At age two, he started to learn dance at his mother's studio, the Abby Lee Dance Company, three years later, when Shane was five, he suffered another tragic loss when his grandfather, George L. Miller had passed on because of esophageal cancer on father's day and a year later, he became an older brother when Abby adopted two girls at birth named Lauren and Skylar aka Skye in 2002, Shane won his first soloist national title and that was the first of nine national titles and currently, he is hoping to make it ten straight national titles and it was his last season as a competitive dancer.
