"haerin!" i exclaim
and threw my arms around her.
she pouted and hugged me back, "don't just leave me without a proper goodbye. it was scary."
i chuckled and said, "i'm sorry. i didn't know that could happen."
she sighed and stared at me, "you cried?"
she must've noticed my puffy eyes.
"i guess so?"
she let out a small gasp, "you did! oh no, why?"
"remember the girl i mentioned not long ago?"
"you mean, hana?"
i nod my head.
a wide smile was plastered on her face, "what about her? did you finally go to her?"
she looked really happy.
not long ago, i opened up to haerin about hana.
she was really sad to hear the story and even comforted me while she was bawling her eyes out.
she told me that when i was finally ready, i should go see hana's grave and talk to her.
and i did.
it felt nice, although it looked really weird to see someone talking to thin air.
but to me at that time, it felt like i was really talking to hana.
and it made my heart feel at ease.
"tell me more about hana!" she giggled.
"okay okay,
well, for starters hana is a smart girl.
she would always remind me to do my homework and would scold me for sleeping in class."
haerin giggled, "you sound like a baddie, lele."
i scrunch my nose, "no i'm not!"
"yes you are!"
i huff and continued talking, "hana also liked to send me a shit ton of memes."
"she loves memes too! i love to send memes too!" haerin clapped.
"hana was really supportive and even helped me get jisung and jaein together."

"well aren't you two the cutest matchmaker!" haerin chuckled.
i snickered, "i guess it's only her who's the matchmaker now."
haerin tilts her head in confusion, "what do you mean?"
"i bet hana set us up together as well."
haerin's eyes widened, i noticed her cheeks getting red, "o-okay, why don't we talk about something else?"
i laughed at her baffled expression, "you're cute when you're flustered."
that made her reddened cheeks worse as she buried her face onto the crook of my neck,
"stop that!" she whines.
"can i ask you something, hae?"
haerin kept her face on against me as she murmured, "what do you want to know?"
"why are your hands bandaged?"
haerin looked up at me then at her hands, then she looked back up to meet her eyes with mine, "my hands are full of cuts and scars, lele."
i frowned, not liking what i heard.
"why?"
"i hurt my self."
i gasped and gave her a hug, "why would you do that?"
"i was so fed up with life, lele. i didn't mean it. but, it felt like it was the right thing to do at that time. i was so broken down into pieces. my sister also died a long time ago and that really broke me apart,"
"she was the reason why i kept living even if life's not worth living anymore."
i hush her and softly caressed her. "you don't have to hurt yourself anymore, haerin."
"what do you mean?"
"you can find someone new to be the reason why you believe life is worth living."
"i know..." she slowly trailed off
"you should know that, too." she mumbled and looked at me.
"because you're the reason why i believe life is worth living."
she smiled at me,
"i want to meet you in person, too."
i grinned at her, "we will."
"i promise you."

Tower of Babel: Speedrunner
Launch day. That was what they called it. The day when over four million people vanished in an instant from the island of Manhattan. The day earthquakes ravaged the east coast. The day a one hundred and one kilometer tall tower rose from the wreckage of the now empty city. The day every screen, newspaper, and smart phone displayed a single message from an unknown source: The Great Emperor has issued his challenge. From the ruins of the Old World rise the Tower. Its doors will soon open, and the great game will begin. A hundred floors and a hundred challenges await the worthy. And to the victor? A Wish of Unlimited Power. Cayden Caros yearned to play that game. His only problem? The Terms and Conditions. A strict set of rules that, among other things, prevented anyone under the age of sixteen from entering the tower. Forced to wait for over two years, Cayden did the only thing he could do to pass the time. He researched, he practiced and he prepared. It would take a lot to catch up to players with such an enormous head start. Lucky for him, he was a special type of gamer. A SpeedRunner So.... It has been a hot minute. I don't like talking about my personal life, but suffice to say I had some fairly bad times for the last couple of years and have only just recently pulled myself back to good health, physically and mentally. I have a very supportive partner, and am put together enough that I want to get back to doing what I love. Writing nerd fiction that I am too embarassed to try to explain when people inevitably ask what my books are about. Still beats when I used to write erotica. Story updates for book 3 should be on a daily schedule, baring unforseen circumstances. The majority of chapters from books one and two have been pulled down to keep with amazon's KU rules. Book one is found here. Book two is found here. If you like the story, please comment or favorite. Each comment goes a long way towards pushing visibility for the story, which means more people get to see it and I feel slightly more validated as a writer. I have a discord now where you can ask me things and I can be like 'no. no. I'm not answering that. no."

The Top Six
Strike me in anger, Scream at me in hate, I will take it because that is my fate. For I was born in coldness and in warmth, born to a family from the North, I was born into a family just as they appear, then I became the one to fear, I was born in a place that was torn, born into a family filled with scorn, I was born to a family forever gone, born to be nothing more than a pawn, I was born to be sold, born so my family could get more gold, I was born to a world that has no strife, yet born to never have a life. So how do I tell you of the things that I know? How do I make you see? That you and I are not so different from each other, The only difference is that you are you and I am… Hi everyone, this is my first time writing a novel, so let me know what you think. I'd appreciate all your feedback on how to make this work better. Also, the chapters I will be posting will be first drafts, so semi-rough editing and proofing. I will usually post on weekends (Saturday and/orSunday), but sometimes I will post during the week.
