《Earl Grey x Reader》Night

(Can you believe that I'm still in middleschool... Also give me some feedback! I'm not that good at arguing anyways. pffttt)
"Play?" I ask, shocked but my not-so-innocent mind, thought of other things...
The world seemed to simmer down as the sun was disappeared from the horizon, and the small candlelit lamp burned out. There was an awkward moment of silence, until I felt myself to immediately scurry to Grey's side.
"The sun's sleeping for the night, might as well be time for supper!" He chirped, dragging me by my arm towards the dark hall. Encountering some servants, till we got to the dining room. As I expected, it was very fancy, with gold embellishments on almost everything.
I was set down by my seat by the other butler, Charles Phipps, who seemed quiet and conservative. The only people who sat there, were me and Queen Victoria.
They served some classic roast beef, cooked as well done, mind you, and some vegetables along the side.
I took a bite, savoring the flavor. Of course, Her Majesty has only the best of chefs.
-----
I finished eating, taking a napkin and swiping off messes on my face.
Queen Victoria asks me if the meal was to my liking, I nodded. Being excused, she ordered Charles to escort me, and seeing a bit of a frown form on his face, I assumed he was disappointed about something.
He nudges my arm, and I follow him out of the dining hall, looking at the area to try and map out the castle; In the now, brightly-lit halls, servants were going to and fro, carrying materials from room to room.
We chat a bit, discussing about the Spanish rule in the Philippines; About how mentally overwhelming it was for the torture and influence. Though he treats it as some sort of normal activity, saying,

"Well, (Y/N), We are in the century where most countries are under rule or independent, for example, at least 100 years ago, America gained freedom from our rule, when King George II was still out and about."
Giving him a questioning look, he puts one of his hands behind his head, picking up a platter of cake that he always passes while patrolling from a small decorative table.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"I'm implying that they'd probably gain a revolution and gain it freedom someday..." Grey trails off, finishing the last bite of the cake.
I hiss at his big appetite and wonder if the reason he frowned was because he was growing hungry; As we got closer to my guest room I smirked a bit, having an amazing idea!
"Here you go--"
I pecked his cheek and immediately walked in my room, slamming the door shut, while saying, "Goodnight~"
Charles stood there for a solid second, trying to process what happened, and he whispered under his breath,
"Goodnight..."

Godslayers
In the ancient, brutal days, the Eifni Organization reached heaven through violence and tore the gods from their thrones. Now their methods are more precise. Etheric technology allows them to measure love, create beauty, and reincarnate the souls of the dead into new bodies. By embedding specially-trained operatives—godslayers—into a culture, they can create the exact conditions to kill a god and save the souls it would otherwise devour. Lilith was a run-of-the-mill college atheist until a divine being took a bite out of her soul. Rescued by the Eifni Organization, she signed on as a godslayer. Now, after years of training, she's deploying on her first real mission to a planet called Theria. Objective: perform reconnaissance on the local pantheon and clear out as many of the gods as they can before the strike team arrives. There's just one problem: the Therians seem to know they're coming. Godslayers is a story about intrigue, meaning, and people being too clever for their own good. Updates Tuesdays and Fridays.
