lizzie begins to drive us to school but i would rather sleep. talking to dahlia i begin to explain the timetable for today groaning as it sets in that i have all core subjects. lizzie plays some 80's music and the sky was dark i could tell it was about to rain. perfect to sleep. 

'you my friend need more sleep' dahlia tells me nudging my arm. 

'mmm sure' i say sarcastically 'actually your probably right' i yawn. it had only been two days since my family left and its been great. elisabeth pulls up to the school. 

'thank you ms olsen' dahlia nods grabbing her bag

'lizzie or elisabeth is fine dahlia' lizzie says smiling. dahlia nods and leaves i grab my bag as well 'will you need another ride this afternoon?' she asks me, i shake my head

'no thanks, most likely ill walk or catch the bus. if its raining ill call you okay?' i say knowing that will convince her to let me walk. she nods and i smile thanking her before leaving. 

the bell rings and everyone scrambles into class. '5 bucks, you fall asleep today' dahlia says as we sit down in science. 

'easiest 5 bucks of my life' i smirk shaking her out stretched hand. she smirks 

'sure'. 

'your exam is on monday next week so here is the revision sheet, i want it done by thursday so it can be marked before the test' sir says handing out a good 14 page revision sheet. i get it and flip through a bit rubbing my temples before grabbing a pen out of my bag and starting. by the time i finish the first 2 questions dahlia has flipped the page. i stare at her in shock and annoyance she just laughs continuing. i put my head on one of arms laying on my ear and continuing the work.

as you can tell bohemian rhapsody was stuck in my head, now of all times. i yawn a bit working out another what if for rocks. like seriosuly its like people that like work as people who study rocks put the work they dont want to do and make us do it. i mean i know its the curriculum but come on. i yawn again just closing my eyes for a second. 

'y/n im sorry is this topic boring you' the teacher asks 

'well yeah its literally rocks' i say to confidently before realising my mistake. 'im sorry sir' i add quickly after 

'see me after class' he dead pans and i nod. i put my head back down and since dahlia was to the right of me i could see her smirk. i kick her foot that was hanging from the chair 

'shut up' i laugh, rubbing my face and sitting up again she just smiles and shoves my foot back. 

the next bell rings and dahlia offers to take my bag. i nod and thank her. 'y/n a word' the teacher waves me over i walk backwards raising my eyebrows at dahlia before she leaves again as like everyone else. 

'i do not teach just for students to slack off' he starts off facing the whiteboard before turning around and leaning on the desk 'i do not appreciate you slacking off in class' he continues 

'sir, i closed my eyes for a second you just so happened to look over at me at that very moment' i state. really hoping he will let it pass. but he shakes his head. 

'and how many pages did you get done?' he asks 

'7' i answer short

'and what was the minimum' he questions, grabbing a ruler to which im confused by. who needs to rule something right now

'6' i say confused as to what i did wrong 

'it was sixTEEN!' he raises his voice but i shake my head a bit confused. 

'sir there is only 15 pages' i tell him, but he raises the ruler and slaps my neck with it. the fuck.

'dont interrupt me when im talking!' he spits. im to shocked to respond only catching when he tells me to leave. i leave quickly and bump into my friend. 

'hey what did sir want' she asks 

'just telling me not to slack off bla bla' i answer shaking my head and looking at my shoes. she nods and we go to the stairs to eat lunch. i run a hand through my hair moving it from my face. 

'woah what happened to your neck dude. that wasnt there earlier' she states. uh fuck think of a lie 

'hm' i act confused looking at my neck before realising you cant actually see your neck. i take out my phone using the camera to see the red mark already bruising. 

'uh idk but i bruise easily so its nothing' i tell her. she dosent look convinced 'really its fine dahlia why would i lie' i smile holding my arms up. she sighs rolling her eyes but i can tell shes smiling. 

the next class starts and the need to sleep is getting worse. hate to admit it but i may owe dahlia 5 dollars after this. walking to the back we sit as the teacher begins a long lecture. the lights were turned off and we were at the back so i crossed my arms on the table resting my forehead on the cold desk. 

im awake for a bit but once a video begins to play i fall asleep.
