hope in an entity

i watch her walk slowly

to me

joy in a tiny friend

she may die, but will never end

no one could ever contend

laughter

covered with fur

she hops and trots and in a blur

she runs to me

happiness in a soft ball

her heart's so big though she's so small

i fall

gently into love

no, not romantically

but oh so emphatically

and magically

she's mine

hope in an entity

she'll never fail to make me happy

my old little dog, my daisy
