《Pandora's Gift》Chapter 14

Once the kitchen was cleaned up after eating, Sakaki then had the joy of trying to force Hatori to leave. This kid was ready to camp out in the men's living room. It was like the jeep all over again. But this time it was worse. There was no amount of bribing that was going to get him willingly out the front door. Of course Kirishima didn't seem bothered by the child's tantrum in their living room as he refused to unfuse himself from Kirishima's leg. The kid knew how to get his way with the red head it seemed since Kirishima could not bring himself to forcefully pry the child off his own body. Bakugou was just sitting in a recliner scowling as always just watching the shit show that was Sakaki and Kirishima trying to talk the kid into letting go. He would never admit it but it was rather entertaining to watch. In the end the kid won out at least in his mind. Sakaki ended up having to wait till he passed out before she could pick him up from the couch without him attaching himself to Kirishima. But now came the issue of did Sakaki want to carry a sleeping kid home? Not really but she had no choice now as she carefully picked the boy up leaning his head into her chest and shoulder so she could carefully move without waking him.
"I'm so sorry about him. He's usually not too bad," she whispered softly as her empty hand moved to grab his backpack . Only to watch it be snatched up before she could get it. She almost expected Bakugou to have been the one to grab it but a glance up revealed it was Kirishima who had grabbed the backpack.
"Don't worry about it. Can't blame the kid for wanting to stay longer. Let us help you get home. Sure it won't be fun carrying him all the way by yourself," Kirishima said with that dazzling smile still in place as it always is.
"No, it's okay Kirishima. This isn't the first time I have had to carry him home," she said quickly, not wanting to be a bigger pain in the ass for the guys as it was.
"It's either we walk you home or you're sleeping on the couch," Kirishima said, sounding rather determined and she had a feeling he was not going to leave any room for debate either. Which forced her to allow them to walk her home since there was no way she was going to spend the night in their home. It was already bad enough that she had slept in Bakugou's bed once already. And she was still wearing his clothes as well.
"Fine we better get walking now or you guys will never make it back before Bakugou's bed time," she said, unable to help the playful smirk. She always remembered how the blonde in highschool had always been a stickler for his early bedtimes. But then again she was pretty sure he was up at like 4am. She would have to go to bed early too if she had that morning routine too.
"Oi what was that!" Of course Bakugou was loud and went off about how if she would have just forcefully dragged the kid out earlier than she wouldn't have to carry him now. But Sakaki just chose to ignore him; it had become rather easy to do it when she was feeling too tired to fight with him.
With the kid in hand and ignoring the loud Bakugou she headed towards the front door where her boots were sitting neatly awaiting for her. Slipping them on had been easy enough with her hands full. But lacing them up not so much. Ugh she had no desire to put Hatori down to lace up her boots. But walking home with the laces loose was asking to trip herself. Now she was just glaring at her shoes for having laces. But she didn't have to glare for long before a blob of blonde hair obscured her vision of her boots. She was completely shocked when Bakugou knelt down and proceeded to tie up her boots for her.

"Say a word and I'll blow your ass up!" Was the growl she received as she was just staring down at him with wide eyes. He must have felt her gaze locked on him as he tied up her boots. But it was hard not to. If it had been Kirishima she would not have been surprised at all. But Bakugou was a complete surprise and she would never have expected the man to do something like this.
"Thanks," she whispered softly once the last lace was tied. Of course the thanks got her a glare in return though she tried not to let his rough and loud attitude get to her.
With that done the three of them headed out. Of course Bakugou took the lead allowing Sakaki and Kirishima to walk side by side quietly not wanting to risk waking the sleeping child in her arms. Although Kirishima offered to take the boy a few times during the walk home she refused. It wasn't really that bad, even if by the time her apartment came into view her arms were starting to get sore.
"Thanks again you guys," she said softly as they paused before the front door to her apartment. She hated owing people and she clearly owed the two men for watching over her and Hatori while she was drunk.
"It was no problem, do not worry," Kirishima said of course, smiling softly at her. But the huff she gave and the slight blush gave away her embarrassment for having to thank them for what all happened.
"But," she never even got to finish her counter before Bakugou let out a low growl that had her pause and freeze as she looked over at the blonde.
