Little lights in my eyes, so happy and bright

as I stare out my window and glare at the night

Then I turn back to see the words on the screen

that assure me my life is all right

And I think and I think as my body starts to shrink

down into my bed, all blue white and pink,

To when I'll travel those miles just to see their smiles

but I'm brought back to reality as I blink

But in this world, those aren't just words

they're thoughts conveyed and frayed and transferred

And my stomach is churning and turning and burning

as my emotions are once again stirred

Because now I know that I'm not all alone

as I smile for a while, simply aglow

And it only now dawns on me that I've found where I belong

and it's here, in the land of unknown

So I shall never have the balls and the gall

to fall out and away, to betray and to brawl

For this is my home, my throne, the backbone

of any stability in my life, all in all

I am drained of pain and coherent thought

as I laugh and I act like I'm on crack and I talk

To those who make this fake face dissipate

and stop me from being someone I'm not

Love isn't long or strong enough to describe

the feeling that forms me and warms my insides
