ya boiii, it's prologue help time
lmao who am i uh
it's sometimes tough writing a strong prologue because they're supposed to hook readers as strong as the first chapter. so i definitely needed this.

writers love writing prologues, epilogues, and flashbacks. readers hate reading them most of the time. if you insist on writing them, make sure you know how, and when, to use them.
PROLOGUES CAN BE USED WHEN THE OPENING SCENE OF YOUR NOVEL:
1. occurs long before the main story.
2. is the ending to your story - making the entire novel a flashback.
3. is written from a viewpoint that is never used again.
4. is a real document.
5. is integral to the whole of the story but is not immediately obvious.
PROLOGUES MUST BE POWERFUL!
the opening scene and the prologue must be able to stand alone. if your prologue takes anything away from your opening scene leave it out.

Cybernetic Dragon

But, it isn't tagged LitRPG because no one has status screens, other than occasionally Idea Seven who likes to organize data into blue boxes. It isn't a natural function of the world to display level ups or skill ups with an announcer voice. I mention this to set expectations, because otherwise I feel like LitRPG fans might be disappointed by my lack of LitRPG elements while others might be turned off thinking I have a lot of LitRPG elements. I think that if you approach the story with an open mind you will appreciate the gradual way in which the main character learns and expands his understanding of how the world works, but the game mechanics aren't meant to take center stage to the actual story.

Unfortunately, this massive increase of magic produced by the planet also awakened a slumbered entity that was sealed off millions and millions of years ago by archangels. It made a group named, 'Black Tombstone' whose objective is to kidnap people and drain them of their magic to recover the entity's power back to its prime. Many humans and other mystical creatures have been suffering by the uprising of this terrorist group. A smart guy named, 'Rukito' is caught up in all of this; he gets targeted by one of the members to die, since his parents are one of the wealthiest people in Greenterra, and one of the few that know how to work and develop magic. While this is all happening, a new member is adopted into his family, a mysterious girl named 'Kasai' that is distant and reserved is now living with him in this colossal mansion, making matters even worse. Vol.2He starts uniting a group of people to start the search for the divine gemstones, each one of them having a tragic but hopeful past. When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. Please note this is an edited version of my story ‘city of captives’. It follows a similar structure but I’ve ironed out some of the kinks. If you read that version, much of this will be similar though there are some differences. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less!
