《Pandora's Gift》Chapter 20

It had not taken the group long before plates were empty and stomachs were full. Bakugou and Sakaki had bickered almost the entire meal about something or anything. It had started with the wasabi and at some point had evolved to them bickering about who could make a better dinner. Even though both parties were fully aware that Bakugou would win. But Sakaki wasn't one to back down, especially when challenged by an alpha. It was so bad at first Sasara thought the woman completely hated alpha's and in some ways she did.
Sakaki hated the way most alpha's had treated her growing up, and at first she had been too shy and weak to do much about it. But as she gained strength and courage she got better about standing up to alpha's and now even someone as aggressive as Bakugou no longer had her cowering in corners. Though arguing with her own instincts was not usually fun she still refused to bend to the will of an alpha. And of course even with friends she refused to back down to the simplest of challenges.
Of course as the waiter dropped off the bill on the table Sakaki was not going to just let the guys pay for her meal. That started an entirely new war between the blonde man and dark haired woman who wanted to pay for her own meal and Sasara's and Hatori's.
"Just let me pay for Sasara and my meal!" The blonde seemed down right pissed that the woman wouldn't just accept a free meal. Which in turn had her even more pissed off.
"No now put your fucking wallet away!" Bakugou barked. There was nothing worse than watching the two get into a screaming match that had the entire restaurant watching and the poor wait staff standing around unsure how to approach the pro hero's arguing in the dining area since both of them refused to back down.
In the end Kirishima scooped up the bill and paid as both parties turned to glare at him as soon as they heard the waiter thank Kirishima and wished him a good night. Sakaki was pouting with her arms crossed over her chest, unhappy with Kirishima having bought everyone's meals. She wanted nothing more than to rip the man a new ass for doing that. He should have known better than to pay for her meal. Although it was completely meant to be nice she was still pouting unhappy.
"You didn't have to do that Kirishima," the dark haired woman was grumbling under her breath.
"Well I had to think of a way to end your arguing somehow," he was completely teasing her as he flashed the woman a toothy smile which in turn had her blushing at the fact she had made a scene so bad that Kirishima had to step in like that.
"Sorry about that," she mumbled, now embarrassed about her actions over the bill for the food.
"Shun you're too stubborn for your own good," Her best friend giggled softly as she grabbed her son's hand and started leading her son out of the restaurant. Which had all three hero's following the silver haired woman and her son as they left the restaurant.
"I can't help it," the woman mumbled back at her friend. Which in turn had Sasara smiling happily at her friend.
"Well it's getting late. Hatori still needs a bath before bed. Thank you again Kirishima for the meal," Sasara said as the group stepped out onto the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. She was looking down at Hatori when Sakaki quickly dug her elbow into the red heads side when he didn't instantly reply to the silver haired woman. He nearly grunted at the pain of her sharp elbow jabbing into his ribs. Well if he hadn't been such a big baby she wouldn't have had to dig her elbow into his ribs. But clearly the man needed some help forcing his brain to function.

"Oh uhm it wasn't a problem. Uhm it is late. You shouldn't walk home alone, let me walk you home. After all it wouldn't be very manly of a hero letting a woman and young kid walk home alone," Kirishima seemed to struggle to get his words out, nearly tongue tied, his face nearly matching his hair colour as a large hand moved up to nervously rub the back of his neck.
"Oh you don't have to do that. We need to take two trains. There's no need for you to go so out of your way," now it was Sasara's turn to turn red. It was rather adorable watching the two of them flirt, blush and seem a little flustered with one another. And yet they seemed so good for each other, or at least Sakaki felt the two would be good for each other. Kirishima was the kinda man her friend needed. Someone nice, not aggressive and just a ray of sunshine to brighten her day. While he could be a pillar she could lean on for support.
"Well have fun you two. Make sure she gets home safe Kirishima. Come on Bakugou you're walking me home," the dark haired woman said smiling from her friend to Kirishima before throwing a glare over at Bakugou as she started to walk away from the group expecting the angry blonde to just chase after her like the angry pomeranian he was.
"Who the fuck said I was gonna walk you home?" Barked Bakugou as he gave chase to her just as she expected him too so that their friends would be left alone together with no real choice in the matter any more. Kirishima had no way to get out of walking Sasara home and Sasara couldn't get out of letting him walk her home this way. Perfect.
"And yet you're following me anyways," Sakaki pointed out smirking as the blonde fell into step with her.
"Well no shit. I was not about to stick around and watch those two idiots tripping over themselves any longer than I had to," Bakugou growled as he glared over at the woman walking beside him.
"Oh come on, I think it was rather adorable to watch," Sakaki said, smiling softly. Of course the reply Bakugou gave to that comment was a simple tsk as if he didn't believe her.
