i was walking with scarlet and florence trying not to limp my legs could barely hold me up i was glad when we saw the cafe coming up ahead of us. it was a small family owned cafe and i'd met the owners more than a couple times i was a regular after all. walking in their son jessie greeted me he was older than me 17 we used to go to karate together before my parents stopped paying and i was kicked out.

'hey alvin' he smirks

'hey theodore' i tease him back, it had been a while since i've been here

'oh you left your book last time you were here i think jamie has it' jessie says going to look for his twin sister we call simon.

'friend of yours?' scarlet questions tilting her head as we sat down

'you could say that, i come here a lot so i know the staff and owners' i tell them

'well in that case what do you recommend' flo asks looking at the breakfast options

'honestly your better off asking jessie, i only ever have the same thing' i tell her honestly, i've never had anything else at this cafe other than a muffin and tea.

'i thought you called him theodore' scarlet asks confused again. speaking off jessie, he comes over with jamie and the twins smile at be handing my book back.

'so what would you guys like to order' they ask in unison i hated how they did that its creepy

'surprise me' florence says jessie nods with an evil grin

'(an order bc i dont know what things are)' scarlet says trying something new

'the usual' they nod

'holy shit, scarlet johansson and florence pugh are sitting right there' jamie whispers as they walk away with our orders, i laugh jamie had the fattest crush on scarlet, i bet her mind was exploding.

'so why were you out there alone this morning' scarlet asks after florence stood up to answer a call outside.

'i just needed some fresh air' i tell her looking out the window

'at 5 in the morning' i gulp and revert my gaze to my lap

'yeah perfect time to watch the sunrise, i live close anyway' i shrug, i can tell she knows there is more to the story but florence comes back in at the same time that our orders come over. scarlet and florence had full breakfasts whereas i simply had a orange and poppyseed muffin.

'are you going to school today?' i hear one of them question. i couldnt figure out which of them since i was to busy watching the dark clouds come overhead, i just nod and take another small bite out of my muffin.

i get a couple texts from my phone and i ignore it at first but when it starts to get alot more i apologise and open messages

i sigh and turn my phone off and face down 'everything okay?' florence asks

'yeah my parents just got called in early for work, thats all' i tell them already beginning this weeks lie, they nod and offer to drive me to school. i look at the time and shake my head

'i can walk' i smile folding my muffin wrapper

'you sure your school is like 7 kilometres away (7000m i think and idk miles)' scarlet makes sure, i nod and we continue talking for a while while they finish their breakfasts, jessie comes back to give us the check and to take the dishes. scarlet and florence argue on who wants to pay

'ill do it you payed last time' florence says but scarlet dissagrees saying she wants to pay. i offered to pay but they instantly shot down that idea. eventually they go half. they leave first, because i convinced them i wanted to talk with jessie and jamie a bit before i leave, they nodded.

as i walked through the staff doors bc i was allowed i see the owners and they smile at me, i guess they see me as a younger child. 'y/n your here' their dad, alex smiles and hugs me

'surprise' i laugh also hugging their mother susan (sue-zan)

'not getting into mischief i hope' susan laughs. i smile and shake my head before going upstairs to their apartment above

'raaaattts!' i yell teasingly they come out from the kitchen and we talk for a while in the loungeroom.

'so since when did you know scarlet johansson and florence pugh' jamie asks

'since i got a new job for mar-' i stop my self 'i got another acting job and they are in it' i tell them

'your an actor?' they question, right it had been that long of a while

'oh, yeah, not that big tho, just in like fearstreet, sherlock holmes and a couple other things, even voice acted a character on the Simpsons once' i tell them as they get their books for school.
