask
"not really" she shrugs tuning her guitar.
"i doubt that" i say getting back to cleaning. i finish the kitchen in around 30 minutes and move to the rest of the house. checking off the list i get to my parents room.
tf how can 2 grown adults have such a messy room, my god. i get to cleaning trying to do it as much as i can as fast as i can. dahlia continues playing the guitar it sounds so good. i make their bed put away the washing tidy shoes its like im looking after a toddler.
around like 4 hours later im done all my mothers jobs how she wants them and i flop onto my bed throwing my phone next to me.
"nice ceiling" dahlia comments. i pick up the phone holding it above my face
"i know right" i laugh putting it on my window sill. i unpack my bag of things from my trailer putting a load of washing on and picking a couple more books to put into my bag to take to set. i get a text going over to my phone
due to a technical issue you will all have the next few days off. see you on monday
it read at first i was like YES FREEDOM than i realised my parents will be here. shit

"looks like im not ditching you tomorrow" i say
"did plans change" dahlia asks
"yeah got all weekend off now" i yawn.
dahlias door opens and she spins around on her chair looking to the door
"come on possum bed time" i assumemher mother says "you can go surfing in the morning before school if you go to sleep now" her mother persuades
"yeah okay" dahlia puts her guitar down "goodnight mum"
"goodnight" she closes the door
"what time exactly do you get up to go surfing" i ask
"oh around 5am usually sometimes earlier 430's sweet"
"i would die if i woke up that early" i say. she laughs
"well imma go to sleep so talk to ya tomorrow" dahlia smiles
"yeah goodnight dahlia"
"goodnight y/n" she ends the call and all i can do is smile. this week was the best week ever.
i got so side-tracked writing this it took like an hour longer lmao

Grin the Cheat
There was a time when heroes roamed between the Four Great Cities. They fought for kingdoms and princesses and they lived and died by their valour. Or so the stories say. The way the minstrels sing it, everyone had a swashbuckling good time. Nowadays, buckles are rarely swashed. All the great beasts have been slain, all the great treasures unearthed. Princesses are few and far between — the ones worth fighting over, anyway — and the kingdoms have been divvied up between the sons of sons of sons of the heroes of old. No valour required. Frankly, the hero business is in a sorry state. Luckily for Grin the Cheat, thieving and murder are thriving as usual. If you have a moment, please vote for this story at Top Web Fiction. No signup required, just press the button. Voting refreshes every week. Vote. Story is now available on my site Moodylit.com. You can buy the ebook on Kindle/EPUB

Book 1: The Forgotten Fighter
Follow a collection of chance encounters turned potential allies as numerous forces work to tear through the fabric of reality. Viamarr, a continent in the world of Rinterria, holds host to our tale and to the city of High Morr, which sits snugly on its frozen island in the middle of a great frostbitten lagoon. When High Morr is suddenly crippled by a series of mysterious sinkholes, our heroes do what they do best. Try to run. Keep up with them to find out where they end up and what exactly is chasing them in return. I hope to publish a new chapter 3 times a week. This is reduced from my previous number, hopefully temporarily, due to an increased workload outside of Royal Road.