"Oh come on it's cute and funny watching those two get tongue tied and flustered over one another, after all when was the last time you saw Kirishima act so shy and nervous. The Great Wall of rock is deep down such an innocent little ball of sunshine," Sakaki said with a laugh as she fell into step with Bakugou as they slowly made their way towards her own home.
"Okay sure I haven't seen the idiot act like this since we were in highschool. Still doesn't mean I wanna see it," Bakugou bitched. But then again when did he not bitch about something.
"Then look the other way but don't you dare say a fucking word to him. He deserves a little love and attention. If you get in his way I'll deal with you," she threatened actually a little worried Bakugou may say something stupid and scare Kirishima off.
"Why the fuck would I do that?" He questioned when she threatened him.
"Oh I don't know you're a bit of an asshole," she said with a simple shrug of her shoulders as if everyone in the world knew that, which in fact was rather true. Everyone knew the blonde could be an ass.

"The fuck did you just say?" Bakugou yelled as he turned on her. And yet instead of returning the aggression she let out a laugh and took off running down the barren street like a child. Sakaki didn't even care if she was acting like a child. It was fun as she ran from Bakugou listening to the feral growl that came from the man as he gave chase to her. Which only had her laughing harder as her long legs carried her swiftly along the streets.
Her laughter only encouraged Bakugou to speed up trying to catch up to her which only had her pushing faster as the two seemed to race along the street. At least till Sakaki turned a corner and nearly ran into someone as she hit the brakes and quickly had to do the best she could to avoid nearly hitting the poor gentleman who was just walking down the street with a briefcase in hand.
"I'm sorry," she yelled out to the poor man who had stopped and froze to watch the female hero just barely avoid running into him. While the large blonde was hot on her heels but had no issues dodging the man.
Of course having to slow down and dodge the man had really slowed her down, and in turn she felt strong arms wrap around her waist as she was completely swept off of her feet. She let out a small startled scream as she found her feet no longer on the ground, instead she was tossed over a broad shoulder. She was now looking down through her hair at the sidewalk beneath her.
"Bakugou!" She yelled softly as she tried not to burst out in giggles as she tried to squirm and get into a more comfortable position. But all that got her was a growl from him as a silent order to stop, which had her stop moving instantly.
"Looks like I won," Bakugou sounded more than smug as he walked down the street, the woman slung over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
"Alright! Alright you won. Now put me down already," she said, trying to pick her head up to look at the back of the blonde's head. Why did she suddenly have the urge to run her fingers through his hair? It looked a lot softer now that she was actually looking at it for once.
"No way. You're just gonna take off running again," he said as he continued to carry her.
"Come on Bakugou people are staring. Put me down," she whined softly which in turn just had him laugh at her.
"People were staring while you were running down the street but that didn't stop you from running off," he argued as he kept walking even as her apartment came into view. Okay he had a point, it wasn't the states that were truly bothing her. It was the fact that she wanted to reach out and run her fingers through Bakugou's hair that was more concerning to her. But clearly he did not plan to just put her down.
"Come on I admitted you won so put me down now," she whined as she hung over his shoulder.
And yet the reply she received was not what she expected as she listened to a deep low growl come from the man. The sound had been so quiet she might never have heard it, but she felt the vibration that went through his chest. It was a rather surprising response and yet her own body reacted as she bit her tongue not to let out a whimper at the noise. That completely shut her up, not sure what to say nor did she want to draw attention to herself worried he may notice her reaction.
Instead the woman chose to pout unaware that Bakugou was already making his way towards the front door of her apartment complex. It wasn't till he came to a stop that she once again picked her head up and tried to look back over her shoulder.
"Where's your keys?" He asked as he watched her reach back and slip her right hand into her right ass pocket on her jeans pulling out the small key ring with only three keys.
"You can put me down and I'll get the door," she said as she held the key in her hand.
"Just hand me your damn keys," he growled. The two were in a staring contest as she refused to give up her keys while she was still swung over the man's damn shoulder like she was some large bag of dog food.
"No," she growled at him which in turn had a growl rumble from him. Which shot through her body. A shiver ran down her back and her core grew tight. Damn it she hated the way her body reacted to the simple noise the blonde man made. Such a simple noise nearly had her panties growing wet. She was pretty sure Bakugou's red eyes had become nothing more than slits as he glared at her. She was going childish now and yet she oddly did not care. He was being childish for carrying her. One of them was going to have to give in eventually.
Though neither planned to do that as Bakugou tried to just reach for the keys which in turn had her just simply moving them behind his back around out of his reach. Which once again had the blonde growl at her. Fuck she loved that sound. Damn it she needed to remember to keep herself in check.
"Fine," Bakugou growled finally giving in after a few minutes of trying to reach for the keys only for her to keep them just out of his reach. And so she felt the ground beneath her feet once again. Though she nearly hissed at how much strength it took her legs to keep her upright and not on her knees before him.
