《Earl Grey x Reader》Book Of Murder: Double Trouble

"What's that bastard doing this late at night?" I said, covering my mouth as I yawned.
I got up from the bed and followed Grey from behind, careful to not attract his attention. Walking down the hall, I was maybe 3 or 4 doors from him. He was heading to Georg's room, where the sound of someone tending the coke echoed.
Grey gripped his sword tightly, he was ready to kill.
Even though he closed the door behind him, I could still make out the sound of the sword stricking a body, then the said body landing with a thump on the floor. Quick, and no witnesses.
Except me.
Grey opened the door and was cursing under his breath, his rigid movements clearly saying that he was on edge. So as soon as he left, I checked up on Sebastian.
The butler laid lifeless on the floor, the tending stick for the flame had pierced him from behind. Blood covered the floor as I approached him.
"Red really brings out your eyes," I mutter, kneeling at his level.
"I thought so too," Sebastian rises from the dead and pulls out the stick, but even with him being immortal, that looks pretty painful, since his face scrunched up.
"So this is what, Her Majesty meant by giving the young master punishment, frame him for murder," He said, as we walked down the hall near to where the basement was located.
"How cruel, even for a sweet woman like Queen Victoria," I replied before seeing that he was gone. I blinked for a moment, where could he have gone?
Damn Butler.
With a sigh, I just waited; for I know Grey's fear of ghosts. I have a fear too, being alone in the dark. You could consider me 'alone' right now, but who knows who could be awake at this moment.
Grey serves the Queen right? That would explain his fear of ghosts, after all, most of the places the Queen visits, resides or own had the last owners haunt them.

I heard the cellar door close so I pretended that I was just walking down the hall. Right on cue, I 'bumped' into Grey.
"Oh, Kitten, what are you doing up this late? You should be sleeping..." Grey then smirks, "Did you miss me that much that you came looking for me~" His face was inching closer to me by the minute.
I pushed his face away, blushing a bit but thank god that it was dark.
"Firstly, I still hate you for earlier, you arrogant prick, and second, I was trying to find the kitchen, I need some water, I'm thirstier than someone on aphrodisiac, " I explained.
"In that case." Grey linked his arm with mine, "I'll be coming with you, I am feeling quite peckish."
All right, is this payback from the chapter: Night!? Itwasjustasimplepeckonthecheek. Plus it's a friendly gesture, so nothing romantic going on here, but I'm guessing the author doesn't know that, how inconsiderate.
Suddenly, my hand lifted from its position and slapped my face, leaving a red mark on my cheek; giving me a familliar stinging feeling.
Jeezus, fine, I take it back.
"Anddd found it!" Grey exclaimed, opening the door to the Phantomhive kitchen. Why is it that I smell the remains of an explosion here...and some blood, the last time I was here I didn't even notice.
I opened some of the cabinets, in hope to find a glass cup though I've only found a flamethrower.
...
That's interesting.
I turned to Grey who was leaning against the wall, eating some pastries. Those were probably from the pantry. Finally, I found a glass cup and grabbed it. I'd fancy something cold right now, maybe they have some ice, aha!
I poured in some water from the pitcher and placed in some ice, letting it sit for a few seconds so the cold can take over the water.
I took a sip, then drank the rest, even the ice, gaining an amused look from Grey.