"He said it's no problem. So shut up and just go home and go to bed," was the growl that Bakugou gave as he shoved Hatori's backpack into her empty hand before shoving his hands in his pants pockets before he turned and just started to stomp down the street heading back home. Leaving Sakaki to just watch his back as he retreated back to his own home.
"Sorry about him. But really it's no problem we were just helping a friend out. We would have done it for anyone," Kirishima said, giving her smaller softer smile which had indeed made her feel a little better.
"Still thanks. I owe you two," she mumbled with a soft pout which actually had Kirishima's shoulders shake as he tried to keep himself from laughing.
"You don't owe us anything. Just go to bed and get a good sleep," he said as he gave her a dazzling sharp toothed smile.
"Alright alright. Good night Kirishima," she said softly as she tried to give a wave with her hands full of Hatori and his stuff.
"Good night Sakaki," Kirishima called as he watched her manoeuvre her way into the apartment building before he too turned and quickly started jobbing after Bakugou who had actually not gotten very far. Whether it was because he was waiting for Kirishima or to also make sure Sakaki had safely gotten into her home Kirishima would never know.
The next morning started out like the last. A rush to get Hatori to school, especially since he was not impressed with waking up in Sakaki's home and not Bakugou and Kirishima's. But Sakaki didn't care as he pouted, reminding him that he could see the red head he loved so much after school. So once again it was a rush to get Hatori to school then she ran to work figuring she could get there than to try and take a train. At least it gave her a good morning workout as well as she made her way through the streets and back alleys before she slowed to a soft jog as she could see Bakugou and Kirishima's agency.

She was wearing a spare uniform, luckily she had multiple ones made and stashed in her closet. Luckily she had learned fast that she had a tendency to rip her hero uniforms usually while fighting since she used hand to hand combat and with her quirk she needed the material light, breathable and easy to rip when she needed to remove it. But that made it easy to rip on its own while fighting. Though she felt bad when she realized she had left her torn uniform in Bakugou's bedroom and on his floor. A bag in her hand also sported Bakugou's clothes that she had worn home. Now freshly washed and folded up in the bag she strolled into the front lobby of the quickly growing familiar agency. Hard to believe she had only been working with the two men for only the last week. Yet when did this agency almost start to feel like home? She was greeted warmly by the secretary at the front desk. Sidekicks waved and greeted her as if she was a fellow sidekick or hero for the agency. It really pulled at her heart she had never expected an agency other than Miruko's treating her so warmly.
It only proved even more why the two hero's who ran the agency were both top ten hero's in all of Japan. They balanced each other out so perfectly that the two were able to run an amazing agency and be amazing hero's together. It still amazed her that these were the same two idiots from high school. Though they had grown and matured some she was still happy to know they had not changed too much.
And as proof she walked into their joint office to find the two standing inside chatting. And of course they greeted her the same way they had been all week. Kirishima gave her a sharp toothed smile, and Bakugou was scowling as always yelling about how she was late even though she really wasn't that late. And so she shrugged off his loud complaint.
"Are you guys discussing what we are going to do now that our stakeout has been compromised?" She asked as she approached the two men.
"Yeah. That blunder is going to throw us back to square one now. It's a bit of a problem," Kirishima said as he rubbed the back of his neck. Yeah Sakaki was sure the gang had spent the last twelve hours or so moving and changing everything. Any of their old warehouses were probably empty already. If anything this even throws them first back than where they started. It was a huge issue.
"What I want to know is how the fuck did you know that they where coming for us?" Was the loud demand that Bakugou gave as he scowled at her.
"Don't worry about it. As an alpha you wouldn't understand it," she said before trying to turn her attention to Kirishima wanting to discuss what to do next. After all, she wanted to get back to her own agency. But this was only going to force her to work with the two men even longer than she had originally feared.
"No you're going to answer my damn question," he growled storming up towards her. She sighed as she realized Bakugou wasn't going to just drop it.
"Call it a sixth sense if you want. But being an omega one thing I've learned to do is trust my instincts. And I felt like I was being watched or worse yet hunted myself," she answered with a deep sigh. Though it seemed both men did not fully understand what she was trying to say. Alpha's so dense.
"Ugh being an omega we learn quickly when someone is trying to hunt us down. If we don't learn to listen to that instinct we find ourselves in dangerous situations," she added as she watched both men actually thinking over what she was saying before it seemed they finally figured it out. It was an instinct that kept her from finding herself raped by some asshole of an alpha. But she didn't just want to say that.