"Finally," she said as she turned to slip her keys into the lock and opening it before she cried out in surprise as her keys were swiftly grabbed from her and once again an arm had wrapped around her waist and up into the arm she went once again tossed over his shoulder as he strolled into the front lobby and towards the elevator.
"Bakugou!" She cried out softly in protest as he carried her once again.
"Consider it part of my victory price," he simply answers as a side smirk pulled at his lips as he felt her body go lip before they walked into the elevator.
"You're so annoying," she growled softly at him as the elevator started to move up.
"Right back at you," Bakugou said though his tone was much lighter than hers had been telling her he was completely teasing her. Should she be flustered or shocked? Then again it wasn't like this was the first time they had flirted a little back and forth. It was just hard to think this was Bakugou Katsuki who was man handling her and to which she kind of enjoyed it. Biting her tongue the rest of the way up to her floor even as the doors opened and Bakugou stepped into the hall she remained quiet and just relaxed against his back as he walked up to her door and even unlocked it before finally dropping her to her feet. It was a little unexpected and she grabbed his arm for support as she shot him a glare which only seemed to make his smirk grow wider.
"Ass," she grumbled at him which only seemed to make him chuckle softly.
"Well good night," he said turning on his heel and just started to walk away. His hands stuffed into the pockets of his pants. Mean while Sakaki stood there watching him leave her mouth dropped open. What the hell? He wasn't gonna stay and come in? Then again maybe it was a good thing he wasn't. But still he didn't even wait for her to bid him goodnight before he was gone. Her keys were still sitting in the door lock where Bakugou had left them before he just up and left. A little confused she pulled the keys out and walked into her home closing the door behind her. Still that was odd to her.
The next morning started like all the others though now there was no Hatori to rush off to school so she was able to get to the agency on time. A few spare costumes in hand since she remembered the one she had been wearing was done in. No Bakugou waiting to bark at her yet which was nice as she smiled at the front desk receptionist and made her way for the woman's locker room finding it empty of people for the time being as she made her way to her locker stuffing the spare costumes into it before slipping one on. The black spandex was stretchy but still it clingy to her like a second skin and was a little minor struggle to slip on. Her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail and her mask slipped over her face and left to hang down around her neck. With the utilities belt fastened around her waist and her combat boots on she left the locker room she was ready for patrol duty.
Now Bakugou was waiting for her fully decked out in his hero costume. The gauntlets on his arms, his mask over his eyes really didn't hide his appearance but damn it still looked good. She wondered how heavy the gauntlets were but then again with arms rippling with muscles she doubted the man noticed the extra weight.
"About damn time," he growled like he did ever morning.
"Oh come on princess I'm on time today," she said as she walked up to him. And of course her teasing got her a deep chested growl from the blonde.
"Watch it fucking extra," Bakugou growled before turning and storming out of the agency with his palms just a smoking. Sakaki couldn't help it it was so fun annoying the blonde, or maybe it was those feral noises he made that she loved to hear that made her annoy him so much.
The patrol was much like the others. Boring next to nothing. One purse snatcher that wasn't even worth chasing after as he nearly ran himself into a parked car in his rush. Like damn if your gonna try to steal something on a busy man street like this one at least be aware of your surroundings. It was embarrassing to watch as Bakugou nearly had to drag the idiot to his feet after crumpling to the ground after bouncing off the car.
Though she noticed something during the patrol. Often Bakugou would fight her for who was leading the way, making the two walk fast. But today the pace had been set slow. He didn't fight her when she fell a step or two ahead which in turn would then have her slow down to match his speed. It was a bit odd but rather welcoming that it didn't feel like this patrol was a speed race between them. After handing over the purse snatcher to the cops she felt like Bakugou was almost clinging to her as they walked. Their arms would brush, if she stopped to glance at something he would stop and nearly lean into her back to look over her shoulder. At one point she could feel the heat from his chest along her back.
At one point she glanced over as he took a deep inhale through his nose. She didn't even bother to hide the questioning look on her face as she arched an eye brow at him silently asking him what the hell he was doing.
"Are you not wearing your scent blockers today?" He asked as she kept looking at him weirdly until he finally asked the question. Which only had her brows pull together even more.
"Of course I am. I always wear them. Why?" She asked looking over at him as she rolled down one sleep to reveal the one on her wrist before tilting her head to the side to show off one of the two that sat along her pulse line right under her jaw on both sides of her neck.
"Well your stink is leaking through, those patches must not be working," he grumbled as if her smell was offending him. When in fact it was the complete opposite. Her scent was drawing him in with his mouth water. He found himself leaning into towards her just to get a whif of her scent.
"Huh? I'll have to try some other patches. But these are the same ones I always use," she mumbled as she inspected the patches on her wrist to make sure they were still secure and in place which they were. It never dawned on her that when she stopped taking her supressors that morning her body would instantly start into overdrive to very quickly bring on her heat. She expected she had a few days before this would happen.