"Has your thirst been quenched yet? You look like you're dancing on air," He commented.
"Didn't I tell you that I was thirstier than someone on aphrodisiac? God, so this is what it feels if you're a thirsty vampire...The next time I see Kou, I'm gonna say sory for all the times I defended myself from him," I said, muttering the last part.
I took one more cup of ice water and headed back to the room with him, and as soon as I got in the room, I plopped on the bed.
"How did the bed turn this comfy? Is it because you're not in it? Maybe..."
"Just go to sleep, it's late at night. Goodnight, kitten," Grey said, laying beside me, he was about to fall asleep but--
I rose from my position and glared, "Why the heck did you start calling me kitten?"
That was a nickname Kou gave me... And he sounds just like Kou too! Did some prick enter his mind or something? I guess I'll find out tonight.
"I thought it seemed fit, it just felt...familiar."
"Okaaay then~ Goodnight, Charles~" I plopped down again, but this time I hugged the person beside me.
"What are you..."
"There isn't any extra pillows...you are now my pillow," I casually retorted, resting my head in the crook of his neck. I could feel his breath hitch when I did that.
"Relax," I breathed out, "It's only just a hug, it's not like I'm gonna take your blood, I'm not a vampire." I giggled, looking up at his confused face.
"I'm still worried about the suffocation you warned about, the last time you shared a room with someone, they were poisoned."
"Oh that woman." I thought for a moment, "I didn't like her, she deserved to die anyway, that bitch tried to kidnapped me after we shared a room; I think she was crazy serial , she already kidnapped and killed like 12 other girls, their ages were around my age.
She led me to a hallway full of wax dolls that were actually the other girls and kept saying that I would be next, like she'd drain my blood, replace my eyes with glass ones, she even asked what kind of flowers I'd want for a bouquet, so I poisoned her tea."
Grey laughs, "That sounds disturbing, almost similar to the Jack the Ripper case a few months ago..."
"The person who killed prostitutes and gutted their uteruses? The suspect was either a jealous female or a jealous male, I have my own theory though."
His interest seemed to have peeked, as Grey made me stare into his deep blue eyes.
"Who do you think did it?" He asked.
"R-remember the time we talked about the Philippines?" I started, "There was this infamous doctor that came from that country...the Spanish folks who are under their rule told me his name was Jose Rizal; get it? Jose Rizal, Jack Ripper, they both have the same initials.
He was also known to be a womanizer so that made sense, and he was in London at that time, he left shortly after," I finished, still can't believe that we're just casually talking about serial killers.
"That's a good theory, too bad that Phantomhive brat already killed the supposed suspect, only Her Majesty knows the true killers.
"And you know what? I think they're going to get they're freedom soon from the Spanish; Actually, they're currently in American rule right now...so honest mistake," I added.
Looking up at the clock on the wall, I noticed the time.
1: 28 am.
"This has been some great talk about serial killers, but I think it's time to hit the hay," I place my head in the crook of his neck again, and closed my eyes.

The Legend of Ghost
This is a quick novella origin story to one of fan-favorite characters in the ZERO universe, Sam Dobbs, a.k.a. Slade Gardner, a.k.a. the Ghost. I wrote it for current ZERO series fans, after many insistent, fervent, teary-eyed demands. Still, I think it pretty much works as a stand-alone, so I'll post it here. (He gets the name Ghost later, not as part of this story...this is just the why he decided to do what he did, being slightly insane and all.) Lots of easter eggs for current fans. 15k words total, chapters will be approx. 2.5k each. Oh, and if you get turned off by crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials being crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials, this isn't the story for you. ;)

Heartstone
Book 1 is complete. Book 2 is currently updating. For centuries, the portal to another dimension remained closed. Now, it is mysteriously open again, and the link between Earth and Heartstone allows us to journey once more to this magical realm. Book 1 - Arwin arrives in Heartstone and meets some lovely damsels who are unfortunately in distress. He faces off against blue blood nobles to help the people of the Blue Region. Book 2 - Arwin befriends Yaz, a talking skeleton and sets off for adventure. But before they get going, they stumble across a tribe of gorgeous nymphs. All seems fun and games until the goblins arrive. This series is a portal fantasy (isekai) that features wordplay and puns and plenty of cultural references. Reminiscient of Piers Anthony's Xanth series and Terry Pratchett's Discworld, but for a more adult audience. Book 1 is also available on Amazon and other online stores. You can also download from Patreon.

And now look what poor Hickory has to do - to save the world? That she's sweet, now, a voice like an angel, but now she's over there lookin at him like he's more than a man. And that's not to say Hickory is bad, not all the time, not ever on purpose - just there are things a man has to - That drinking and fighting ain't wrong just as long as the chores are done proper first, that those parts of life that make it worth living ain't no sin, that loving a lady is proper and Hickory just has so much love to give! And May is special, right, sweet and soft, now she's sophisticated. That she wears her passion like a pearl necklace? That certainly Hickory would notice, naturally - that she's already spoken for, perhaps taken? That ever since Hickory came back, that all she can think about is swallowing - those strange feelings, because it wouldn't do, would it? For a Lady? But certainly she can worship him and still be seen with Weston Covanger? Because Weston needs May, that what happens in the Study is only half the battle, the Men's Business, and he's far too proud to settle for half of anything. That if he wants to move up the ranks of his family, to be more than a Covanger, to become the Covanger? He's going to need a woman in the Kitchen as well - he's going to need May. And if that seems a bit old fashioned? A bit too much like the Wild West? Well the West is starting to get wild again now that everyone starts to Drink. A different take on LitRPG where answers aren't given - they must be earned, discovered and fought for, one at a time. An orator style, a long read, filled with magic buildings, crafting, alchemy, but most of all - This is a story about the human spirit. About understanding what defines a person, their morals, their beliefs, and also faith when everything they understand becomes challenged - changed. So do they. People can change. They will. Just not always for the better, not always - sometimes. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes that's even everything.
