i am retiring

well, it's not a typical job

i'm retiring from being sad

i'm done with grieving and wishing for hope

i'm sick of crying and wanting to scream from the roof

i'm tired of wanting to climb the trees and fall slowly from them

i want to strive to the starlight

i wish to walk away from despair and find a new hope in a new life

i long to feel the warmth of glowing joy once more

so with this, i declare

i am retiring from sadness

oh, the boss is calling me back