"Ohhhh," Kirishima drew out the word slowly as he came to the realization of what she was saying.
"Alright we are all on the same page now. So now the next step. What the hell are we going to do?" She asked, wanting to just get past that horrible subject.
"Well it's probably best if we step back. Well send some sidekicks under cover and have them just walk the streets to see what they can learn. We just need to sit back and stay hidden for the moment. Clearly me and Bakubro are too noticeable," Kirishima said, voicing his thoughts on what was best and of course Bakugou was quick to argue with it.
"I say we just go in and blow all their asses up," he growled as the smell of smoke became heavier in the air as his hands crackled with little sparks.
"And where do you think they're hiding now? Their warehouses are probably all stripped and empty now. We need to wait till we find out where they had moved to dumb ass," Sakaki said unimpressed with his desire to just run in guns a blazing.
"Yeah well at least it would get us some results," he growled but he did seem to try and calm down a little as his hands stopped crackling and sparking. But he seemed to let it die down after his little growl.
"I think Kirishima's idea is the best for the moment. We need to sit back and wait a little bit. See what we can find out. I'll join the sidekicks. I'm not well known like you two so I can walk around under cover with ease and I'm well experienced in undercover work. I'm sure that's why Miruko sent me here for this job," she said as she turned her attention to Kirishima as she spoke.
"No!" Was the comment both men gave at the mention of her wanting to go undercover. Which in turn just had her cross her arms under her chest as one hip softly shifted.
"And what the hell not? I've done plenty of undercover work. I may as well be out strolling the streets asking questions. I even have a few connections that may know something or be helpful in pointing me in the direction I need," she said simply not at all impressed that both men didn't want her going undercover.
"Cause dumb ass we don't need you going undercover. If we wait long enough the gang will resurface and we can hit them then," Bakugou was quick to say though Sakaki didn't like that answer she did not want to wait. She wanted to get back to her own agency.
"But this would be quicker," she hissed back, not backing down as she stepped towards Bakugou squaring her shoulders as she growled back at him.
"How about this? Let's head to training room one. Have a little hand to hand combat training. Whoever wins gets to decide if I can or can not go undercover," Sakaki growled, having high hopes in her abilities thanks to the hell Miruko had put her through for training. She wasn't the same girl she had been in highschool.
"Alright, fine. But if I win you're not going undercover," Bakugou growled, refusing to back down.
"Sounds good. No quirks allowed and if I win I'm going undercover," she growled back before they both stormed out of the office before Kirishima could even try to stop the two of them. He tried to call out after them which only earned him a joint shut up that came from both parties as they walked into the training room. Now Sakaki was happy she ran to work as she felt rather warmed up. She needed to let off a little steam and there was no better way than having a chance to get even with Bakugou after all the times he used to hand her ass to her back in highschool.
"Don't cry when I hand you your ass," she smirked as she quickly started to stretch a little after putting down the bag of his clothes that she had now completely forgotten about .
"That's funny coming from someone who never did beat me in highschool," Bakugou returned with a wide smirk. Oh that cocky confidence would be his downfall she was sure of it.
"That was years ago. Wonder if you've gotten rusty with all that fame going to your head," she said back as the two simply shot insults at one another as they stretched and poor Kirishima could do nothing but stand back and watch them with a soft shake of his head. Poor guy was going to find himself stuck between the two a lot as he tried to keep the two from clawing at each other while at work. Which was entertaining as he noticed the woman was softer when she was outside of her hero uniform and able to be more relaxed. But here she always had things to prove which was just as bad as Bakugou and the two would both refuse to back down.
"You'll find out just how rusty I am," Bakugou said, being completely sarcastic as he gave a huff at her calling him rusty as he walked onto the mats in the middle of the training room, "come on dumb ass show me what you got."
Sakaki was quick to follow after him still in her uniform while Bakugou was in some sweats and a wife beater. But at least he couldn't use the excuse that his clothes would be the reason for him getting his ass handed to him. With that they each took up a fighting stance. Sakaki kept her eyes on him. She was accustomed to fighting with someone who was stronger than herself. Though Bakugou was taller than Miruko but still it wouldn't be that different she expected him to be stronger and faster. She just needed to remember everything she had learned during her years of training with Miruko.
